  1. I want the WR...but am more than OK with Mario.
  2. Seriously. I can't help turning into a meatball and start frothing at the mouth over D...
  3. I would imagine you're probably right. However, the big question may be does TB literally have the money and willingness to spend? Also, I imagine the bears deal will be a large sum, so there still could be a some combo of "better place to win it all" + "money" that favors the Bears.
  4. With all that said, we're the only team w/ a legit QB and other solid areas in place... If it's money, TB has the upperhand. All else should avail him to the Bears.
  5. Hopefully grey matter is a prerequisite for the next guy...
  6. Here's my thoughts... 1. Mario is the sure bet. proven, young, and will have an impact. 2. Colston is next. We are desperate for a WR. Colston catches just about everything thrown to him. He's not that old, and can help groom some younger guys. Injury and age are a concern. 3. Jackson is 3rd. His production isn't consistent. However, I think besides Mario, he has the biggest potential upside. Given the bidding war for him, he slides below Colston. He also has injury and age concerns as Colston. 4. Nicks is last. I love me some Nicks, but he's going to generate a huge salary for a position we aren't in dire need for. I'd love him in addition...but he's going to demand too much loot. If he were a LT, I'd have him right up w/ Mario. I simply think Mario is the bird in hand. virtually no downside at all...
  7. Agreed. I don't think we'll do much sadly... But, I'm preparing for the worst, hoping for the best.

  9. Not sure how I feel. But if the contract were small, I wouldn't mind considering him.
  10. W/o having inside info, I'd say your assessment is spot on.
  11. I'm thinking Miami. They need a splash, and their team isn't horrid w/ Marshall and Bush. It's a sunny city, he has some roots, and he gets to go at Tom Brady 2 times a year. If you follow the money though, it would appear Washington...
  12. I agree w/ Striner on Wooton. And hell, the guy the bounces Favre deserves one last chance! I see Sanz staying for now. No Knox means we need to have something in the mix. FA could thwart that, but as of right now, they need to keep Sanz. Depending on Bowman, I could see Bowman staying if he wants and doesn't fins a home as a CD elsewhere.
  13. Thanks for sharing! If 1-2 go down for us, I'll be freakin' thrilled!
  14. Agreed. Both our failure and his success combined would be the instance where I see it as a failure.
  15. Gotcha. I caught your comments on the other thread and agree. It's all relative. If we don't make a splash, then I'm ok with prodding into the kiddie pool to see if we can turn coal into a diamond. But, given our situation, given what's out there, and given our cap space. We need to be swimming in the Olympic pool. I have zero problem with after getting the #1 guy, that we take some chances in the small pool and hope we can strike gold.
