Cutler officially available
I meant to say their RB is bad. They were pretty much down to you and I at the position at the end of the year. Right now, he is worth it. The last 11 of 13 SB winners have have good or great QB's (Brady, P Manning, E Manning, Warner, Elway, Brady, Roethlisberger, Favre). In this era, you don't win with average QB's. We get Cutler, go WR in round 2, and build the OL and get the D young in the next few years.
-
What would you give up for Cutler?
Orton, our 1st and 3rd this year and a conditional pick next year depending on his durability or a statistical plateau this upcoming season (so that could be a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd).

Cutler officially available
He had a damn good rookie WR, a stud WR in Brandon Marshall, a stud rookie LT in Ryan Clady out of Boise State, a bad running game, a pretty good TE, a crap defense, and a good head coach. He isn't a top 3 or 4. You can't look me into my eyes and tell me that when he had 25 TD's and 20 INT's last year. However, he has the potential to get there. Right now, my top 7 is Manning, Brady, Roethlisberger, Brees, McNabb, Warner, and Rivers right now.

Cutler officially available
If we plan on getting Shanahan, we may as well include Forte in the deal and make it Forte, Orton, and our 2nd for Cutler because Shanahan can make any RB into a 1000 yard rusher.

Pace Visits Bears
He'll go somewhere that offers him a chance to start for more money. Why would he come here where he'll ride the pine behind Williams?

I know...that statement was more out of anxiety just because I'm tired of hearing about this asswipe.

How about Matt "Moonshine" Jones?
Like someone said, I'd like the move but I doubt Angelo has even thought about this guy.

New Mock 3-29-09
Then why do you hate to say it?

New Mock 3-29-09
1. Eben Britton, RT, Arizona ---Shaffer? Great. He isn't the long term answer, though. 2. Paul Kruger, DE, Utah ---Good against the run and can get to the QB some, too. 3. Brandon Gibson, WR, Washington State ---It's been said the FO likes this guy. 3. David Bruton, FS, Notre Dame ---Smart player and big hitter to compete with Bullocks. 4. Asher Allen, CB, Georgia ---We need CB's after Bowman's been moved to S. 5. Marko Mitchell, WR, Nevada ---Big WR at 6'4, 213 who is a good blocker. 6. Tony Fiammetta, FB, Syracuse ---Arguably the best FB in the draft. 7. Mike Reilly, QB, Central Washington ---To compete with Hanie for the #2 job. 7. John Gill, DT, Northwestern ---DT depth.

Go WR x 2 in the Third?
Brandon Tate probably won't even be ready for the year after he tore his ACL and MCL last year, and Massaqoui has been inconsistent his whole college career.
-
Is anyone interest in trading our #1 for ?
When you and I argue, your best comeback is that I think we need a DT but you think that isn't even close to a top need for us. Now, you want to trade our 18th pick for Glenn Dorsey?
-
Kevin Shaffer
Correct. We played Atlanta in the previous year when it was like -5.
-
Go WR x 2 in the Third?
If we take Massaquoi or Tate in round 3, it'll be like the drafting of Wolfe all over again. These guys will be there when we pick in the 5th for crying out loud.

I hope we open the year in Cincy so we get to rip this guy to shreds.

Yeah, Reggie Bush was the same type of player in college, and it's flying in the NFL, so...

Go WR x 2 in the Third?
Massaquoi isn't a 3rd. He'll be lucky to go in the 5th. Our staff now believes in Bennett. We'll go with 1 WR in the the first 3 rounds and stop. If we did go with 2 in the 3rd, any of these combinations would work for me: Barden-Gibson Barden-Iglesias Barden-Murphy Barden-Derrick Williams Williams-Gibson Williams-Iglesias Williams-Murphy Murphy-Iglesias Murphy-Gibson Gibson-Williams Gibson-Iglesias Kevin Ogletree out of Virginia is a solid 4th round possession WR prospect, too.

I have no doubts about him because he wasn't just a WR there like past Florida WR's.

I'm starting to hop on the Harvin bandwagon. He isn't like Hester at all. He is a warrior out there with ridiculous speed. He loves to get it on reveres as well as on WR screens. He's f***ing clutch, too. If we went English, Nicks, Loadholt- I couldn't say I'd complain. But I doubt Loadholt is there in the 3rd.

You can DEFINITELY scratch one WR from the Bears' board
Well, after pick 4 up until pick 6 I can take a nap because he was put up on Cleveland's page.

Release Date For 09/10 NFL Schedule????

Cutler has been on Bears radar....

Release Date For 09/10 NFL Schedule????
Last year I believe it was April 10.

FA Tackle Signed
He was given a big pay day from the Browns for good play, but then he fell off. His pass blocking was terrible this past year and I don't like this for 3 years.

At some point as a Bears fan, you have to ask yourself- "Who f***ing cares?"
