It seems like the Bears have been in the lead all season, but only have a 2-2 record to show for it. I was wondering in the four games they have played this season, how many minutes have they been in the lead and how many have they been trailing? The Answer The Bears have led for 170:37 of 250:39 minutes this season, or 68.1 percent of the time. The score has been tied during 46:21 (18.5 percent) and Chicago has trailed for only 33:41 (13.4 percent). The Bears did not trail in Sunday night’s win over the Eagles and trailed in their other win this season for just :53 at Indianapolis. The Bears have led for 56:01 of 60 minutes in the fourth quarter this season.

LOSERS: The Bears coaching staff The decision to squib the kickoff with 11 seconds remaining cost the Bears the game, plain and simple. What was with the soft zone in the secondary, allowing Michael Jenkins to catch a 26-yard pass to put Jason Elam in field-goal range? This is a team that could be 6-0 right now with some better coaching decisions. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=cr-w...o&type=lgns

FOXSports' Jay Glazer reports that the 49ers have decided not to wait for their Week 9 bye to fire Mike Nolan. Nolan is out as head coach effective immediately. The Niners let the news leak out a week before they planned to take action, which would have made the entire week and next Sunday's game against Seattle a circus. Assistant head coach/linebackers Mike Singletary has agreed to step in. Nolan took over in '05 with the organization in shambles. He is a good football coach, but didn't get results after a promising 7-9 2006 campaign. His record ended up at 18-37 in four seasons.

Seems that we are getting healthy, with Loyd coming back as well as Manning to practice. Williams is ready to go as well. It will be interesting to see how they work Williams in. Though I'd like to see him play, the OL is getting the job done, at least on pass protection, and wouldn't want to change things at this point. Also, I have a difficult time when i read about (Sun Times) getting Williams in later in the Lions game. Man, I hope they aren't taking the Kittens lightly! Just play to our strengths and, if we do have a good game Sunday, yeah, work him in.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,2053631.story After tests, Orton told he'll miss 3-4 weeks By Vaughn McClure | Tribune staff reporter 6:43 PM CST, November 3, 2008 After undergoing a series of tests Monday, Bears quarterback Kyle Orton was told he would miss three to four weeks, according to an NFL source. "The MRI revealed no ligament tear," according to the source. Coach Lovie Smith would not reveal Orton's status during a Monday news conference, saying only that his quarterback was scheduled to take more tests. Orton will miss Sunday's game against undefeated Tennessee but could return in time to face Minnesota on Nov. 30.

I am posting this here as well in the fantasy forum to make sure everyone who is playing in the contests see the thread and are informed. For those not involved in the contests, sorry. Starting this week we will be having Thursday Night Games on NFL Network. I will be putting up the Picksheets asap, usually on Tuesday evenings after I get home from work. If you want to select the Thursday night game you will need to submit a COMPLETE picksheet prior to the start of the Thursday night game. I realize this does not give you time to think over the remaining games but do not worry. After the Thursday night game is over, you will be able to resubmit a new pic…

I am not a huge Rex fan but I think he performs while Orton is out. He has three or four weeks to show the NFL that he belongs and he is practically fighting for his career. The Bears are not going to sign him after this season so he has to perform to show other teams out there that he can play in the NFL these couple weeks ahead are maybe the biggest of his career lets hope he follows suit.

Rank 14 (from 10) Chicago Bears (5-4) Do they ever blitz? Or throw some exotic coverage scheme into the mix? I'm so tired of watching these guys play hard and go down because they were so predictable. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writ...ex.html?eref=T1

yahoo.com Please give the Williams's 2-3 games. With Forte and Jones-Drew the next 2 weeks, we could benefit big time.

Noots’ Notes-Game 11: 27-3 Win over St. Louis By Michael Nudo The Chicago Bears (6-5) dominated the St. Louis Rams (2-9) with 5 sacks, 4 interceptions and over 200 rushing yards. They kept pace with the Vikings atop the NFC North, and will face them next Sunday night. A break out performance (AP Photo/Jeff Roberson). OFFENSE Quarterback Kyle Orton (18-29-139, TD) had a better game than last week, but still isn’t quite right. He moved around in the pocket better but struggled with his accuracy at times. He was sacked once, but it was more of him tripping as he got out from center. Orton’s prettiest pass was a 27-yard lob up the right sideline to D…
