for next yr from the Suntimes. Not sure if I agree with everything they are proposing but they do cover most. Interesting note is that Fred Miller has played all year with a partial torn MCL. Why the hell was this never mentioned????? Not saying that changes my opinion on what should happen with him going forward (he needs to go), but at least we know now there were other concerns. Also, Moose 3.3 million cap value next yr - no thanks. Get him out of here. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...-bear28.article Peace

Regarding this article: Barnett Appeal I thought Barnett was unprofessional the entire game, out of control, and when the ref tackled him it was warranted. He was clearly not in the play, nor the important part of the pileup, and was serving only as an instigator. I could swear I heard the refs yelling to "Get Up!" They do this every time there is a pileup and dickheads like Barnett jump on the dogpile. What's more, I noticed two or three times that he was a tad late on hits, something I am fine with as long as it is applied universally. But we all know from the previous game against the Vikings that it is not applied universally ("late" hit before half time…

here is a little bit of a different take on assessing the current team and moving forward. Here is the 53 man roster, go through it as if you were a gm and decide who you think should stay, and who you think should go, and why. The idea is not to tell us who you would replace them with, but rather why you think they should no longer take up a roster spot. 95 Adams, Anthony* NT 97 Anderson, Mark* DE 20 Archuleta, Adam SS 94 Ayanbadejo, Brendon LB 73 Bazuin, Dan* DE 67 Beekman, Josh G 32 Benson, Cedric* RB 80 Berrian, Bernard WR 16 Bradley, Mark WR 55 Briggs, Lance OLB 96 Brown, Alex DE 30 Brow…

this weekend per the SCORE. Personally, I would rather give Williams the reps and have Lance take a seat. Peace

Rough season for the Bears from an injury standpoint. He will be the 13th player put on IR. I think they lost over 60 starts to injury this yr as compared to low 20s last yr. Obviously, injury was not the primary reason for the Bears downfall this yr (coaching, personnel moves, inept play) but it did play a part. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...earnt27.article Peace

Matt Toeaina #75. He made 2 outstanding plays stuffing Peterson for losses. He has only been on the roster for 1 week and has made a very nice impact. Cross DT off the list of needs for next yr in the draft. Peace

After seeing today's games, it is evident that they should wait until the season is completely finished before voting. If you think about it, there is no reason to do it with 2+ games remaining with the Pro Bowl being played AFTER the Super Bowl. Urlacher would almost be a guarantee after his last two games: 8 tackles, 1 Fumble Recovery, 2 Sacks, 2 Interceptions, 2 Passes Defended, and a Touchdown. He is now the only player in the league with 4 or more Sacks and Interceptions.

i'll go ahead and come out and say I want McNabb in the offseason. We can draft a qb in the 4th or 5th round. With the first pick, we have to get a skilled player, if that's wr or rb, but not a qb. Whoever is at the top of the board, we draft. We could address the o-line in free agency. This thread was started to get the "WE WANT MCNABB" campaign rolling. i will appoint myself the campaign manger....BTW.......I hate Benson

I think there IS meaning that can be taken from this game. It was a meaningful game to GB, and it was still a day that saw the beloved sitting a bunch of hurt or out players and we still took it to them. What meaning to take? 1. Lovie's defense is still best when its forcing turnovers, and that's an easy catch 2. Moose if finished. That ball hit him squarely in the hole of the top part of his 8 on his jersey. 3. Turner finally remembered what it means to dedicate the offense to running the ball 40 times. It wasn't pretty, but it was enough to get first downs, and to get the offensive line out of their funk. They weren't exactly stellar, but they …

I really think this is something the team should consider for next yr. I believe he could be an all pro safety and allow us to cut strings with Mike Brown. The only issue may be his salary as he is being paid as a corner. Thoughts? Peace

...and Ron Turner is being made to look good by poor weather conditions and a REALLY stupid opposing ST coach. Makes me wonder: Is Turner the problem or is it a bad O-line? The O-line is performing well today and Turner's calls have been very good although conservative. I'm just enjoying some early holiday cheer and fun to watch football. Hope the Bears pile it on the Packers to get some frustration out. I'd like to see another 63-7 final score.

Hey Guys! First time back since we switched over to the new site. I like what you guys have done to keep this going! It seems to be a much more user-friendly site as well, so keep up the good work. I also haven't been back cause I've been down on this team for the past month (who hasn't?) and getting to see them get beaten twice in 5 days (i was at the Giants and Redskins games!) really sucked. That said, the big win over GB yesterday got me in the mood to post again, so I thought I'd spout off about "winning when it doesn't matter" vs. "sacrificing victory for a high draft pick". Let me just come right out and say it makes me sick when fans, sportswrite…

Here are the top FA & Draft prospects known to date for 2008. How do we fill out our needs at this position? We obviously have to make some assumptions as to our actual needs. I would say OK at center is solid. I think Tait moves to ORT and is solid there. We have several options at OG, resign R Brown, I did not like St. Clair at OT but think he might actually be an excellent OG, Garza? ..... One of these 3 would be a good fill at OG That means we need, IMO, an OG and LOT. Here are the top FA 2008 listed by one site. How many will actually hit FA is another question... I have not followed the College scene this year and theref…

Pardon me for bringing a little joy into this den of gloom and doom. But I had a little sip of kool-aid after our sweep of the Packers... Given all the damage done to this team: Losing a DT before the season started to his continuous run-ins with the law, another starting DT to IR and another having health issues all season. Losing pretty much the entire OL to age. Losing the better of the two RB's to FA and having little depth at the position. Losing BOTH starting corners for chunks of the season. Losing your starting safety to IR early on and having another guy on the team acquired via FA who just plain blows. Losing your starting Q…

Kyle Orton credited his neckbeard with helping him overcome the cold and windy elements in Chicago on Sunday. "Certainly with the wind, it was cold, but I have a beard so that helps out a little bit. It's kind of warm in this area," Orton said. As always with Orton, there is a method to his madness. Lance Briggs' status for the Bears' season finale is in doubt due to a hip injury. Briggs wants to return to ensure that he has played in 75% of all snaps, thus preventing the Bears from placing the franchise tag on him once again, thus preventing what will surely be a big payday. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/FutureOpponents.html Home: Saints Bucs Jaguars Titans Packers Vikings Lions Away: Falcons Panthers Texans Colts Packers Vikings Lions With one game remaining and the playoffs out of reach, I figure it's a good time to start looking ahead to 2008. What come first? The draft. Next? Who we play, and that's listed above. I think that's a pretty easy schedule with the exception of Indy, Jacksonville, and possibly Tampa Bay. What do you guys think of it?
