  1. Here's what my friend just e-mailed me on Hayes... "I liked Hayes a lot. He's fast and hits hard. Better in coverage than the run. A big part of his problem was being out of position. But he never really had a mentor, or good linebacker coach to teach him, he was kinda thrown into the Derrick brooks role without any experience, or having Derrick to teach him." I think that bodes well for what we need...
  2. Sounds good. I'm checking in w/ a couple friends I know that are TB fans...I try not to hold that against them.
  3. I'm contemplating AZ depending on how Christmas fall for my family. I'm staying far away from SF. The only actual conflict I've ever had watching games was with jackass SF fans... Poor losers and even poorer winners...
  4. I'm contemplating the AZ game... I'm not sure how it'll play out since it's so close to Christmas. But it's on my radar. I'm itchin' to try the famous casa bianca (is that the right name?) pizza place...
  5. I'm travelling to Memphis and Nashville this summer (bad weather, but it's when my wife is off as she's a teacher).... We're heading through both those cities before we get to Louisville and do the Bourbon trail... Are there any eateries you'd recommend? Or sites (besides Graceland, Sun, Stax. Opry)? Any info would be greatly appreciated!
  6. No worries. We will win those this season. Just because.
  7. Move over Bob Griese and Duck Butkus.... Best: 1. Bears - best ever, c'mon! 2. Raiders - yup...great looking, otherwise gangsters never would have taken to it! 3. Saints - the gold and black scheme works almost as well as silver and black... Worst: 1. Packers - reminds me of incest and puke 2. Seahawks - I'm right in step with you jason...those new ones are horrible! Day-glo gone wild. George Michael couldn't even pull off wearing that in the Wham years in 1986 under his "Choose Life" shirt. 3. Bengals - sorry, tiger stripes and all that business? Really? At least the creamsicle Bucs' one was kind of oddly interesting.
  8. lemonej, Please keep up your solid draft work! I learn more from you on drafts past, present and future than anywhere else!
  9. If you can't eat your cake, why want it? - I just think it's a solid depth move.
  10. Thanks for the post and the comment info...
  11. I'm getting the same... Could be simple depth.
  12. What my SF friend says about him: He's very inconsistent. Sometimes he's very dominate other times he's a turn style. ******************* I trust his opinion. he doesn't sugarcoat or make things worse than they are. It sounds like a depth move that is batter than Omifail.
  13. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/...bears/#comments 5 Responses to “Chilo Rachal signs with Bears” trollhammer20 says: Apr 18, 2012 12:06 PM Wow, last year, Chris Spencer, this year, Chico Rachal. I guess the Bears can’t sign enough bad former NFC West offensive linemen. 0 1 bigbrad184 says: Apr 18, 2012 12:08 PM You really learn to appreciate how important the “team” aspect of football is because when Rachal is in the game everything just falls apart. It’s amazing how bad things can go when just one guy can’t do their job at anything close to a satisfactory level. That old saying about needing all 11 guys on the same page to have a good play is absolutely true and Rachal is rarely on the same page. 0 0 tangeuray says: Apr 18, 2012 12:09 PM Now I really feel bad for Cutler. Chilo is a turnstile in the passing game. 0 1 everydayimfumbilin says: Apr 18, 2012 12:14 PM worst ‘professional’ lineman I’ve ever seen. 0 1 nineroutsider says: Apr 18, 2012 12:18 PM Thank god he is gone; he was awful! He might win the job in summer, but by week 3 he will be on the bench. He can’t pass block to save his life! 0 1
  14. Yeah, for those rounds and maybe even the 5th, I think the risk is well worth the potential return.
  15. Does anyone know how good/bad Rachal is?
  16. Interesting. Based on your analysis, I think I agree. Tack in the mindset of Smith, and guys like Url, Briggs, & Peppers...and it may be a good enough environment to give the young man a little kick in the ass...

  18. I pretty much agree. It should be one of the lines... There's a case to a Floyd falling that would be acceptable, but for the most part, if it's not OL or DL...I'd be surprised/disappointed.
  19. Thanks for setting it up Pix. I'm in... And I will do horribly!
  20. Of course, but I gotta reach for something!
  21. I like it too... Depth. Also read he is a Chicago native and went to school at Illinois.
