Id like to let a Center learn at least a year while being able to step in if needed. As for drafting a RB, it'll most likely be a 2027 target, but I predict BJ will want one he can cook with. We now see why he was rocking crazy after drafting Loveland. I think he has the same desire to find that in a RB.

I seen some bad passes dropped and others that should be caught. They are in the big boy league, one making 25 million to catch, they need to be better both QB and WRs. BJ made sure to call that out so I expect it not to be an issue next season.

I was happy to see TTNL post Rams/season clip and they call out Randall El also. The WRs had a bad year with catching the ball and giving effort. They were all put on notice, not from the last play either.

Depends on the position target, you get a DL, OL, or another premium position, 5 years can make a difference. If they want a S, maybe trade down for more picks.

The only reason, if they do, is to boost the defense. We were very lucky this season and play a stronger schedule. If the Bears repeat the heroic comebacks again then its destiny, but I wouldnt count on it. Moore is valuable but for 27.5 mil, maybe not that much. That's your nfls top 10-12. Can they sacrifice defensive performance another year will be up to Poles and what the league feels about having Moore.

I laughed at Detroit for drafting Gibbs and then that ILB a few years ago round 1, so I get it. But would you rather have Gibbs or Swift if you had a choice? Its Gibbs for me, but no I wouldn't want to use a 1st, but a 3rd I can live with. The Bears oline was rebuilt, looked great except for Ozzys injury and now being out for most of the year. If Johnson sees a RB that would pair well with Monongai, I wouldnt be surprised if that happens. Swift will stick around next season but they will invest in another sooner than later to have a #1 guy by 2027. .

How close do you think Monongai is to Swift? Maybe 60 swift/40 monongai? Next year that could flip. Draft one somewhere in rd 3-7 and when Swifts contract is up at the end of 2026 season he walks and the rookie is seasoned to shine with Monongai. The offense wont be totally off hands come draft. They can go WR(DJ), RB (DS), TE (CK), or OL to start prepping. They cannot keep all the vets, great teams know how to cycle.

They need to get a defense to have a shot of repeating, especially winning the top/#1 schedule. We may have a good offense, but cannot rely on 4th qtr heroics every game especially against better opponents. Receivers need to catch and Caleb needs to read the field like he does with 2-3 minutes left.

I feel pretty good with Odunze, Burden, and Walker if DJ is moved. Draft another later and sign someone with better hands than zaccheous. With all the drops by all the receivers, they need to spend the offseason together taking Caleb's bullets. I love Randell El, but he needs to work harder getting his WR hands stickier.

I'd prefer to move on from Swift instead of more years. Seems like he dogged it until Monongai showed us what can be done. They also switched up the run scheme. If a 7th round rookie can light it up, imagine a top tier prospect with speed.

Kelce said he may retire, dont blame him since Mahomes could miss time. Because he signed an extension doesnt mean he cant retire. He can make as much or more on TV and KC was awful this season. I really liked Tankathons last draft. Pick one might be better getting a 3T, like Christian Miller, Ga. I might be greedy and take Alex Singleton RB if there rd 3. Which position will make the most impact. A DE/DT can help the DBs. I doubt any hybrid ILB/edge rushers fall that far, but DA is a LB guy. That Reese from OSU is going to go top 10 if not higher. Id like to see a 3T, but that makes Dexter a player who needs to transition to NT and he may not be stout enough to plug that gap.

Nice breakdown Adam. The Bears have some difficult decisions to make. The easiest is DJ to me. His is clutch when he wants, but moving his cap to a DE/DT that can make a difference will help balance the team. Kmet might get the home town hardball thrown at him bc i believe he will do what he can to stay and the Bears know it. I am excited to see this offseason. If the Caleb and the WRs both take another step at their deficiencies, we could be holding off these talks.

For sure, I can see a one year extension but not long term. He played great tonight but wasn't any where near like this all year.

DE and DT come to mind for 1 and 2 and a S round 3. I dont see Billings back, think Dexter can handle nose? The need at LT stinks bc we have resources. This is Kirans time to rise, of Ozzy can do it he can too. We need Ozzy back ASAP, but feel it could be into next season.
