  1. I went with Crabtree because the Rams need a WR just as desperately as a potential franchise OT. Crabtree immediately comes in there and sells jerseys and gets that city an exciting player. If Bulger and/or Jackson can stay healthy, Bulger-Jackson-Crabtree-Avery isn't a bad starting spot for a rebuilding of an offseason.
  2. If Angelo has any balls, he'd trade our 2nd and 3rd next year for Boldin, our 2nd for Chad Johnson, or our 2nd and 4th for Edwards...right now.
  3. Thanks for the constructive criticism guys. I'll have a new one up sometime mid-late next week.
  4. Yes. In the year after that, it's at the Cowboy's new stadium.
  5. If you ask me, we have a real shot to get back. No team in the conference got significantly better. The Saints have no defense, the Vikings have no QB, the Packers changed defenses, the Cowboys always struggle, the Giants are without Eli's main man now in Burress, McNabb could be unhappy since he still hasn't gotten a WR or a new contract, and the Panthers are overrated and could be without Peppers (could be traded) and Delhomme (too old and he isn't what he used to be). Last year, with a medicore QB, a bad OL, bad WR's, and a medicore D, we won 9 games. Now, we have a stud QB, which opens up huge holes for Forte. Olsen and Hester are going to be in heaven when they get out there now, and I think Bennett will have a very good year. I don't see how the defense can be much worse. Urlacher says he feels great and I'd love to hear how Harris is doing after an offseason with Sapp and Marinelli. I know our S's don't look like much, but I think Vasher's game at CB has to improve, right? I think Harrison will continue to grow into a good player. The 2 biggest questions: 1. The S's. 2. Bennett. If the S's are just solid, all they have to be is solid, and if Bennett has a solid year, I think we can get back to Miami.
  6. I love the Sox but getting Cutler has me drooling for the Bears @ Packers tomorrow.

  8. In March of 2007, he got a 6 year $89 million deal.
  9. Picking up Housh would look awfully good right now, no? But seriously, nobody can blame Angelo anymore. He went out this offseason and made THE biggest splash of all. Even if Cutler never gets us a ring or is a complete bust, everyone wanted this. There's no looking back now. Like someone said, now bigger FA's will want to come here.
  10. I'd be willing to bet they could trade their 12th and 18th to a team like Cleveland to nab Sanchez.
  11. 2. Juaquin Iglesias, WR, Oklahoma ---I love this guy. For some reason, I think he'd fit in well here. 3. Matt Shaughnessy, DE, Wisconsin ---A DE for Marinelli to toy with. 4. Sebastian Vollmer, OT, Houston ---Pace is old and often injured, and who knows about Williams. OT is still a ened. 5. Chip Vaughn, S, Wake Forest ---S depth to go with Earl, Bowman, Manning, Steltz, and Bullocks. 5. Coye Francies, CB, San Jose State ---Walterfootball and I agree- this guy has so much pure talent it's ridiculous. 6. Tony Fiammetta, FB, Syracuse ---Best FB in the draft, IMO. 7. Jeremy Childs, WR, Boise State ---WR depth. 7. John Gill, DT, Northwestern ---DT depth and the FO likes him. Thoughts?
  12. I'm going to guess that Cutler will be our QB for the rest of his career. Just saying..
  13. I think lost in all this is Matt Forte. He now has a real QB. Look I like Kyle and I wish him all the best in Denver. But Cutler's ypa is almost 8 while Orton's was almost 6. I know Cutler here won't have the weapons but Orton also won't go there and have a Matt Forte. Anyways, I think this opens it up even more for Forte. He now probably won't get as many touches through the air which should give him a rest a bit but a playaction will open it up big time for Cutler, and a draw will open it up big time for Forte. I just wanted everyone's thoughts on this.
  14. I love Iglesias, Williams, Britt, and Robiskie, but I doubt we go any of those 4 for the reasons that 2 of those won't be there and I doubt we take Iglesias or Williams. I don't like Massaqoui at all but supposedly we've put him through a private workout. Mind you, he is NOT a 2nd round pick but probably with our 3rd or even our 4th. I also like Barden but he's a 3rd round guy, not a 2nd.
  15. Cutler sounds like a relaxed guy off the field but a damn competitive and emotional dude on the field. I can't wait to see what he can do. Olsen and Hester are going to love him and Bennett and Cutler will feel like they're right back in the SEC again.
  16. With the 2nd pick, the St. Louis Rams select...Michael Crabtree, Texas Tech.
  17. Re-watch the Bears/Broncos game from 2007 and watch this guy throw. It'll be the first time since Rex we see a QB who can hit a guy going deep in stride.
  18. Urlacher's quote from the Tribune says that he's excited and he's heard Cutler is a good guy. McKie, Clark, and Manning were all on ESPN1000 earlier and all love the move, too.
  19. I'd give them our 2nd and 4th right now.
  20. Schlereth just said that the Bears lost both their OT's and that never makes a QB happy. What?! What a stupid thing to say. Had he went to the Jets, they'd be creaming their pants. Oh well.
  21. Best day in Bears history since we went Shuffling...
  22. If you think Cutler is the 2nd best QB in football, you're nuts. Sorry.
  23. Washington Post I don't want to start any rumors but it could be us if JA is unsure about getting Cutler. I'd love Campbell. He can dink and doink but has a laser. He hasn't been all that great in his career but in his 1st 3 years he's had 3 different coaches. That is tough.
