In a move that is polar opposite from what the staff with the Bears do with holdouts,the Giants immediately put their star DE back with the first team when he was cleared to play and announced he would practice under the terms of his current contract. I wonder if maybe he will use the upcoming game against the Bears to solidfy his case for a new deal. The game in the Meadowlands last season should have been on his personal highlight film for 2010.

Davis but from what I read on Waters, he could be a good addition. Solid and familiar. However (and the other side of the coin) I recall this type of talk about Orlando Pace and well....you recall how that went. I read the part of how Waters' phone may not be ringing and with Davis still not signed I have to believe many teams are just waiting for cuts (say just before Preseason game 4) to make some last minute roster adjustments.

I know a lot of people on here didn't like Lance, but Lance was a total stud for the Bears for a long time and was an all time fav of mine to watch. Wish he could have went out on his own terms but I'm glad he'll be covering the Bears!!! Lance, you are one of the all time great Bears and I thank you for playing the way you did on the field and for how you contributed to some extremely special defenses.

A little surprised that they went with a new guy as apposed to just bringing up Dunn or Williams. Edwards was a backup on a talented LSU team (that featured Ego) but the scouting reports I read say he has NFL talent. Has those long 35"+ arms that I remember reading Fangio likes. Watching in the bar again so it's hard to pick up on some of the details on how guys played. Here's some thoughts on the KC game: Offense Oline: Forte managed to run for 3.9ypc behind a rookie center and 7th Rd pick Leno while going against a stacked box all game long with no credible deep threat on the outside. There was nothing spectacular in the run game but it was effective enough. On the edges Kyle Long and Leno shutout Hali and Houston from getting any sacks. I'm not sure you could put together numbers in a more meaningless way than Total QBR. Rodgers threw for 77 yards with an average of 3.5/catch, an incredible 10pts on offense, and he's ranked 11th in Total QBR. Reports are out there saying we might bring in Ball. I like it if he's brought in to be the backup. I wanna see Langford get a legit shot to start. I do like Ball though. His first year he averages 4.7 YPC which is pretty good. Sucked last year, but which is the real Ball? If he's the 4.7 YPC guy he was his rookie season he and Langford could be a good duo beyond this year. Ball is still just 24 years old and I'm shocked he's not on a team somewhere.

Interesting to note that the Bears have 9 losses, with 7 coming against playoff teams, and 6 with teams projected to have 10 or more wins. We did not lose to a single non-playoff team in regulation (losing to DET and SF in OT). 6 of our losses were within one score or less (8 pts). Of our 6 wins, only one was by more than 5 pts (scary). So just as easily as we could've been 12-3, we could've been 1-14. It is nice to know our schedule will be heavily in our favor next season: Schedule

Daniel Jeremiah lists Fackrell as the 28th best prospect in the draft. Much will change between now and the draft but this kid was once considered a potential top 20 pick but his knee injury a year ago had him off the radar. Another guy I liked in Rd 2, Jonathan Bullard, he has listed at 40th and on many other boards he's moved up well into the 1st Rd. He's got 11 or 12 DTs in his top 50 (depending on where you list Bosa).
