The game after Payton's death was actually in Lamblow. The memorial for Walter was a few days before at Soldier Field. I was at the game at Lamblow (happens to be the only time I have been there - I bought the tickets 3 months earlier on a whim). It was a horribly played game by both teams. The Packer fans were actually very nice except for a couple of drillrods behind us who disappeared right after the kick was blocked. The best moment of the day (other than the blocked kick) was when the Tuba section of the Wisconsin marching band came out after the end of the 3rd quarter. Each tuba had a letter and they all spelled out "Walter Payton #34". The crowd erupted. It was amazing. Peace

McBride is definitely expendable and will probably be the one to go if we clear a roster spot. Not sure if I would take Johnson. His only real contribution would be on special teams as he is only a SS and he will not be ahead of Alfava or Payne. Peace

Not very easy to find upgrades at this time. I think Hood is fine as a 4th or 5th CB. Remember, he had 1 day of practice with the team. Peace

I don't think Knox will be safe on the practice squad. He has alot of potential and would most likely get snapped up. Peace

I usually go to 1 preseason game a yr and this was the most fans to attend by far. The place was packed. I think the Bears will go with 2 QBs this yr so they can keep 4 TEs and 4 RBs. Look for them to keep a practice squad QB to take the extra reps in practice. Peace
