Peter King obviously missed the boat on that selection (Cribbs over Hester). Have no idea where he is coming from there. I would love to hear his reasoning.

LT2_3 I know it is time consuming to do and I am sure you have a full plate as it is but if ever we needed your cap breakdown, this is it. With so many holes to fill in our lineup, many of us are anxious to find out our current cap situation and what savings or "Hits" we would get for releasing certain players on our roster we have questions about. I hope you can work your magic one more time for us and give us the info we are desperatly seeking!! Your help would be greatly appreciated!!

Man, CB's attitude really stinks. Now I definately want to bring in a LEGITIMATE RB to compete with this guy. I do not like arrogant players who have yet to prove ANYTHING!

I like AP as a #2 RB but not as a #1. I, like many, have questions about CB (I doubt his mental approach to the game than his abilities. I think he could be the RB he was in Texas if his attitude was the same as it was then). We need to bring in someone. Draft a RB, pick up a J Jones, Turner, or ??? I do not care how we do it but bring in a legitimate contender for our #1.

Unless we get a competent starter at QB, an OL to protect him, a RB to give the opposing D something to worry about, and an OC who knows what the hell he is doing, you are probably right.

1st, FORGET QB in the first, a luxury we can not afford. The only player who may possibly be available at 14 that would tempt me NOT to draft a LOT first would be Phillips. With the depth of the draft for OL, and our need to solidify our Safety position, unless we pick up a player like Hamlin in FA, Phillips would be hard to pass on if available.

In the case of Berrian or any WR it is important to them when they sign that contract they are doing so with a team with the system & QB to allow them to be productive and "shine" so that the next contract becomes even bigger. If Berrian had been playing on a team with a star QB and effective offensive scheme to highlight WRs he would have been a Pro Bowl WR by now, or at least a top 10 in HIGH demand. He may sign with the Bears but they will have to out bid all other suitors.

I do not think Turner is going anywhere, but it did not forsee R Rivera leaving either. If Turner is replaced, Cameron would bring great creditials to the job. God knows we need all the help we can get. Martz, Cameron, Mularckey, & Sporano - 4 excellent candidates to replace Turner. If the Bears ever wanted to replace Turner, what better time to do so?

You are correct, compensatory picks awarded to the Bears for Players loss via FA versus players gained via FA this year would not be awarded until the 2009 draft.

The more quality WRs that join the FA market the better - Walker & Porter entering the market will help. We need to snag 1 good one and keep Berrian is the $$ is right.

I agree, as much as I would love to see him play 16 games next year, I fear he may not be able to give us 8. We say how valuable the Safety position is in the schemes run by Lovie & BB. We need a good FA pickup or a day one draft selection who can contribute his rookie season.

I want to see us keep both, A Brown as starter with AO, Anderson as a backup & situational pass rusher. Brown is cheap, you will not find a better bargain at DE than he is right now and he is a very good DE to boot. Anderson has too much potential to let go. Killer 1st year, hit the wall in his 2nd, but may wind up being a kick butt DE with a little more grooming.

Seldom does a HC get fired and any of his coaching staff retain positions.

I have to go with JAX SDC SEA & NYG in round 1.

Actually Jason I have to agree with you. I think there is a good possibility of the Jags playing GBP in the SB and I think the Jags might upset everyone and take it all. They have an excellent defense, play tough, are well coached, make very few mistakes, and have a dynamite running back tandem. I would not be surprised to see Jags as champs and of the teams with realistic chances of making it all the way, I like them the best. Do not care much for the Pats, Cowboys, or Packers. The Chargers may be a sleeper here, sure finished up well, but feel they will fall a bit short. PIT, WAS, TEN, NYG, SEA, & TBB are all too vulnerable and inconsistent.

We pick 14th Here is how the order is determined: • The team with the lowest winning percentage at the end of the previous season drafts first in the NFL Draft. • The rest of the teams are placed in order from lowest winning percentage to the highest. • The Super Bowl winner drafts last, even if they do not have the highest winning percentage. • The Super Bowl loser drafts next to last. • Strength of schedule for the previous season is the first tie-breaker for teams with the same winning percentage. • Divisional and conference records are the next step in the tie-breaking procedure. • As a last resort, a coin toss is used to determine the order of selection for teams with the same winning percentage. • If a playoff and non-playoff team end the season with the same winning percentage, the non-playoff team selects before the playoff team regardless of strength of schedule. I did not realize J Jones was going to be a FA. My guess is he would be expensive. He is a very good RB. Would look great in tandem with Benson behind a GOOD OL.

I would not draft a RB in the first, maybe 2nd or 3rd, but we need to address OL and Safety before RB IMO. I do not think we sign both Briggs & Berrian. Would be nice but too much $$$ I doubt Benson has any significant trade value, especially rehabing from an injury Do we really want to go into next year without agressively adding a QB to compete with Orton / Rex??? We need a new QB to throw into the mix via FA or draft.

I thought Haas looked great in preseason. What the heck happened? I have been waiting 17 weeks to see this kid get a chance and now the season is over. He must be frustrated as hell. It does not make sense to me.

Most WRs take 2-3 yrs to develope & contribute. If we want to replace Moose we will need to draft a prospect but also pick up a vet FA to fill the role while the draftee develops. Not sure what vets would be available but I am sure there will be a few at a reasonable cost.

I agree 100%. The flavor of the day is a pass oriented offense. We need to retool and change our MO to be successful. We have some of the pieces. I think Hester could be another Steve Smith type of WR. Olsen is the real deal. Berrian (if resigned) is a solid receiver who can give you the big play. QB is a question mark as of now and our OL needs a lot of work. There is no reason we can not get these areas fixed through FA and the draft.

Yep, put AP or Romo, not Hester or ANY Bear, I am superstitious, LOL.
