  1. Started by Connorbear,

Kellen Davis should be cut tomorrow and no way in hell should we resign Devin. Both players really contribute nothing to this team. Peace

  2. Started by Connorbear,

If we change coaches and, thus, defensive schemes, does Urlacher come back? He was perfect for Lovie's cover 2 but does he fit a 3-4 scheme? Emery has no long-term tie to Urlacher and should bring in players that fit the scheme best. I know we all love Urlacher and want him to retire a Bear but the reality is that is a decision we are making is based on emotion. We need to be prepared for the very realistic chance he will not be back with the Bears. Peace

Now I want to start this by saying the team still could technically win a championship this year, but losing 4 of the last 5 is no way of gaining momentum to achieve such an accomplishment. 2012 offseason: TRADE: Marshall RE-SIGN: Jennings, Idonije EXTENSIONS: Briggs, Forte SIGN: Costanzo, Weems, Bush, Campbell, Rachal, Hayes, Wilhite, Hayden DRAFT: McClellin, Jeffery, Hardin, Rodriguez, Frey, McCoy I realize it's extremely tough to criticize a draft 8 months after it takes place, but their draft has the potential to go down as horrible. Rodriguez is too small to play TE and so he plays out of position at FB. At the moment, Conte and Wright are soli…

I had to get this in here, because it's just too good to pass up. Look what they caught Rodgers wearing at the game last night! Is that a black thong? Looks like it.

Looking at the game I only can only remember Bush in on 1 snap a 6 yard run with power. Lovie didn't mention Bush in the injury report today and Allen was in on at least 2 snaps.

  6. Started by ASHKUM BEAR,

It is early, but tonight I was looking through mocks. Today the Bears currently sit with the 24 pick, here is a route I can see them take. This of course is if they can keep Lovie on his remaining contract and resign Urlacher for 1 or 2 years. I'd also like to see them sign TE Jared Cook to replace Davis. Round 1 - Eric Fisher OLT Central Michigan Webb will be a free agent after 2013, it's time to end the experiment and draft a solid 1st round OLT talent. Carimi is the only OT with a contract beyond 2013. Round 2 - Larry Warford OG Kentucky 6-3 340 powerful athletic guard, that could start day 1. With Louis/Spencer contracts expiring and Edwin Williams/…

  7. Started by jason,

From PFW's "Audibles" section, where they supposedly are getting inside, anonymous information from NFL Scouts, coaches, and front-office personnel, they pose the following thought: "I'm surprised the Bears have not tried Carimi at left tackle. That's what he played at Wisconsin. Chris Williams looked better than Carimi at right tackle, and Williams had to bailed out from playing on the outside. He couldn't get it done at tackle or guard." You mean draft players and play them in the position they know?

Interesting stats...quite similar... http://www.pro-football-reference.com/coaches/FontWa0.htm 8 years at Det's HC (and I think his first year in 88 he was interim coach for the tail end of their season...) 4 playoff appearances Actually a better playoff percentage than Smith... Right now Smith is only 3-8...potential to go 4-9 The players loved Fontes. Just sounds very very familiar... And Fontes was booted after 1 losing season following 3 playoff appearances.

Looking forward to seeing if he gets some playing time. I liked him in preseason.

Maybe I'm nuts, but am I the only one who doesn't think Tice hasn't done a bad job as OC this year? A lot can be said for his OL, but even with that, he's been given dick to work with. We are getting everything we want from the OC. Cutler can audible and he's rolling out now. I would've liked to see more carries for Forte this year, but all around, it's his first year as an OC with 1 legitimate playmaker beside the QB. *prepares for war*

  13. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/...y-hes-an-idiot/ Lance Briggs on Jermichael Finley: He’s an idiot Posted by Josh Alper on December 13, 2012, 1:36 PM EST Reuters Packers tight end Jermichael Finley’s thoughts on the absence of Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher have made their way to Chicago. Finley said that he thought the Bears defense might be better off with Urlacher sidelined by a hamstring injury. Bears linebacker Lance Briggs made it abundantly clear that he doesn’t think much of Finley’s thoughts about the unit. “He’s an idiot,” Briggs said, via Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times. “Just suit up and play ball. His comments aren’…

There are a few OL UFA's that will be out there in March. OT William Beatty Branden Albert Ryan Clady Jake Long Jermon Bushrod OG Kory Lichtensteiger Andy Levitre Kevin Boothe Man, any one of the first 5 and one of the last 3 would look terrific on the Bears in September, no?

  17. Started by adam,

I was thinking about draft order for the upcoming draft and realized we will end up in the dead zone again (14-20) unless we have a complete turnaround and run the table. Over the past 7 years, 6 teams have had only 1 selection in the first 16 picks: 01 - Andrew Luck - IND 10 - Jerod Mayo - NE 12 - Haolti Ngata - BAL 14 - Chris Williams - CHI 15 - Lawrence Timmons - PIT 15 - Jason Pierre Paul - NYG First, what seems pretty interesting is the fact that these teams represent 5 SuperBowl winners and 5 losers, totaling 10 Super Bowl appearances in the last 7 years. Now this would make sense because good teams pick in the 2nd half of the round, but I …
