  1. Derek Anderson is a terrible QB. Our options are much better than signing him.
  2. It's a good thing the Saints are horrible at anything short yardage, because otherwise we could be in trouble with all these bullshit penalties.
  3. I don't think that quick slant has gotten past the line of scrimmage yet.
  4. Have you ever heard him talk? He's pretty stupid in general too, not just about football
  5. I'm shocked they didn't call that, that's kind of bullshit.
  6. Kyle Orton to Mark Bradley. How many of us thought we'd see that combo sometime this year?
  7. I'm glad to see the Bears come out firing.
  8. At least he's looking G-Reg's way.
  9. Urlacher read that route perfectly right off the snap.
  10. Pfft, it's warm if its 35, regardless of the wind coming off the lake. I suppose this is the mentality I get for going to school in Minnesota, but it's still true
  11. ^ No mercy in this game, it's important to get as much momentum as possible going into next year, and really, freak the Saints.
  12. It would be foolish to play Vasher at this point anyway, it's probably best that he sits out.
  13. Exactly. He's still an excellent talent and had a hell of a season this year, but just as I would with any first year back, I'm waiting before naming him a top NFL back. Look at what happened with Reggie Bush this year (and yes, I do know that Peterson had a much better year this year than Bush did last year). He finally started running the ball well in the second half of last year, and people starting praising him as the new messiah. Today, anyone who makes that claim needs to get their sanity checked.
  14. Sorry, yeah, that's very true. I mainly said the one site because of the URL, but you're definitely right, my mistake. It's nice having the new blood around here too, and new posts every day.

  16. Yeah, without a doubt. Especially given the origins of this website, bashing people for being Sox fans isn't the smartest move (hell, there are probably a lot more Sox fans than Cub fans here anyway...)

    Pro Bowl Snubs

Exactly. And while for Urlacher missing the Pro Bowl might not be a big deal to him, Fred Taylor has never been to the Pro Bowl. Yeah, it looks like he'll get in now because of the injury to Willie Parker, but he should have been voted in in the first place.

    Pro Bowl Snubs

I don't disagree with you, but it's still an honor to get elected no matter how long you've been in the league. Sure, he'd rather be in the playoffs, but any good NFL player would rather be in the playoffs than to earn a personal honor (or at least, they'd say that to the public, even if they thought otherwise behind closed doors).
  19. Every defense is better when it forces turnovers, I don't think that this time is anything special in this instance. Definitely, but our WR corp is going to be pretty shot next year if we lose both Berrian and Moose. I don't believe in Hester as a WR, and without a true number one WR, we could have issues. However, if G-Reg develops as expected, he could lessen that loss. This is probably a side effect of having Orton start, and its probably a positive. At it's roots, this team wins on ball control and defense. When Orton starts, it seems like they feel more pressured to run the ball more, which controls more of the clock, etc. etc. I just wish they'd do this when Grossman was under center, because it would then utilize his ability to throw the deep ball when the defense isn't expecting it, making it even more dangerous. He's doing a good job not losing the games, but I still think that Grossman is a better option just based off of his throwing ability. Orton is nice because he understands his job, which is to not turn the ball over, but I don't think he's capable of being the same type of threat that Grossman is. (I'm sure that people won't like my thoughts on this point, but whatever) One game isn't enough to convince me of that. Any team that misses the playoffs can say that as long as they had one good game during the year, and it just sounds weak to me. Not going to comment on the rest because I didn't get to actually watch the game, so I can't actually say what I thought about McGowan or Williams. It would be nice if they could both step up, especially Williams with the Briggs situation. I can't say I'm too optimistic about McGowan though.
  20. There's no doubt about that. He's a great talent, but he's not better than some of the established backs in the league, which is what nearly every analyst seems to think this year. Give him time, he could become one of the best backs in the league. But it takes more than one year to earn that honor, especially when your offensive line is one of the best money can buy.

He wouldn't go, no, but it's still an honor to be named to the team, which I think Urlacher definitely deserved.
  22. I hope so. I already hate New Orleans, so if they were to be considered a rival, it'd justify my despise for them even more.
  23. I was being sarcastic. Sorry, thought it was obvious considering your well known track record on Sexy Rexy.
  24. Fantastic idea. I'm sad I didn't think of that myself!
