  1. This is the most optimistic view I have seen out of the national media. Now I remain realistic and slightly pessimistic (especially with the schedule). My projection is more in the 7-9 win range, but 10 would have us on the cusp of the playoffs. So what do you think? Can Fox/Gase/Fangio and Pace double the Bears win total in one offseason? http://www.chicagobears.com/news/article-1...80-b4b49994f214

To me the schedule starts out brutal. We get a Week 7 Bye, which is a little early for me but better than Week 6. We face 5 winning teams in the first 6 games before the bye, so even 3-3 would be a huge success. The middle of the schedule is a little milder with 3 games vs winning teams and 2 against sub .500 teams. Then we finish the season with 3 out of 5 at home and only 1 game against a winning team (Week 17 at home, vs DET). We could really make a playoff push even if we went into those last 5 games at 5-6 or 6-5. Only 2 primetime games this year. Bears Regular Season Schedule (All times Eastern) Week 1: Sunday, Sep. 13, Green Bay, 1:00 PM (Screw GB)…

The controversial signing by the Cowboys of repeat spousal abuser Greg Hardy just took another turn as the league has suspended him for the first 10 games of the season ,which puts him on track to return Thanksgiving Day against his former team the Panthers. This of course is pending his appeal of his suspension is denied.

I'm not a big PFF guy, but these are interesting to note: Kevin White, WR, West Virginia Brandon Marshall is gone but fear not Bears fans because Kevin White is in town. A beast of a receiver, his physicality and ability to win downfield scared many a college defensive back and promise to do the same in the NFL. Only Amari Cooper forced more missed tackles, and only Devin Smith had more deep touchdowns (7) than the talented wideout. A truly explosive player, the tandem of him and Alshon Jeffery is one that rightly has the Bears fans in attendance sitting very pretty. This fit makes all kinds of sense. With the draft and most UDFA's signed, using our pre-draft depth chart, I tried to figure out who makes the cut at 53. The biggest battles are at LB and CB, and who plays what on the DLINE. Nevertheless, it should be interesting. For simplicity sake, I plugged some guys in for only one position even though they can play multiple. Looking at this you can see why we did not draft a LB. Also, it looks like the low end of the roster turnover would be 33% and can get as high as 45% depending on which 53-man roster guys stick (I see about 6 at risk) and 18 new slots already filled. What do you think, look about right? OFFENSE (24): QB (2): Jay Cutler* / Jimmy C…

I was looking for something else and came across this full game video of the 2010 playoff game against Seattle. This was essentially Cutler's last good playoff game. He throws for 2 TDs, runs for 2 more, and doesn't throw a single INT. For those interested:

Hey Guys, My extended family and I are going to visit Bears training camp for the first time this year. I'm really excited. Of course as a newbie, I don't know anything about it, how it works, if you have to get there early, need tickets etc? Also, are there any must see or do attractions or restaurants etc in the area? I know some of you guys have a lot of experience in this, so any tips or info are greatly appreciated. Thank you! Kyle

Big and fast: Louis is also a versatile and athletic young prospect. The 6-2, 303-pounder played tight end his first two seasons at San Diego State before being moved to right guard in 2007 and right tackle in 2008. In San Diego for the NFL owners meetings, Angelo attended a workout the Bears had set up with Louis. “He ran a 4.75 at around 300 pounds,” Angelo said. “I’ve never seen a guy that big since (former NFL offensive lineman) Randall McDaniel run that fast, and when he ran that fast, he was about 275 pounds. “[Louis] has some special traits. We even threw passes out of the fullback position just to give him a look there. He’s a pretty good athlete, s…

Mad L got me to the podium as a Parcells hater and I stand here now to vent my disdain for what I think is an over hyped windbag so here goes; Hi My name is Lemonej Iam a Parcells hater(pause)(applause). With my confessing of this hatrid I hope to feel cleanse but I still need to vent. Bill Parcells had these HOFs in his group plan Belichick, Lawrence Taylor and Harry Carson. Maybe Ty Law and Jumbo Elliott. George Young acquired his talent at NY and he has only been able to identify one positon in the draft better than everyone else and that is rush LB. LT, Willie McGinest and DeMarcus Ware says he knows this position but his lack of patience for WRs and QBs lead m…
