If we draft Robiskie, he'll be our 2nd or 3rd WR.
-
Hester Bennett Davis Rideau That HAS to be worst case scenario, right?
-
I hope he's ready for 8-10 carries per game. Does this mean we're taking AP out of the #3 RB spot and moving him specifically to special teams?
-
The Bears are anywhere from 31-34 million under. Why couldn't we afford him?
-
Chad Johnson is not a team cancer. He repeatedly gets out there and performs. He doesn't drop passes across the middle like TO, and neither do the other guys. All the other guys shut up and play. All TO wants is the ball yet he drops 2 a game. GMAFB

Didn't Jason get the memo? TO is no longer a great NFL WR. While he is better then what we have, who isn't? TO's play has declined a ton in 2 years...last year I think he led the NFL in drops. He definitley isn't a top 10 WR anymore (Fitzgerald, Boldin, Wayne, Ward, Moss, Welker, Houshmandzadeh, Chad Johnson, Evans, Royal, Marshall, Andre Johnson, Roddy White, Steve Smith, Jennings, Calvin Johnson, and Colston are all better then TO right now, IMO). I'll pass.
-
You're all missing the point. Not only is he a pain in the ass, but he just isn't the TO I'm used to watching anymore. He drops too many passes.
-
One of my best buddies is a Colts STH and he told me that this past year Harrison's play declined significantly this past year. Also, his word + I watched a few Colts game this past year and he doesn't seem like the same ol Marvin Harrison. Holt I wouldn't mind, though.
-
TO isn't even good anymore. He drops too many passes and like everyone has said, he's a cancer. He's old, and he isn't even a #1 WR anymore.

More players the Bears aren't likely to sign

While Barnes is a solid run blocker, he gave up 7.5 sacks last year which is like 23rd of 32. That's horrible, and he's going to get $5 per yet he sucks. -
Sorry but there's no way we trade up for Crabtree. I'd love for it to happen- don't get me wrong- but he won't do it.

I know this has nothing to do with this thread, but I'd love to see us trade our 1st this year to a team who could struggle next year for their 1st next year and 3rd this year. I was thinking the Jets? They lost Coles and they're banking on Clemons (maybe Sanchez) to win them tons of games next year. We'd have the same amount of picks just no 1st rounder, which doesn't seem too bad because there's no definite guy at 18 I'd like. Maclin, DHB, English, and Oher all have questions.

I was told all his comments about the other positions not being that big of needs were smoke-screens.
-
Would you rather have Briggs or Berrian? To give Berrian $15 million guaranteed or whatever it was and $42 million over 6 years is f***ing absurd.

Grossman next visit: Toronto Argonauts

Maybe Philadelphia? They have two firsts.

Antonio Bryant was franchised by Tampa. Bryant Johnson signed with Detroit like 3 days ago.
-
When did I say that? Because if it was recently, I apologize. When I was making this mock, I saw that he measured in at 6'1 260 at the combine. Although his height worries me, at 260 that's a solid starting point on his weight. Alex Brown is only 260 right now according to NFL.com.

Holliday played in all 16 games last year with less then 4 sacks. Another guy I'll take a respectful pass on.
-
Henderson is interesting. Then again, he played in a dome with Drew Brees and didn't even catch 800 yards. Sure, they did have Colston and Moore, but Arizona had Fitzgerald and Boldin yet Breaston caught 1000+ yards... If I'm not mistaken, if Henderson isn't signed by the Saints this year, this will be his 3rd team in 5 seasons. Why?
-
I agree 110%.
-
Were tons of bridges burned when Bobby Engram left here? Because last year, he nearly had 500 yards without Hasselbeck. The year before with Hasselbeck, he played all 16 games and had 1140+ yards. He's a veteran and can catch the ball nicely. He'll be cheap, and I wouldn't mind bringing him in. Torry Holt would be a nice addition too, whether it's a pick-up or through a trade.

If the organization is worried that WR's take too long to develop, then we're in for a rocky next decade. Sure, they do. But while our window may seemingly be closing, it really isn't. Plenty of our good players are either very young, young, or right in their prime (Tillman, Briggs, Harris, Harrison, Alex Brown, Beekman, Forte, Orton, Hester, Olsen) and we still have plenty of more good years ahead with the right offseasons. We need to go WR in the first 2 rounds this year and maybe another in rounds 5-7 and that's the bottom line. We didn't try for Bryant Johnson and like BearSox said, I wish we would have. Had we offered him a 3-9 deal like Detroit did, he probably comes here over the Lions. Instead, we must go into the draft in late April and get a playmaker, whether the front office feels that's Maclin, DHB, Britt, Nicks, or Robiskie. Luckily for us, IMO we're still in the thick of the race for a division crown next year. Minnesota's secondary is still absolutely awful as is their QB situation, Green Bay is switching defenses and hasn't added anyone, and Detroit is...well...Detroit. While I could see Green Bay trying to get Peppers, switching to a 3-4 in 1 year is still tough whether you add Joe Pro Bowler or Joe Schmo. Peppers will make them a nice defense but that defense will still struggle in year 1. We didn't add much either, but last year we won 9 games with no OL, a shakey QB for the 2nd half of the year, a rookie RB, a god awful WR corps, and a pass rush then can cram it for all I care. Have a draft that gets 2 (or more) playmakers in here right away and we win 11 games. In 3 years, maybe we get 4 nice players out of that draft and our window is huge.

If Seattle was smart now, they'd take Raji at 4 or trade down and select Maclin or DHB with that traded down pick. Houshmandzadeh + DHB/Maclin = Hasselbeck top 5 QB next year.
-
Didn't he have like 4 sacks last year, IIRC? Pass.
