  1. I've heard on the Score that Trestman is gone. No real source, but they are saying it. There's something to that I think. I think we all only have some differing opinions on Emery...but I'm not sure anyone would be that sad with him gone. Especially if a real football mind were in place.
  2. Tucker is bad. This isn't AYSO, we don't give out best effort trophies. He's in over his head. Sorry to be so harsh, but he's not good. Emery has made some hits. But, I'm not sure other GM's could have done similar. he's made some huge mistakes. I want him gone. I don't trust he knows how to hire.
  3. Seeing Orton ding them made me happy! I basically root for Bears, then against GB, then for teams that have yet to win a SB. Part of the reason I want the Cardinals at this point. But the rooting is just to keep me interested now that fantasy is over. Our season was over months ago!
  4. I blame everyone not trying. You are paid a boatload. You think Walter jaked it when he played on crap teams? Shame on you Matt Forte!!!
  5. I need to root for someone to knock out GB...
  6. One can hope the minimum is the entire coaching staff is out. However, I want a larger cleaning. Emery should go too.
  7. It really does. It's really Luck barring a few instances... Peyton Manning & Andrew Luck are the only ones I can think that were slam dunks...
  8. In general...this is a prime case of careful what you ask for you might get it. At some point most Bears fans wanted a real QB. Now we're asking for managers again. However, I present that we never got a real QB. We got a passer. I'm still waiting...
  9. TO you points... 1. I completely agree. Emery was hired to correct wrongs. Let's be honest, any new GM doesn't usually get a suped-up hot-rod. They are hired because the guy before F'ed up. SO, part of Emery's job is to deal with it. Some elements he did well, others no. 2. Agreed. But their lack of depth is showing why they only have one ring with Erin. And it's tough. Otherwise, Peyton would have a dozen and Brady even more... The planets need to align. At least those clubs are always int he dance. 3. Not sure about this...I just don't trust ayone from our team or management. Have they earned our trust? 4. Briggs not only didn't buy in, he was not professional. He should have been cut the moment it was found out he opened the BBQ place. 5. I think Cliff Stein could make the $15M hurt less than one would imagine...
  10. I believe I am good. Please let me know if otherwise.
  11. I'm not so much on board as I am relegated to the fact. I like some consistency, etc. But not consistent mediocrity! I think we all know how this story will end. I prefer to get to the end and skip the last 1/3 of the book since we know the ending will suck. The longer we drag this out, the more potential of what happened with Jauron and Smith will happen again. One winning season with dumb luck extends everything and we do the deja vu Wayne Fontes thing again. Overall, I am more lenient towards Emery than Trestman. Trestman does not appear to be a leader of men. Emery had his hands tied behind his back with dictation from the McCaskeys and lousy drafts by Angelo. Yeah, he botched Shea. He should have tagged Cutty. And he should have hired a better coach. But, all that, and he's made some very good moves. I have far less fear moving forward with Emery than I do Trestman.
  12. The interesting part of this is the tie in with Harbaugh. Do we really want him? He sure looked great with Luck... But I think I could look like a great coach with Luck.
  13. TEAR IT DOWN TOP TO BOTTOM! It won't happen, but that's what I want... Kind of like most things in life! I just hope the Rolling Stones are prophetic...you can't always get what you want, but sometimes, you get what you need.
  14. Agreed. If the QB's areb't in the draft, so be it. We've got him for one more year, then can release him w/o much penalty. And can drop Trestman and Emery too. This is how it probably will play out. A lame duck year. Yet again.
  15. Tomlin is Sifert version 2. Good, not great and ran off the coattails of a great coach. Plus, given that he's won a super bowl is not a good thing. No HC has done it twice ever. It's not a good batting average.
