Honestly, in my lifetime, I can't remember a team with a better, deeper collective group of receivers than this team with: Moore, Odunze, Burden, Zaccheaus, Loveland, Kmet, and Swift. The best that I can remember for the Bears was 2014 with Marshall, Jeffery, Bennett, and Forte who all 4 of them had over 100 targets. I asked some different AI's to give me a list of the best Receiving Corps in NFL history. The 1999 Rams were considered the best, and I can understand that at the top end, the Bears do not compete with Bruce, Holt, and Faulk, but from Receiving option #4-#7, I think the Bears have the edge. Isaac Bruce (WR): A second-round pick in 1994,…

So we are now nearing the halfway point of the season, already had the bye, so we should have a pretty good idea about who this team is and what their identity is, especially on offense. Can someone tell me what that is? The fact that we don't know after a full offseason and two months of the regular season is worrisome. Something is wrong.

I don't mind that the Bears are being modest with their free agent acquisitions this year. They were one play from the NFCC, had a ton of injuries, and most of their offseason losses (snap-wise) were on the defensive side of the ball, where they need upgrades anyway. Also, just like every other year, there have been some outrageous deals going out. Jaelan Phillips led all free agents with $30M AAV and had 2 sacks in 8 games for PHI. Pierce resigned with the Colts but still got $28.5M, which is crazy high for a WR2. Hendrickson got $28M and Lindenbaum got $27M. Rarely do signings like that work out in the long run. Of the 15 teams that signed a new player with a higher AAV…

  8. Worth watching if you havenโ€™t. Some takeaways: The Bears, right or wrong, are much more comfortable with D line than we are. Iโ€™m not even sure they went into the draft with it as a priority, though I expect theyโ€™ll see the need to add there today to shut people up if nothing else. They also pretty clearly were not really enamored with this DL class, which is probably why they signed so many DTs in FA (as I had been theorizing). Donโ€™t expect there to be a big competition at C unless Jones really blows them away. The plan is clearly to start Bradberry. They see Shemar as DE, not DT. He was mentioned in the group of edges with Montez, Dayo, and Booker. I donโ€™t necessarily …

Sorry guys, but I deleted the post offering a poll to decide who is at fault for the in-fighting. Truth be told, many involved share the blame. Having a poll will just cause further issues. I don't usually delete posts, so I hope you understand.

Great game for the Aussie, but he needs to keep it up for the remainder of the season. I have no clue why he was doing a Gill impersonation the first 3 weeks. After that great game, he now is 19th in Punting Average, T-5th in punts inside the 20, and T-4th in total punts. I hope he can creep into the top 10 by the end of the season because half the guys ahead of him are UDFAs. So the 4th round pick usage is fine if he is an elite punter, but if he is just "average", then there was no point in using a 4th rounder on him. Hopefully he reads this thru remote viewing and kicks the crap out of the ball for the rest of the season.

  11. https://www.profootballrumors.com/2026/03/bears-to-sign-wr-kalif-raymond#ref=home $5mil is a lot for a returner. Gotta think Duvernay is gone and maybe he replaces the role OZ had too.

I've read several articles this morning that the Bears had noticed from film of the LVR games there was a key to how to get a jump on the ball being snapped. Here is a paragraph from a fantastic article on the NYTimes.com/Athletic site: The article is excellent, going into depth with the players about the blocked FG. I found it one of the best I've read to enjoy a 'feel good' moment: Bears magic trick: How Josh Blackwellโ€™s blocked field goal saved the day in Vegas If you cannot access the article (some content on the site requires a subscription), there is another article on SI.com: Josh Blackwell's 'out of body experience' and Bears' good, bad and …

The more I think about it we all need to plan a vacation so that we can see one another face to face. After all these years, I'm not sure how we have not come up with plans to meet at training camp or something. Even if its just to slap the dog shit outta your TalkBears rival.

Poles was saying Ozzy won't be back until well into the season next year. Kiran is the only available option still on the roster. Theo would have to be resigned back as a restricted free agent. It could be a draft pick even the first round is in play. I would suspect it has to do with could Ozzy come back to the level he was playing at when he was injured. Or a veteran Free agent. Does anyone think the possibility they resign Braxton Jones? I hate to say it but a free agent with a ton of starts may be in play.

Didn't know where to stick this. The starting LT of the Packers got arrested at a NY airport for having an unregistered gun getting on a plane . I never double checked this story but was hoping it's true. Suspension coming?

After climbing as high as the WC2, the Bears are outside looking in now (on the bubble), tied with LAR and SF at 4-4. The 3 WC teams at the moment are MIN 6-2, PHI 6-2, and GB 6-3. So there is already a 1.5 game gap between the Bears and the last WC spot. Just looking at the schedule, even if the Bears play decent, beat NE, then split the last 8 for a 5-4 record, that is a 9-8 record which I don't think will be enough for the playoffs. Passing GB is the only chance and GB would have to go no better than 3-5 down the stretch to finish 9-8 AND CHI would have to gain the tiebreaker against them or outright better record to tie them with 9 wins. The most realistic …
