  1. Have a great time! It's the most wonderful place on earth! You'll be in a sea of like minded fans...it's a vibe that is simply awesome! Enjoy! Bring a win for us all!
  2. Don't get me wrong! On paper right now, we should have this. But, I just fear the trap. If we can get to Rivers, stop Mathews, and run well enough we will do well. Smith has earned kudos for having our guys ready to play these past few weeks. here's hoping the trend continues indefinitley this season!
  3. Agreed. It seems like he's really making a point this season to trim the fat. yet, there's this enormous cancerous growth named Omifail that is still on the roster. It's a bit boggling. Even as a desperation move, I'd rather see Spaeth or Davis lined up on the OL in place of Rank.
  4. We see Omiyale and we may as well make reservations for Cutler at Northwestern Memorial Hospital...
  5. I agree. With Williams out, I kind of was hoping he'd come back. But I think it's best to shelf him and have him rockin' for next season.
  6. I actually heard the opposite...that it could hang his season up. Then right after, there was news that it could only be the 2-4 weeks... Not sure where I first heard the long term bit, but I was pleasantly surprised when I heard the 2-4...hence why I'm not surprised to hear today's news.
  7. All else being equal I'd love to have the guy. OL and Wr are still the priorities...but strengthening the D line or LB corps is not a bad move.
  8. I get the trap game theory. We've won 4 in a row. They've lost 4 in a row. Law of averages says both streaks should end. And as bad as the Chargers have been playing, they still can light it up as they did against Green Bay. it took Aaron Rodgers heroics to win it. I have a feeling it'll end up being a duel between the 2. Jay needs to step up and win this one for us I think. Just a gut feeling...
  9. No surprise, but ouch. I was kind of hoping he'd get back for the last couple games of the season.
  10. Sorry...I didn't read this part of the thread!
  11. Good points... Damn do I hate Gregg,,,,
  12. I really wish we'd just release Omiyale. Any possibility of his butt playing puts us behind the 8 ball.
  13. I just contend that he/we aren't good at it. Let's stick to what we're good at.
  14. No trick plays! I'd be more OK with it, if one over the past 4 years actually worked. We try every time, and the results very from no gain to loss. We are just not good at being tricky except with Special Teams.... I give Toub the greenlight to be tricky...but that's it!
  15. Overall, I didn't have much issue with Martz last night. Thankfully, epic offensive playcalling wasn't needed in this particular contest. The 2 big issues I had with martz yesterday was the silly gimmick Forte throw. (why must we always perform one of these horrid circus acts every week?) And the lack of running with Clutts as a FB. This one, I'm harping on pretty much every week. We seem to have far more success running when we have a FB. We had more than a few plays stopped in the backfield when there was no FB. I don't mind Martz passing...I just don't want zero protect and see Cutler get killed. I just want results...whether it's running or passing.
  16. He's making a good case for himself these weeks!
  17. He very well could be. I have a hard time thinking of someone decisively better...
  18. Right there with you on Smith. I've never been that impressed other than his longevity. I don't begrudge him HoF honors, I just think he's toward the bottom of the list...
  19. Maybe we can get the Vikings to trade their entire draft for Matt Forte? Too many needs as starters, depth, or grooming! OL WR CB LB S DE DT TE ...almost everything but QB!
  20. I think your question is your answer. He got in with such a limited resume because he was so damn good. Those teams he played on were some of the worst ever for the Bears. He and Butkus were cursed to play with garbage around them. Your thinking that his production doesn't warrant inclusion appears to be biased in longevity. Stats don't tell the whole story. This guy was voted in by his peers. Not off a computer program. Both types of players do make it in. For instance, I never thought highly of Emmitt Smith. But because of his longevity, he's in. Your focus on numbers alone is not the sole reason for inclusion. Please read...
  21. From what I've seen, I can't argue! I grew up on Payton, so my heart lies there. His recent public statements leave a bit to be desired. But like most football players...they are best letting their actions speak for themselves.
  22. Yup. I'm certain lemonej will have much more to add... My dad still says he's the best RB the Bears ever had.
