We've drafted a CB who is going to immediately fit right into this backfield. He might not be the most athletic (maybe more quick than fast) but listen to Bryant McFadden talk about what he brings to the table. This kid will be playing early this season. This is the kind of CB you want playing behind a good pass rush.

Obviously this will be easier after Thursday night, but curious to hear what people are thinking/hearing/guessing. I listen to a ton of bears podcasts and read almost every article written on them , I'm bored, and so many of these bears people place CB as one of their important needs. A lot of them are mocking a CB either as the first or second pick. My logic tells me that the bears are going all in on winning this year. As I look at needs, I have to look at who is already on the team. Tolliver, Burns, Robinson Xavier Crawford, Denmark, Fuller, Joseph, McManis, Skine, and Shelly. They have a lot of capital invested in the position already. Knowing which ones are good or not are still a question but they have many options At S they have 5 , 1 star and a backup that…

Madness, to me this was all setup. Gronk retires, Brady doesn't return to NE. He has the pick of the league, picks TB, then after NE signs enough players that prevents them from taking on Gronk's contract, he magically unretires which forces NE's hand to make a trade immediately (they cannot go over the cap). To me, this seems way too convenient. Also, TB magically had enough to take on his contract.

Trade back a 43 and hopefully get a second and third and Select a Wr, Safety, or workhorse back like Akers or Taylor? Thoughts?

With only 2 high picks for now , we have to figure we only get 2 potential starters at 43 -50 . What helps us the most since we added players at all of our need spots. It we draft a OT, almost anyone we would get there is going to need 1 yr of growing. Jones- Cleveland and jackson are all rated higher but could drop. Is it worth setting him down for 1 yr? Ruiz is the only IOL ranked a head of us, with bringing in IFEDI and holdovers Bars- Coward. Ruiz may start but we're doubling up on assets we have at that spot. A bigtime WR would bring added speed for our offense but may not even be a starter his first year. A RB starts out 3rd on the depth …

So I watched "A Football Live" about Bradshaw. I had forgotten how much bad press he got the first few years for being alot like Mitch. Not football smart, slow to process, bad choices. But also how they both have some of the same traits. Strong arm, able to avoid the rush in the pocket. Even some of the same team traits. God D, hopefully a stronger running game this year. Some good choices to throw to. No not saying the Bears have the hall of fame roster the 70's Steelers had, but we have some above average players. Former Packers 2nd Rounder, was stuck behind Bulaga and Bakhtiari, so it's hard to get a read on him. He was on IR last year, so who knows. Another guy to compete with the revolving bookends we already have. One year deal, probably near the vet minimum, it can't hurt.

Ok, so I took a look at the trade values for both of the Bears 2nd round picks and which teams had compatible trade value options based on the picks they had. The options are based on the total value the team would get back, the options are in order of value the Bears would get back, so Option 1 has the most value. For the 43rd pick, it has a value of 470.
