Not expected to sign him, at least not yet. Expected to wait on making a move on wideouts until after the first preseason game on Friday. If Holmes was healthy, I would be on board with the move.

Let's hope this one goes better than the last ex-Cowboy WR named Hurd. One thing is clear, if you want to be a Bears WR you will likely be 6'-3" or taller, and if you're not then you will be really fast. I'd say the days of having an Earl Bennett, shorter, slower but with very good hands, on the roster are over. Herd ran a 4.49 forty at his pro day a year ago and was signed by Dallas as UDFA then promptly cut. Seahawks then picked him up and he didn't last long there either. I know some will look at this as a bad thing but I look at this as a good thing. He's got a lot of physical talent, played well in his 2nd year, first full year as a starter, and then fell apart in a year where our other safety was also terrible and our entire defensive front was brutal (and worst in the league against the run). He had no chance to play well a year ago and I hope he can prove that he's learned something from last year.

Tress Way and Chad Rempel were waived and Darius Reynaud and CB Thompson were signed. So this means that O'Donnell is our new punter and Hartson is the new long snapper unless we bring in someone else. Reynaud is going to be in a battle with Williams, Edwards,Ford,Spurlock and maybe even Holmes for the PR/KR job.But i think Edwards,Ford,Spurlock will be cut. Thompson being brought in is a head shaker IMHO...why do we need him???

He's certainly handed out more big suspensions during his terms than anyone on record. I guess here's how I see the good and the bad... Good Got a long term collective bargaining agreement with the players that puts a little more balance in the negotiations between teams and players. Seems to have gotten players attentions with all of the suspensions. I'd say the league has cleaned up its act pretty well. Obviously there's always going to be issues just like anywhere in society but overall, I'd say the douche quotient in the league is down from when he took over. McCray is horrible in coverage and while I don't think Vereen is going to be any better to start with, I'd rather live with the rookie mistakes and see if he can learn. Fixing the safety position is going to be a big part of our offseason and I think we should give Vereen enough game experience to know where he fits in those plans. I don't see McCray being in our plans for next season.

Did anyone else get mad at our running plays , too many fakes before Forte gets the ball, damn just give him the ball and let the line try to open a split second hole for him, instead of the line having hold the defense so long.

I saw some interesting stats on Football Outsiders in regards to our rushing defense. We are currently middle of the road for run defense, but have a few areas that really need some work. We are 25th in Run Stuffs, 25th off the Left Tackle (RDE), and 30th off the Right Tackle (LDE). I was really surprised to see how bad we have been off the Left DE as Houston and Young have been lining up there. That really needs to change, we are basically being gashed for over 5 1/2 yards on runs over the Right Tackle. The lack of stuffs makes sense due to the struggling LB's.

I wanted that Aaron Donald kid out of Pitt, has anyone heard or seen anything about him. How has he performed so far. Clearly we all know how well Fuller has played. Thought it would be cool to see how he has done compared to Fuller.

I really like Herring and I said all off-season that our LB corps were total stinkers and was a huge position of need. I'd say it is the weakest position on the entire roster. Herring would seem to agree. I bolded one part for added emphasis.
