A guy at my office just said he overhead on the radio (this in LA mind you...) that this game is being thought of in similar fashion for the Lions as the 1st game back from Katrina was for the Saints. He said he wanted to puke. (This guy's a Ravens fan BTW). Katrina and NO is one thing, but this is something else. The hype is in full force. Bear down!

There's somuch room for debate... On one side, who have they beaten? Tampa? Outside shot playoff contender last season...look to be stuggling this season. KC? They are bad. Minny? They have been bad and are bad. If not for an epic collapse, they may have just beaten DET. Dallas? same as Minny. Now, much of their come-back prowess has to be given credit. They did it. Good teams find ways to win. Bad ones, ways to lose. So, they must be given credit. Then again, who have we beaten? CAR ATL. Car was better than expected, and ATL not so much. We lost handily to 2 of the best teams in the league right now. And both, coming off year to year SB wins. But, we weren't really that competitive in those 2 games. This is a true test. How bad do we want it? I know I want it! The Bears are ready to make a statment! ...I just hope it's a statement in our favor!

I assume you're only referring to Hester in terms of a WR...or facsimile thereof.

I'd take Colston or Bowe in a heartbeat. Not sure about Garcon quite yet...but compared to what we have...sure! Any of those OL would be an upgrade!

Living in LA, I know quite a few. It's bittersweet for them for the most part. Sad the man that brought the mystique and maverick attitude is gone, but all agree he needed to get out of the way the last decade...so they eagerly await to see how it goes now.

What about Fred Durst!

The chicken has salmonella and the eggs are rotten. Both need to be tossed out with the garbage and we need to go grocery shopping at a better market with a better buyer. Can Theo Epstean GM the Bears as well? There's a reason Martz was on TV vs. coaching...and there's a reason why so many of our OL were drafted so low... Fail on both.

For years now... I think Brian Griese was a perfect example of a mediocre QB that ate us up knowing exactly how to beat us. I can't recall the year, but it wasn't that long ago.
