  1. Yep, that's what I've read as well. No doubt. I'm happy to give him a chance too. He certainly has far more up-side than Ron Turner, et al ever did. The guy won a SB as on O coordinator. Granted, with a stacked deck...but he still devised that O. I apologize, but I'm not sure what you mean in your last sentence...
  2. Good points... And let's not forget how long it took us to finally take him...
  3. I personally think the distrust in Martz is valid. What has he done for us? Until he actually does something better than Turner during real games, everyone supporting the navy and burnt orange has reason to distrust him. I think he has potential, and serious upside, but I do see some potential pitfalls... 1. He had obvious success in STL...helps when you have HoF'ers and serious probowlers on offense 2. He had succes with Kitna in Detroit, but not so much in SF. Friends that are SF fans say that he was trying to fit square pegs in round holes...which sounds eerily similar to many a coaching mistake lead by our current regime. 3. Our O line is crap. So anything he tries could be de-fused by an aggressive pass rush, thus negating everything but a dump off. 4. He was brought in by Smith and Angelo. I do not trust them, so by default, another "pal/chum/buddy" has me worried. How, with all that said, I do thinkg Martz will be an aimprovement, and that we will see the fruits of that labor midseason on. However, the start will be tough and ugly. However, it may all be for nothing as we may finish with a por enough record to oust everyone inovled and start anew with another staff.
  4. True. The DB is a position that Angelo cnnot draft, Smith cannot coach or develop. Only Manning is person that has had success, and that is as a returner. Natural skill, not anything coachable.
  5. They do...look how long we stuck with Grossman to name one. This team has no brain.
  6. It's Smith and his lackeys on the D side... Dolts.
  7. Man, that's some potent kool-aid you got there... Talent is there. Savvy is not. All these guys have played the position long enough other than Knox, and none looked very good. Even our latest hero, Aromoshodu had had a rap that he doesn't practice. We have a skilled bunch, but completely unsavvy and not field smart. The antithesis of Waddle.
  8. You wouldn;t consider it for a 7th? O line is the huge problem. Secondary the next. WR third. I'd rather adress one of the issues than none. Having a pro veteran WR that will know where to be when Cutler heaves it dodging the onslought from a D could be a huge help...
  9. Sad to see Shaw go. He was a ST stud... We missed Ayanbedejo, we'll probably miss Shaw.
  10. The Smith love-fest on Alfalfa seems to be over. This time last year, he was the best guy since ROnnie Lott to the Smith brain trust...
  11. I hope so! I just felt like I could land most of the other guys on my roster in the draft barring the top 2. But I didn't feel the value for losing a 1st.
  12. The Mad Lithuanians will keep Megatron. Calvin Johnson picked by Brass Cajones in the 3rd...thus giving up a 2nd. Thanks.
  13. Agreed. But, maybe Cutler desperately needs a pro WR? For the right price, I'd consider it.
  14. Thanks! I'm in an got confused by the amounts owed... I'll pay the $25.
  15. Good question... Also, when do we all have to submit the keeper player(s)? Did we just vote on keeping one or two? I imagine draft order should be determined first... AR
  16. Anything ridding us of Cancer Smith is money well spent/saved! My heart still tugs for BU...but the emptiness of losing BU would easily be filled with the overwhelming gushing of joy with seeing Smith finally gone!
  17. Sorry guys...I'm sure I've asked a few times...But I've had 2 vacations in August that really threw me off... 1. Please let me know who/how/what etc I should pay 2. How are we settling the keeper kept? Is this during the draft? Before? Can I see a list of everyone's players they have an option to keep? Is it set up on the site? Thanks!
  18. We played up more often...and they still continued to pick up 3rd downs like free 20 spots on the street. Our 3rd down conversion % is abysmal. On both sides. We give it up, and can't get it.
  19. Can't help but to chime in... You are spot on, again!
