Sounded like he had an offer from Bears and Pats - ended up choosing to reunite with Vrabel. Wish him the best. Was hoping we'd keep him. Fact we were still talking to him tells me we may still add a vet safety yet. I still think a 1yr deal with Brisker could make some sense. Record - 9-8 (I have been flipping flopping on this from 7 to 11 wins, but will stick with something in the middle. A few facts to consider, the Bears were 1-7 in one score games last year and lost a few in brutal fashion. If those games even out, the Bears are 6-10. Considering they have an easier schedule this year, that ups it to 7 wins. Then consider offensive improvement (Moore, Wright, etc) for 1 game, and defensive improvement (6 new starters) for 1 game, and you can get to 9 easily. I have not been able to find any details on the Mayors suggestion of adding 5,000+ seats to Soldier Field. Any idea on where the hell these would go that makes sense? I love the idea for a variety of reasons. Not to mention, we are the 2nd biggest market and have the 2nd smallest stadium. But I can't think of any way that this is logistically practical.

after watching these new kickoff rules for some time now i truly dislike them. especially in tight games with time running out the field position caused by this new rule is atrocious. it starts teams out on a drive 2 first downs from kicking 60 yard plus field goals to win (somebody riddle me this... the nfl existed for 90+ years and a 50 yard field goal was considered nearly impossible. now it's almost like an extra point.). add to that mess, it eliminates legitimate on side kicks with this nonsense. if they are worried about injuries, make a rule that all special team players have to wear those helmets that help protect against concussions. add to that if they…
