  1. Edmunds is pretty young yet, 27. Caleb turned 24 today, for reference. He might be a candidate for an extension since he has little security with only 3.4 mil guaranteed dor next season. He would need to come down a bit because he is still the 3rd highest paid LB.
  2. I can only log on when on wifi. For some reason, my cell internet browser cannot find www.talkbears.com. Did something change on this site? I use duck for search engine and have Verizon.
  3. Other notable injuries: Steelers: Alonzo Hightower LB -pectoral (usually not good) Jalen Warren RB -ankle, Darius Slay DB- concussion. Eagles: Lane Johnson OT- liz franc fracture- testing but feared out fo season Packers- Josh Jacob's RB- knee bruise - might miss a game but should be good by Bears game
  4. He wants to be the smartest guy in the room. He needs to do what works and insure a win. Now we sit on nails.
  5. They came out this series with 5 or 6 straight runs. Memo noticed.
  6. That is what is wrong with BJ. Run it, kill the clock. Now we are giving up points
  7. Bears have to get 3 on this drive. BJ gets away from the run too often. You are a top 3 running team, get the Vikings on there heals then the pass game should be easier. Or 7! Passing is exciting but get the those 3 or 4 yrd carries and some points.
  8. One day he will get the touch, but frustrating when first downs were open underneath.
  9. When the Bears were losing, Poles was taking heat for drafting a TE, WR, RT, and DT. Now that they are winning, it is slowly going to BJ made the picks. Im not calling you or anyone out, just things you read anywhere. I do believe Poles relies on Warren, Cunningham and Johnson equally and he wants all 4 of them on board for any big decisions. They also want Johnson to get the players he needs to fit his style or D Allen's (a multi position DL, tall physical CB, and fast LB). As for Alaska?, I think Poles has done above average, C+. If Kiran or Trapilo turn into staples on the oline, he can get to a B+ very fast.
  10. I enjoyed hearing the press after today's practice since they get access to Caleb. They flat out ask him why he has good starts and ends but the middle is blah. They asked him about him abandoning the pocket sometimes too soon. These are all things him and BJ are working on. He said most times he is going thru reads too fast. Sees a guy starting to break a block and knows he has to move. He will get this and once he gets the timing part down, that is when he is big time. Right now, we see flashes especially at the end. He can play when pressed.
  11. It is time to give Burden the snaps. He is a hungry player, maybe too much of an exhibitionist, but can be a playmaker. I dont think Burden replaces Moore next year, but Zaccheus is without question. With all the playmakers, its Rome one week, Moore the next. I heard DJs dad tweeted after the game.
  12. CJGJ- this is what Kyler Gordon was supposed to have been doing all year. Glad we gave this guy a chance and we can see a staple of DA defense work.
  13. The Bears know how to play there fans. Bringing business to Chicago cardiac centers on Sundays
  14. Justin never had the talent Caleb does...but no. I want Caleb to be the best QB in this league and stop hearing about hes getting there. I am tiredness waiting
  15. He plays well at the end and kills the fans the rest of the game. Does he need the pressure to will the team to perform
  16. Ill give you the drops. Rome and Zacceous just awful.
  17. I don't think he a free from criticism. The Giants offense missing Nabers and Skattebo out played a Bears with 1st and 2nd round picks... Caleb, Rome, Loveland, Moore, Kmet, Burden, Swift...Wright, and FA signings Jackson, Dahlman, and Thuney. At some point we need to criticize either BJ or Caleb.
  18. It normally is 1, 2, scramble, sack. That is so frustrating, 3/4 of every snap is a broken play. I figured the Bears D would not be great but this offense should be by now. The stats may show top 5, but the eyes say bs.
  19. How can Jaxson Dart, 7 starts, play in rythem and move the ball yet the Bears who have all this 1st round talent not even look professional. Caleb needs to count 1, 2...pass.
  20. Unless you're Slayton and snag the ball with one hand. A few Bears act like they want to be sitting in their warm house the way they playing soft (Stevenson).
  21. I cleared out all the cache, that seems to work so far.
  22. Kmet gets an assist on that block. Fantasy Football should add a category for good blocks.
  23. It must be a requirement to call these plays to be a Bears coach because it has been a pkay we cringe no matter what year or coach. Has it worked at all over the last 15 years?
  24. Great to see credit be given to this oline. This squad can run block and a good run team opens the pass. This makes it much easier for Caleb to grow confidence in his abilities which if he get dialed in, we can see a special player.
