  1. Helps eliminate dumb timeouts and dumber delay of game penalties!

  3. No problem with that. ...and with all that said, just becasue he says that now, doesn't mean he won't revisit it if he feels it's warranted. He's just trying to push the issue to the side so no one brings it up again. Media or player.
  4. Well said. I was a little skeptical at first, and still am...but your logic makes sense. It's possible we just may have lucked into a good guy with perfect timing on his career path.

  7. 1. PFT like to basht he Bears. So any article putting the team in a bad light will be done so by Florio. 2. Probably joking with some truth behind it. I'm sure he's rather have been around when the Bears win their next one. I'm sure he'd be thrilled for his buddies. 3. If he's not joking, it wouldn't surprise me either. He's been known to be a little surly, and didn't like how he was let go. I personally don't really care all that much. My preference is that he'd just man up and say he wishes he could still be there, but a championship for the city regardless who's playing is what he'd like to see. But, he's not that kind of guy. I know this, so I don't expect it. I still like him as a player. #54 in uniform. Out of uniform, he's not of interest really. No charisma and a little too negative. Time could help that... But not the charisma thing.
  8. Seems fine to me. I'd poll your owners...see if they want more or less.
  9. To me, Jeffrey won't and shouldn't be a "surprise". I expect him to be better. If I were to hope and go out on a limb as to a true surprise, I will go with S Brandon Hardin. He was injured last year, he's off the radar, and he could surprise. Who knows?
  10. If they only were more like Walter... Emulate the best.
  11. Only a tell tale sign that there's sadly nothing to talk about. Yet!
  12. I saw it too. I don't put much into those kinds of lists. Overall, the numbers seem fine to me. Forte didn't do well last year. Odds are RB's diminish their skills with time. So having that far back seems fine to me. Briggs being so low is a disappointment if you play the "top 100" game. I would have him listed higher...but maybe the age/regine change issue is enough to see him drop. Melton, while having ton of promise, hasn't really been consistent enough. I'm just happy to see him on th list. Take PFT's Bears' rankings with a grain fo salt. They notoriously dislike the Bears and poo poo them whenever they get a chance. So, I don't think anyone will get a fair shake. That all being said, I see Peppy, Peanut, Jay, and Marshall (he'll have the best score of any Bear) making the list somewhere.
  13. I can only vouch for the jeseys I've picked up...and all are legends or soon to be legends. The only one that isn't is Anthony Thomas, and I still have a warm spot in my heart for the A-Train. There have been some real jackasses on the Bears, but thankfully no murderes! (we hope!)... McNown was an a-hole. Mirer, nice guy, but sucked. Benson, total bust. As with Salaam. As with Enis. Tank had a gun problem. We had the Dallas cokedealer. Can't remember his name. But he was not a "star" or potential. Overall, I have to give it to McNown. A-hole bust.
  14. Not letting it slide is simple youthful immaturity. I used to do that. It only resulted in getting on blood pressure medication. I suggest letting it go.
  15. Again, if you just walk away from it, it's not a problem. I'm 43 years old...so I've found over my years that letting some things go is the best way. I love bowlingtwig's contributions. I love yours. You just need to let it pass... Just friendly advice from an older guy... I wouldn't know anything about soxtalk... I'm not a baseball guy. This may only have 10-15 harcore posters. But damn if I don't like every one of them. I love this site. My advice, enjoy a nice Scotch and wait for some real news to banter about (now that hoops and ice are done, NFL will start with some real news). I recommend Lagavullin 16 year for Scotch.
  16. If you're not digging a comment, just ignore it. If you quit fanning the flame, the fire goes out... When you reach a wall. Banging your head against it only hurts your head more and the wall still stays intact.
  17. Interesting... I put no real stock into it at the moment.
  18. Ha! Those numbers are certianly in the realm of possible. Here's hoping!
