The Bears released Moose per NFL.com. While I did not think he had a great year, who are we going to get to replace him? here does that leave us draft wise?

I have a bad feeling about this years draft. Maybe winning the GB & NO hurt us? I think most of us will be disappointed unless we either trade up or trade down. If we stay at 14, it would be a miracle to have Clady, Williams, or Mendenhall be there. Otah should be there, and I believe he'll be a great run blocking RT, but I'd rather go w/ a LT prospect. We can make Buffalo an offer to move up with our extra 3rd as I think they would be better off getting the extra pick and getting the guy they wanted at 14 all along. Sanders said, "They're looking for tremendous things from this guy, Devin Hester, but Devin Hester isn't happy with his contract and he deserves to be paid amongst the league's best." Don't get me wrong, I certainly recognize that Mendy is the better prospect, and the "hometown boy" and could very well be a better player in the pros. I was also a little disappointed we didn't get him. But as far as the skills they bring, they both are basicially one-year wonders who catch the ball well and don't have great timed speed. Forte is more suspect coming from a lower level of competition, but he's also coming from a more pro-style offense, from what I've seen. While I still question the police tactics on the boat, I think Benson blew it on the recent situation. Whether he was drunk or not, whether he should have blown or not, whatever. Seems like no matter what topic I read here, I read something about cutting Marty Booker? I just don't get it. The guy set almost every receiving record in Chicago Bears history in the time he was here. He's back now. No, he didn't light up the league while he was in Miami. IMHO we are losing games not because of the offense or because of the defense but because our OC Turner has no imagination for winning. Why do you keep giving the ball to McKie with 3rd and 1 or 4th and one. This is two games that he has done that. With the way teams are stacking the box you have to be a thinker, and I think(I KNOW) that the fake handoff bootleg pass will work to the TE every time. All the falcons needed was a field goal and he decides that his injury obliterated Defense is going to be the better tool even in a more difficult position disadvantage then their Special Teams on a routine play. The players made tons of mistakes throughout the game but they still brought him the lead with 11 seconds left. He was not tired or hurt when he made that mistake he was just dumb.

With the June 1 cap savings applied, the Bears now have over $15M in cap space. So there is a good chance they pick up a few more FAs in this class over the next few weeks. It will be interesting to see where they target. I hope they go after a RG at least.
