What are your thoughts on the next crop of HoF QBs? Is the bar going to get tougher with the inflated stats? The top 5 active QBs in passing yards are Brady, Big Ben, Ryan, Rodgers, and Stafford. Obviously, Brady's HoF status is cemented, but it is interesting to see where the other guys fall in. Big Ben is 2nd in active passing yards (62K), is 2-1 in SB's but in those two games, his WR's got the MVPs (Ward and Holmes). He hasn't appeared in a SB in 11 years. He has the numbers and post-season wins to get a jacket but its been a long time since he was "elite". Not many QBs have 60K passing yards and 2 SB wins though (Brady, Manning, Big Ben). Matt Ryan…

Vasher out before the game. Tillman, McBride & Manning hurt during it leaving us with Graham & Hamilton as our only healthy CB's Any word on the injuries??

Tremendous win for the Bears. We're 2-1 after going on long road trips to both coasts in back to back weeks. We've done this with a depleted offense missing two Oline starters against the best front 3 in the NFL (Jets), and against one of the better Dlines (SF) and the WR injuries we all know about. We still had good pass protection most of the game but had a few missed assignments throughout the game. Against that front and the myriad of looks Rex Ryan threw at them I was pleased but I'm saying this because we had Ola and DLP there. 3 weeks ago if you told me we'd have a former CFL OG starting against the Jets Dline I'd have expected much worse. Maybe I'm the…

None of these guys received much interest from the Bears, but the offensive pool continues to dwindle: Javon Walker close to deal with Raiders: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3277219 T.J. Duckett to Seattle: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3277080 Jabar Gaffney signs with New England: http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm

After reading Brad Briggs, he lives Bears football he states our cap to be 10.9 We cut spaeth,Davis, Hester, Mannley and that gives us 8.2 mill to add to the pie. Adam suggested some of the bottom of the roster guys can give us another 2 mil. (since we replace those players with the ones we sign) Lets say we reconstruct a few contracts to give us another 2.7 mil. So our total comes to 21.8 mil. drop the 5 million for the rookie pool. We resign Melton-6 mil applies to 2013. We resign Roach- 2.5 mil applies to 2013 We resign Louis- 2.0 mil. for the 2013 season we resign DJ Moore - 1 mil for the season We sign UFAs Will Beatty/LT 4.5 mill for the …

Finally given the chance to show why Jay Cutler has been lobbying so hard on his behalf since the start of training camp, WR Devin Aromashodu made a strong impression in the Week 14 loss to the Packers. Aromashodu highlighted his first start as a Bear with a terrific 10-yard back-shoulder TD catch. He had two catches for 10 yards in Week 15. "Cutler likes that he's a bigger target," a team insider said of Aromashodu, who was plucked off the Redskins' practice squad last season. "He's not just a possession guy; he can stretch the field. And he's the only receiver on the team who can win jump balls." Why the Bears waited so long before working Aromashodu into the mix …

I don’t know how reliable Over The Cap is but it looks like we are in a right mess. Pace just throws money without caring about the consequences. The amount of money tied up with Mack and Quinn is ridiculous especially when they have been poor. If we move on from Leno and Massie next year there is still a lot of dead money owed. 2 years ago things looked good and now it’s worse than the Trestmen and Emery era.

Seems like we have injuries in every unit and the game is no longer about skill but about attrition. Amos back to the starting lineup.

What say you? I'm going to go OT - I think they move up a few spots and grab the Utah prospect. If not OT, I think it will be a DB and think it would be the Tulane safety or a trade down and they grab the IU DB.

Broncos signed WR Darrell Jackson to a one-year, $1.5 million contract, according to NFL Network's Adam Schefter. Could've been a nice pickup for us.

Projected Bears OL for Sunday in Houston (from left to right): Leno, Sitton, Whitehair, Long, Massie White.....Jeffries and Royal at WR Miller at TE Langford at RB Cutler at QB

The Bears signed Maurice Jones a CB, kind find much about him, but is a rookie, UDFA player. They did this after Dropping Andre Fluellen/DT back to the old drawing board with the DT position.

Just as a side note; where it appears the Bears are plodding along in FA, Denver is setting up for another run (or two) to the Super Bowl. Added TJ Ward and Aquib Talib today and looking like Demarcus Ware will soon be joining Von Miller along the front seven... Yikes.

Why no DA? conspiracy theory is Lovie leaving DA on the bench so Cutler has to throw to Hester thus proving he's #1??
