  1. Sold. I think he should be fired as season's end. I knew it right after the GB game. I definitely knew it after NE...
  2. Thanks for the old days Lance. The newer ones were not good.
  3. You're too lenient! Tucker's gotta go. It's not like he was a defensive wonderchild before coming here. There is nothing to him that screams chanmpionship caliber. At leasst one could argue that with Trestman.
  4. Don't care. This team has no heart. Team. There are a small handful of guys that do...but as a team, this team has zero heart and soul. Until Cutler and Trestman are replaced with honestly viable alternatives...we are in for tough times.
  5. You won't have any choice... They will lose out barring the Minny game. I accept things as they are. We are not a good team. Very top, to very bottom. Matt Forte is really the only Bear player that can hold his head high and can proudly state he is a Chicago Bear. There are a few others that are close...Jeffery, ...damn now I can't think of any others. I'm worried about Fuller. Good attitude...lot's of screw ups. More now than in earlier games. This coaching staff is not doing him favors.
  6. ACKKK!!! Your avatar is disturbing!
  7. Your takeaway is quite similar to mine. It's sad, but I fear true.
  8. You are not wrong to have the attitude you mention. It's perfectly understandable. I asked myself yesterday, when is a win really a loss? Seems like that was the case these last 2 weeks. This Thursday game will be telling. Detroit is doing their annual downward spirial, but they are the best team we'll have faced in the last 3 games. It's at their home. A win for us there would be a real win.
  9. The boycott is still on. I will keep wearing black. (we are 2-0 since I started...)
  10. Damn...looks like this is playing out...
  11. This is our first real challenge since the GB and NE debacles. It'll be interesting to see how we play. Sadly, I see a yet another big loss on national TV...
  12. Agreed. Draft a QB to groom. And draft hard on D and solve that train wreck. We can stomach Cutler one more season as we wait for the new kid to develop.
  13. Um. Urlacher and Briggs were under Jauron's watch... Hatley was GM from '97-00 and drafted Holdman, Colvin and Azumah in '99. Then Urlacher and Mike Brown in 2000. Jauron and Blache coached those guys along with big Ted and Keith Traylor from '99-'03. Angelo came in in '01-'11, and drafted Alex Brown in '02, Brigg & Tillman in '03, and Tommie Harris in '04. Urlacher was already a huge success before Smith ever got a hold of him. In fact, many people have stated that the scheme run by Blache was better suited for Url. I personally believe Url would thrive anywhere under any system. But it wasn't all Smith... Others had a hand in it. And I refute that those players did well due to Smith. He didn't hurt, but the players were kickass regardless of who coached them. ********* Regarding the current make-up...just remember that Angelo tied Emery's hands. A decade of bad picks and no depth really makes the job tough. Not saying, I like Emery...but that he is paying for the sins of the father. Cutler is just a fail regardless... And yeah, at this point, I'd rather have had McCown. Emery's fate is tied with Tresty and Cutty. He best invest well...'cause his good thing is about to end. At least in a year or 2.
  14. That is pretty damning. Cutler is the loose cannon it appears.
  15. Exactly. Last week was fools gold. This week is too. The only telling bit would be if we were to lose in dynamic fashion. Winning by 10 is basically what a mediocre team at home is supposed to do to a bad team.
  16. Smith > Trestman, but still not good enough to win it all. We need better than either of those 2 men.
  17. I htink the only possibility would be if Virgie and the boys brought him in to consult to find the guy to be "that guy".
  18. I think the radar guys are the same clowns looking after the clocks at Soldier...
  19. When is a win a loss? It is still a win... But, we should have destroyed Minny as bad as they were playing. Had the play clock at Soldier been correct and Teddy would have bene a bit more relaxed, maybe Minny could have tied it up with one long pass. I didn't see anything yesterday that changes my mind drastically. I still was all the coaches gone. I still would try to move Cutler. Etc. I think the only positive takeaway is that Allen might be a healthy contributor now. It won't help much this year, but he might be worth holding onto for one more year. I felt most good about Forte (as usual). I felt good about Marshall. He still can be an idiot off the field, but on, he has shown up. That I think will happen is we simply get a new DC and ST coach. The rest stays the course one more year.
