Game just started and we are already complaining about the refs. Absolutely horrible. It was clear that wasn't a face mask.

I have several question marks due to injuries and bye weeks this week. Jay Cutler or Tom Brady? Generally speaking I don't sit Brady but Cutler has such a favorable matchup. Which 2 RB's do you start, Clinton Portis, Joseph Addai, or Ronnie Brown? Also due to injuries I am having to start Kelley Washington or I can pickup Mark Clayton?

Comments? Regardless of what happens here we need to win today I'd like to see a decisive win but I'll take a win. GB wins and they improve to 3-1 and Minny drops to 3-1 and if we win we improve to 3-1. 3 way tie for the division with the 1-3 lions at the bottom GB looses and they drop to 2-2 and Minny improves to 4-1 and if we win we improve to 3-1. we would move into second place. I have to think that this matchup favors the Packers. Minnesota hasn't had a true test like this yet. The 49ers should have beaten them last week but due to a fluke didn't. The Vikings have been flirting with failure and this time I think it bites them. I personally do…

Jeff Garcia just got cut. Wouldn't it be a good security blanket to have him in Chicago? The guy has proven himself in the NFL, and I'm not all that impressed with the Bears' backup QBs. What could it hurt? Thoughts?

  10. Started by Pixote,

We have an OL with 3 new starters that need time to gel as a unit and will get better as the season progresses. As they become a "unit" our running game and pass protection will only improve. They faced 2 3-4 defenses in weeks one & two and now have that experience under their belt as well. We have a very young and inexperienced WR group that is getting better and better as they learn on the run. Knox & Bennett has exceeded my early expectations and look like the real deal. Hester is coming up huge in critical situations. We are seeing a very good WR group in their infancy growing on a game to game basis. Cutler is still working to get to know the t…

The main thing I have noticed about the Bears" receivers form the first 2 games is that they are catching the balls from Cutler with both hands in their mid sections and Knox on a couple of occassions leaped and caught the ball in his stomach. The same can be said for Kellen Davis,Hester and Bennett. The one attempt at a catch that was in a receivers hands was when Olsen got hit hard by Carter. This trend is not a problem now but when the weather gets cold balls may bounce off receivers.I have always been a fan of hands catchers but don't get madif you catch with the body but hold on to the ball. If you watch our WRs closly you can see receivers readjusting to balls that …

Is there any news about his condition. If he is out for a significant time like the others so far I can't see how we can't get Brooks in here.

  15. Started by BearFan2000,

I was re-watching the game and got to thinking...Isn't this technically a safety? He fields the kickoff in bounds backpedals out of bound and downs the ball out of bounds? Always thought if you on your own step out of the back of the end zone it's a safety? I could be wrong if the rules are different on Kick off returns as opposed to being on offense and stepping on the end line. Probably a dumb question but curiosity. Along those lines the kickoff pictured here is the one following the roughing which honestly that's a worthless penalty to simply kick it off 15 yards further up field. Unless you have a kicker who struggles with distance it's going to be a touchb…

Its nice to see for sure a QB that is rating above 100's for 2 games in row. today Cutler rated a whopping 126.38888. Its looking better all the time. Now the O line needs a good kick in the arse and we need to sign Brooks with Hilly out now with Ribs. We should be good to go.

Bears bring back Darrell McClover Posted by Mike Florio on September 29, 2009 4:45 PM ET The Chicago Bears have done a Tuesday roster shuffle, dropping cornerback DeAngelo Smith and re-signing linebacker Darrell McClover. McClover spent three years with the team, working primarily on special teams. As Brad Biggs of the Chicago Sun-Times points out, McClover was inked for his special-teams skills. He also will provide depth at the linebacker position if the team has any further injury difficulties. Pisa Tinoisamoa (knee) and/or Hunter Hillenmeyer (rib) could play this week against the Lions.

  18. I think we'd have won in either case but this can't be bad for the Bears.

Would be really nice not to have Hasselbeck for Week 3. Per Rotoworld:
