I listened to some of Lovies show monday nite, and it sounded like the Vikings surprised the Bears with a lot of blitzes they hadn't seen before. They made some adjustments and Rex got a lot more time in the second half.

The thing I keep seeing that everyone has against him is that he can't pass block. I think we all can agree that we like Rex Grossman on the field and healthy, so Benson is not going to see that much time this year. To be honest, from the sounds of it, I would like to see him used as a third and short back, and that's about it.

I get the feeling our chance to sign Briggs was before this season started. I really think since we didn't get anything done, once he hits the open market, someone will offer him an obscene amount of money, making it really unpalatable to bring him back.

I'll believe it when I see it.

It will be interesting to see if the NFL steps in and suspends him for this now... It would be a big loss to lose Manning for a month.

You could actually throw Rex into the group because of its injuries. I think something he still has to learn on the field, but all in all, I think the injuries might have helped him in that sort of way.

I would really like to see them try Ced as a third down back sometime... The whole Thomas Jones on 3rd and short thing just doesnt' work, they need to either try the FB or try Benson.

I think that is the most mindblowing thing of all. Even with all of the missed tackles, this team is still one of the best defensive teams in all of football. They didn't give up anything on the ground again, and they didn't allow Minnesota anywhere near the endzone, and have given up a grand total of 16 points in 3 weeks.

3-0 would be huge right now, especially with the Seahawks looming for the Bears next week, not to mention the chance to also be 3-0 in the all important vs Division category.

A bears QB for MVP consideration? How crazy is that? Let's keep Rex healthy for a season before we start dreaming about stuff like that.
