  1. Thankfully we have a bye week next week and can give our secondary a chance to get healthy. It was a great game! We were so thin at the CB position I am amazed we came up with three INTs and kept this game in the win column.

Fantastic! Congratulations! I know it has been asked before but I do not remember reading an answer, what did you name your son? Best wishes to you and your family!

And what is your third option? LOL - Tough Matchups. I would probably roll the dice with Anderson. I know he has only had one good game (against NYG) but would you want to be the next QB to go up against a pissed off NYG defense? I would take my chance against the Skins. After all, STL did ok against them. OH, they might be pissed off also, LOL. I still would go with Anderson.
  4. Congratulations to flea, winner of week 6. He edges out staley - both had 10 wins but flea had the tie-breaker! Great job guys! A tough week for sure.
  5. I continue to be impressed with our ability to stop the running game of our opponents. We are actually 5th in the NFL in rushing defense. However, we are 27th in the league in Passing Defense. So we definitely have a problem that needs to be addressed. We are currently rated 12th in total defense, but we should be much higher if it were not for our pass defense. On Offense we are actually rated 13th in the league. I do not think any of us felt we would be ranked that high at this point. I certainly did not.
  6. I would hope we would win the turnover battle easily. If we do, and we stop Turner, we will win easily. I honestly think we win this one 30 to 17.
  7. Endurance is strength of rookie RB Forte The Sun-Times has an interesting article stating an argument that Forte's decline in running yardage is simply not using him enough. I am not sure I agree, as I applaud Turner for turning to the air when defenses stack the box, but it does seem to have some legitimate points. I was wondering what your thoughts are on this article?

Nope, no restrictions that I aware of, our cool! (and thanks for the emails!)

Not at all, there is no rule you can not have multiple pics in your signature. I have seen others with many more than 2. May I ask why you are concerned? You have no reason to be.
  10. http://www.talkbears.com/Contests/index.htm Good luck, will there be a PREFECT picksheet entry this week?
  11. Congratulations to bowlingtwig and sprout for getting 11 right in week 5, quite an accomplishment in a 14 game slate. bowlingtwig takes first and sprout 2nd with the MNF tiebreaker making the difference. Great job everyone, this is going to be a tough year, lots of upsets going on!
  12. NOS did everything they could to give this one to the Vikes.
  13. Works fine for me. Great catch!
  14. It never hurts to take a flyer on a QB and RB during every draft. Injuries occur and you need to keep players in the pipe-line ready to take over for a starter. Good teams do this. Angelo does it all the time on defense. He has to start doing it on offense as well.
  15. Pixote replied to Connorbear's topic in Bearstalk
Actually, I'd prefer he return and play up to his past abilities, I was just asking a what if type of question, but hope it would never get to that point of wanting to trade him.
  16. Williams' Bear Debut May Be Near According to an article in the Chicago Sun-Times we may see Williams on the field a lot sooner than many of us thought. Now I see why they kept him on the roster. I doubt we see him as a starter until after our bye week but according to the article we might see him test the waters a few snaps before the bye.
  17. No, he's not sexy, but he is very hot.Check out the fantasy points over the past three weeks for four quarterbacks. The last number is the total of the three weeks. Quarterback 1: 13, 14, 19 = 46 Quarterback 2: 15, 22, 12 = 49 Quarterback 3: 16, 14, 14 = 44 Quarterback 4: 22, 11, 18 = 51 Now let's put names to those guys: Kurt Warner: 13, 14, 19 = 46 Tony Romo: 15, 22, 12 = 49 Jay Cutler: 16, 14, 14 = 44 Kyle Orton: 22, 11, 18 = 51 He's not "Sexy Rexy," but Kyle Orton has seven touchdowns in his past three games, his next three games are Atlanta, Minnesota and Detroit again (after a bye)
  18. Well the Vegas Bookies had us as 3.5 point favorites to beat Detroit. I guess they had little faith, LOL. We did quite well against Detroit. Now I see the opening lines for the next game with us favored by 2.5 points to beat Atlanta. I guess we still have a lot to prove to the Vegas Bookies. If we stop Turner/Norwood, we take them with out too much trouble. They also have Minny Favored to beat Detroit by 13 points and Seattle favored by 2.5 to take the Packers. I am a bit concerned that Minny will pick things up. I hope not. They play NOS tonight and I have a feeling they can upset the Saints because NOS defense sucks against the run. If they win that one and then defeat Detroit, they would have a little momentum coming into Chicago and should have their big left tackle back in the lineup by then. I think it will all depend on how we handle their running game. If we stop their run, we will take them without trouble. They will give us trouble with their run defense but their pass defense, ooops, forgot, they do not have one.
  19. To be honest, the TD Forte got by stretching the ball over the goal line - IMO - was not a TD. I thought replay showed clearly his knee was down before he got his arms stretched out and the ball over the GL. I was shocked when it was not overtuned, BUT VERY HAPPY IT WASN'T.
  20. Excellent write-up! I usually find something I disagree with or add to, but this time I feel you hit on all cylinders. Great job. Let's hope the season gives you a chance for many more upbeat articles. Sure is a lot more fun to read!
  21. Agreed, and Tillman did indeed come up huge today! Great game Peanut!
  22. Pixote replied to DaBearSox's topic in Bearstalk
Yep, and now we are there on top with a 1 game lead, all alone, LOL.
  23. Prior to the last 2 weeks I would have agreed with you but they sure did not impress me against Washington and CIN was suppose to be one of the worse defenses in the league coming into this week and gave Dallas a run for their money. Do not get me wrong, they are a darn good team, but I just do not think Dallas is as good as they were billed at the start of the season.
  24. I was very impressed with Orton. I do not care who the opponent is, anyone who plays like he did today should get just praise. Great job Kyle!!
  25. I think we win by a TD. It will be close in the first half then we will start to put pressure on Kitna and force a few turnovers. I see us winning 34 to 24.
