  1. It's a Bears site. Do not apologize for that one. In fact, I demand an apology for that apology.
  2. I'd really dislike having to do that, but I'll give this spammer surge a few days and if it doesn't stop then we'll take that step.
  3. If any admin other than me removes one, please make sure you both ban the screenname and the IP address. If you don't know how to do that, then alert me here and I'll take care of it.
  4. ANd yet, 29 other teams, including the teams who are supplying the Bears GM interview candidates, disagreed and decided he wasn't even worth a roster spot.
  5. Working on it. Had to prune 6 of them this morning. Yuck. Guys, if you see a spammer, please post it in this thread, don't report the post, with as many as we're getting hit with right now it will fill my email box up if they all get reported.
  6. Hey, he doesn't need to find a QB this time!
  7. I don't think the Bears would be a very good Cuban style investment. Since they're locked into the smallest stadium in the league,t her'es not a whole lot of opportunities for real revenue growth.
  8. The other way to ask it... Assume for a moment that Darryl Drake is actually the best WR coach in NFL history. If this were the case, how would things be different? Aside from maybe Bradley again, I don't see who the Bears could have possibly gotten better performances out of. Hester maybe, but as the previous poster noted, he's not a WR anyway, yet he's been moderately effective at the position at times.
  9. Give me one of them and then a gamble guy on the other WR spot, either someone drafted maybe in round 2 or someone coming off an injury like Steve Smith
  10. Actually you might well have a different WR trouble, 2 guys demanding the ball and not enough touches possible for either of them. That doesn't always work out well either.
  11. I have no idea. All I do know is that he's had virtually nothing to work with.
  12. If the talent hasn't been there at the position (and i don't think it has been)...then the guy who failed to bring in that talent was the guy who was fired a week or two ago.
  13. I guess the obvious question is...how much WR talent has he been given that has failed? The only one that really comes to my mind is Bradley...are there others?
  14. Really, seeing Enderle either stink or be good for 1/2 of 1 game at the end of his quasi-rookie season against a depleted team isnt' going to tell anyone anything about him. It's just not.
  15. Remember though, he was had for 2 seconds...when he was clearly forcing the team to trade him and threatening to not play at all. That's not the case here. Miami doesn't have to trade him unless it's a deal that makes them solidly better.
  16. It's going to be up to Mike Tice to decide what Enderle has, because honestly, no one has a clue.
  17. I had the audacity to suggest the exact same thing over at Soxtalk yesterday and the response was that I had said something particularly incredible and unbelievable.
  18. So you're saying "Rehire Jerry Angelo" is part of this plan?
  19. The Bears ought to have much more money to spend in FA than the Jetropolitans, and frankly, both the Jets and Redskins have bigger needs. I wouldn't be shocked if both of them try to keep their cap space open to try to be the team trading for Manning. The Jets in particular would be a perfect fit if they can pull together the cap space to do the trade.
  20. The last time the Bears had a free agent need that was as obvious and glaring as WR should be to them right now...they walked away with Julius Peppers.
  21. Would you give up the 19th pick for Marshall?
  22. Are players actually allowed to do that?
  23. Well, it's not the worst point in the world...right now, teams can stop the bears from interviewing their staff, even for promotions, if they're in the playoffs. You want a guy on the staff of a playoff team, you probably have to wait a few weeks.
