Give me Marko Mitchell (who measured in at 6'4 218 at the combine) instead of Knox and it's a solid draft.
-
I like Stinchcomb. As the RT for the Saints last year, he was part of the OL that only gave up 16 sacks. Keomatu (sp?) was a beast last year, too.
-
If the Bears took Wells or Moreno at 18, I'd literally throw my controller through my TV.
-
Murtha had a solid combine and was a RT at Nebraska. I'm not sure how that isn't suitable? At some point in time, we must start to develop young OL. And- in most offseasons, we've went in and spent most of our cap space, but that's usually on our own guys. With Idonije and St. Clair our only 2 FA's remaining, those 2 guys won't even make up double digits of our cap space.

Sign Michael Huff- 1 year, $3 million. Sign JP Losman- 2 years, $8 million. Bears trade 18th pick to NYJ for their 1st round pick next year, their 2nd this year, and their 5th this year. Buh-bye to: Tait, Hillenmeyer, McKie, and Miller. Re-sign Idonije (3 years, 10 million) and St. Clair (3 years, 14 million). 2. Jarius Byrd, CB, Oregon 2. Laurence Sidbury, DE, Richmond 3. Juaquin Iglesias, WR, Oklahoma 3. Jason Williams, OLB, Western Illinois 4. Lydon Murtha, OT, Nebraska 5. Louis Vazquez, OG, Texas Tech 5. Chris Baker, DT, Hampton 6. Tony Fiammetta, FB, Syracuse 7. Kory Sheets, RB, Purdue 7. Andrew Means, WR, Indiana UDFA: Louis West, OL, Henderson State Jon Cooper, C, Oklahoma Cole Popovich, OG, Fresno State Anthony Scirrotto, S, Penn State Orton Losman Hanie Forte Sheets Wolfe Fiammetta Hester Iglesias Bennett Davis Means Olsen Clark Williams St. Clair West? St. Clair Murtha West (PS?) Beekman Vazquez Garza Popovich (PS?) West (PS?) Kreutz Beekman Ogunleye Brown Sidbury Idonije Harris Harrison Idonije Adams Baker Dvoracek (cut?) Urlacher Briggs J. Williams Roach Tillman Vasher (cut?) Byrd Bowman Graham Hamilton McBride (let walk?) Manning Payne Huff Steltz Scirrotto (PS)? McGowan (cut?) Worrell (who knows?)

We believe in Manning too much. We'll only bring in a Michael Huff type guy or a late round pick.

DABEARSDABOMB Not to be a smartass, but it's Robiskie.
-
NFO, you're mixing Otah with Oher.
-
I'd definitley give it a shot. Last year, I was watching Jets/Dolphins before I left for Colts/Bears and I noticed a repeated #65 making huge holes left and right. I just noticed now, looking up info on Moore, that that was him.
-
Otah? He was a damn good rookie last year for Carolina- how do you all suspect we get him?
-
He played pretty well against some of the pass rushers in the NFL last year (Allen, Peppers, Abraham, Kampman, Freeney), and we're ridiculously small at the OL position. He's versatile, like you said, too. Sure, it might be overpaying a bit, but we need to sign this guy or else we'll be going into next year with CW and a rookie at LT, and 2 rookies at RT.
-
But they do love speed DB, and he certainly does have that. I heard that some reporter asked Lovie if there was a football player and a speed player on the board which would you go for, and he said speed.
-
I'd love it but there's no way, especially since Lewis will cost 9-10 per year and moving Urlacher back to S could put what very little years he has ahead of him into nothing at all. His speed wasn't what it used to be.
-
3 years, $15-18 million? That sounds about right. I never thought I'd get to say this, but- I really hope he stays here, especially with the injury questions CW has and the retirement of Tait.
-
Sanchez has everything Stafford has minus the humongous arm. Sanchez has a good arm, but not one like Stafford's. Stafford was inconsistent at Georgia while for 1 year, Sanchez was great at USC.
-
Barnes was tied for 24th among LT's giving up 7.5 sacks.
-
Last year, we won 9 games with bad QB play for the 2nd half of the year, the worst WR corps I've ever seen, a rookie RB, a medicore OL, and a bad pass rush. If we can improve our OL, get Orton back to the way he played the 1st half, and have Hester continue to improve + another solid WR, we'll easily win 11 games next year, especially since our schedule looks very easy on paper.
-
I wanted Walker here last year for $4 per, and Oakland gave him almost $10 per. That's a f***ing joke. Until Undead Al kicks the bucket, they'll continue to win 5 games at the most. I'm still not sold on Russell, nor their OL, WR corps, or secondary.
-
Suit yourself. Obviously, I'm not a big fan. But Angelo does like the cheap but solid-at-best FA's who can come in, contribute, and not cost too much. I wouldn't mind Barnes, but right now, I'd take Ray Willis, formerly of the Seahawks, to play RT for us. He played 10 games last year off the bench and only gave up 1.5 sacks at RT for Seattle, and just like Barnes, he'd probably only cost $4-5 per year.
-
IMO, Laurainitis is overrated. He's surrounded by tons of talent, he isn't a great blitzer, he isn't that physical, he doesn't shed blocks well, and he isn't overly powerful or fast. Maualuga > Laurainitis

This is a weak RT draft. Today while watching the combine, guys like Oher didn't look too good and neither did Fenuki Tupou from Oregon or Phil Loadholt who many around here love. His feet are too slow and it's sickening. I was heavily impressed by Jamon Meredith from South Carolina who many believe will be a RT in the NFL. He looked very athletic with great foot work.
-
Smith came to the combine and openly admitted he was an idiot for coming out of shape. There's no way Crabtree falls to us. Even if he starts to fall, teams like San Francisco, Washington, and the Jets will be all over him.
-
Khalif Barnes was f***ing terrible last year for the Jags and racked up plenty of false starts. Sure, that is due to a lack of concentration but then why would it change here?
-
I like the idea of adding Jon Stinchcomb, formerly of the Saints. Played all year last year for the Saints at RT, and the OL as a whole only gave up 16 sacks all season.
-
Agreed with the last poster. He's always been with a great QB in a dome. To come here in the cold with a medicore offense, I don't know what he'd do for us here.
