None of the Bears draft picks have questionable injury histories.

I think they are pretty sharp with their evaluations, and their valve on our players are: 77th-Gilbert 82- Inglesias 83- Moore 111-Melton This is the overall valves, and I think we have done well with needs and valve of the pick.

Jerry rolled the dice on Melton and lost out, IMO. I think Melton would've been available in the 5th round. Damn it.

While some are not sure about drafting a DT early 3rd, I think it worth pointing out that, other than maybe Michael Johnson, I think any of the players many here wanted w/ that early 3rd are still on the board. The way this is going, I think one or more of the WRs we might have liked (Iglesias, Murphy, Barden, etc) will still be there at the end of round 3. Also, several OL (Duke, Merideth) are still there. Sidbury is still on the board. Gilbert was not going to last much longer, but others we may want look like they will. Plus, if we want (for example) a WR and a run begins, we have the ammo to move up and get one.

... It seemed like a feeding frenzy for OL and WR's. There was some teams I thought drafted like they were sitting at the buffet table at all you can eat restaurant. I was pretty much busy all day but checking in periodically not wanting to miss our 2nd rnd pick. Unfortunately it was not in the cards. It seems Angelo tried to trade for Boldin but Az. wanted to much. Even though it would have been nice, but no dice. I can honestly say I do not know who was on the board at 49 when we traded Our 2nd rnd pick to Seattle to say if it was a good move or not. I guess Angelo saw no reason to reach for a #2 that they can have in the 3rd rnd. I want to thank yo…

At the beginning of the second round, the Bears told Ohio safety Michael Mitchell to stay by his phone because they planned to draft him at No. 49. But the Raiders beat them to it, taking Mitchell two spots earlier. "When [the Bears] did that, I was like, 'I'm going to be a Chicago Bear,' " Mitchell told the Raiders media during a teleconference. "That's what I was thinking." That's what the Bears were thinking, too, until Oakland raided their second-round cupboard http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...,4716296.column Wow. Everyone was killing this pick when it was the Raiders. It will be interesting to see how he pans out.
