Found this highlight reel on Youtube. Great compilation and awesome song. A good inspirational show going into the offseason. Proof that Angelo sometimes knows what he is doing. Also, besides Hester, there is evidence of Brendan Ayanbadejo needing to be kept as long as Hester is in Chicago. In almost every clip he (B.A. #94) is near Hester and helping him break it big. Both deserving of Special Teams Pro Bowlers. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ro5NlgD3h7A

I just wanted to get everyone's opinion on this. Here are the career stats for Manning and Grossman: > G QBRat Comp Att Pct Yds Y/G Y/A TD Int Sack Fum FumL Grossman 32 70.9 489 900 54.3 5907 184.6 6.6 31 33 56 18 10 Manning 57 73.4 987 1805 54.7 11385 199.7 6.3 77 64 93 34 12 On just a production standpoint, these two QBs are almost identical, however, Grossman has played a full season once, while Manning has 3 straight. Now even with all those games under his belt, it seems like Manning is where he will always be, an average QB with about a 75 QB Rati…

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...8010602212.html Redskins are $20 million over the cap, and even after restructuring contracts, how much money could they possibly free up? Also, I love how they mention stable 3rd wide receiver, then mention Berrian. So is he only viewed as a 2nd or 3rd Wideout level talent?

The Miami Dolphins will most likely look to trade out of the #1 pick for the draft. Bill Parcells is shaking things up and will look to move his defensive philosphy into Miami. With that being said, the consensus top pick of Glen Dorsey DT LSU will not fit into that system. Darren McFadden RB could also be a top pick, but Miami has Ronnie Brown who was tearing it up before he got injured. Then you have Jake Long OLT Mich and Chris Long DE Virg., both of these guys would be better off as there pick, but I see Parcell's looking to add more pieces to fill more holes. Here's were the Bears come in. If Chicago were to trade there #1-14 and #2-44, the trade would almo…

Check out this article link: Will James be back in 2008? Pure speculation, but if for cap reasons the Cards let James go, would the Bears be a contender for his services? Personally, I think the Cards will find a way to keep him, but he sure would look nice as our starter!!

Browns have difficult decision to make with breakout QB star Anderson I know he has limited experience/success. He did have an excellent 2007. There is squat out there for FA QBs If Rex, Kyle, & Brian can not step forward (time will tell) we need someone to push the bubble. Do you want to rely on a rookie QB, especially if we wait to later rds to draft one while we attend to other positions first (OL, RB, S....)? What would it take to get him????

It's interesting to read and post about current players and potential new additions, but the coaching staff lifted my eyebrows more this year than any, and I've never been a Lovie fan...(but that's another story) Any rookies that have made an impact made it immediately. We haven't developed anyone. Our team was one of the least disciplined team on the field every week. And all this after the season of off-the-field incidents last year. It seems to me that the coaches are just Lovie's buddies, and not necessarily talented football coaches. With the exception of Toub, would any of these guys have a job outside of the Bears? I think not...

I understand that he is our only WR, but is he worth a huge chunk of money? How many times did he drop a pass or give up on a route or make the wrong hot read on a blitz? I say bon voyage...we sign Bryant Johnson, put a ton of OTA work into developing Hester and Bradley, and move Wolfe into the slot. If we use more 2 TE sets, we can split Olsen out. I like his chances against any CB in the league, esp. in goal line jump balls.

I'm watching the Steelers game against Jacksonville and so far in the first half Faneca's pass protection is not impressing me. I've been on board with the idea of picking him up in FA but his performance right now isn't giving me confidence in signing him. At least twice I've seen him spun around backwards while pass protecting and a few times he's come off his man and to assist the LT and then his man ran in and hurried or sacked Rothleisberger. Of course 30 min is too little time to make a judgment on a player and he was selected to the Pro Bowl.

The majority of this board wants a OT in the first round. The question i want to pose is who is the Bears Offensive Star,Olin Kruetz??? I understand that fixing the Oline should be a priority but I look at the good teams around the league and their Offensive star is not an offensive lineman. Does anybody really believe that drafting and OT in the first is gonna make Benson not look to fall down after contact or make the WR's stop dropping passes. Even though he might not come back drafting Clady in the 1st is not gonna make Rex grow 5 more inches. I know people are gonna bring up how Joe Thomas comes in and Cleveland looks like a legit team but before they brought hi…

An NFL executive believes impending free agent Lance Briggs will end up with the 49ers this offseason. The Niners were close to acquiring Briggs at October's trade deadline, but the sign-and-trade agreement was nixed because Briggs was the Bears' franchise player. Briggs is a sideline to sideline outside linebacker in Chicago, but would play inside in San Francisco's 3-4 scheme. Source from Chicago Tribune.

Could the Bears be looking to the North for the first person to provide competition general manager Jerry Angelo has promised for running back Cedric Benson? The Metro News of Toronto reports that the Bears and New York Jets have offered contracts to running back Joe Smith, of the British Columbia Lions of the CFL. Smith set a Lions’ franchise record with 1,510 yards this past season, scoring 18 touchdowns. In two seasons with BC, he’s totaled 2,397 yards with 27 scores and a 5.4-yard per carry average. Smith originally was an undrafted free agent from Louisiana…

Within the realm of reality, what is your dream offseason? I think I'd like to see the following: FA Faneca, Starks, Flozelle, or Gross Draft RD1: OL (depending on FA targets/probabilities) RD2: OL (depending on FA targets/probabilities) RD3: QB (Brennan, Dixon, or Flacco (in that order)) RD4: S (Targeted BPA) Team Turner = FIRED Mike Brown, Tommie Harris, Dusty Dvoracek, Dan Bazuin = Healthy MuhMuh = Demoted Olsen = Promoted QB Position = Open TC Battle

  17. This is something I can't remember anyone bringing up before (which means it's probably been brought up 1000 times.) But as we talk about bringing in impact players, our history would indicate that we wouldn't give a rookie the chance to play. Yes it's happened before with this staff but only when there was nobody else available (Kyle Orton & Trumaine McBride). Probably the most blatant examples of this were how long it took us to get Hester involved during the 2006 season. Hell, the season was half-way over before we let him start returning kick-offs. Not to mention the way Greg Olsen often dissappeared this year. This theory could also explain why we n…

This is pretty much expected, with Trent Edwards taking his job. There's a few teams he could/would be an upgrade for, and he has a short contract. If I were the bills, I'd try hard to honor his trade request, maybe pick up another draft pick or a player some team wanted to discard. With a young team in need of talent, I think you do have to move him, even if you only get a mid-round pick for him or something like that.

I can't help my disgust for how this team has treated Mike Hass. He can easily be this teams Wes Welker. Welker has gone through the exact same crap Hass is going through just to get his shot. These guys both have the talent and for some reason from college to the pros they were passed over. Welker finally has the stage to open up eyes and he has done so. Although he still has to fight for the credit. Mike Hass can be that same player. He is exactly the kind of receiver this team needs...Will he ever get his chance?? This is a pretty good read on Welker...
