espn.com's Jeff Dickerson is reporting that Sam Hurd hurt his lower leg in the protion of practice at Bradley-Bourbonnais HS. He tried to continue but it was determined that he should call it a day and spent the remander of practice on a cart with his lower leg wrapped in ice. Of course Lovie downplayed the injury,saying "We have a few guys banged up this time of year,but nothing serious".

Never been, but had a nice time Friday afternoon. It's hard to come away with much after two hours in shorts, but here's what I saw: 1) Bell makes this team, Chester Taylor does not. Bell consistently hit the holes hard. Taylor, on the other hand, was on the ground way too much. Considering his salary and the way Barber is playing (impressive in person as well), I don't see how Taylor stays. 2) Mike Holmes is doing everything he can to make this team. He was one of the most fan-friendly players I saw, talking to fans on his way out and signing a bunch on his way back from the locker room. But Clark says he’s just fine. Clark wrote on Twitter that he doesn’t expect to miss much time. “Took quite a shot out there but feeling confident I’ll be ok and back on the field soon,” Clark wrote. PRO DAY RESULTS: Free safety Quentin Scott impressed scouts from eight teams at Northern Iowa's pro day on March 31st. Scott (6-3 7/8, 224) worked out as both a defensive back and a wide receiver and put together a really good workout. He ran a 4.40-second and 4.45-second 40-yard dash, had a 35-inch vertical leap, 10-1 broad jump, 4.18-second short shuttle, 6.88-second three-cone drill and completed 13 bench press repetitions at 225 pounds. His arms were measured at 34 5/8 inches. Ten of Scott's teammates and two players from small area schools also worked out indoors on Mondo track.

He drafted exactly ONE Pro Bowler in Seattle - Lofa Tatupu. Even Angelo's done better than that. Maybe the whole will be better than the sum of the parts, but I can't see this move helping the Bears' front office learn how to draft.
