  1. I feel like his attitude was a disease that spread in the locker room. Players know he is the highest paid lineman and they watched him not take care of his body, play poorly, and he did not give AF about his teammates. Now that the team finally canned him, they won't have those negative thoughts about that. It should have been done during camp, but I'm sure the bank keepers didn't want to see that kind of money scrapped.
  2. Bears sign former 3rd rounder G/C Ricky Stromberg. Sounds like he is often injured, but keep throwing darts.
  3. They are also close pals, so I don't know you can let Poles go without upsetting Ian. They work together and Poles might go against Ian's wishes on some calls but Poles talks to him the insight.
  4. Whoever they hire will probably have Trace Armstrong as their agent. Poles, Eberflus, amd Waldron all have Armstrong. Poles is also responsible for allowing Fields and Williams to operate complex offenses and not dumbed down. Instead of breaking the young QBs in with a one read split field, they are asked to drop back and read the defense. There is a reason these QBs both led the NFL in being sacked.
  5. 3 weeks ago, I was pretty excited to be going to this game. I am now only excited to tailgate and check out the scenery.
  6. So Nate Davis was told he was going to be active today backing up Bates and he woke up with an injury. There has to be a way to void that contract when he is intentionally not fulfilling it.
  7. They announced CW starter before even setting foot on the practice field. He has been regressing every week, had 2 good games, maybe. They are ruining this kid and he'll end up being a bust unless they find a miracle way to save him
  8. This is what the Bears are, hot garbage. Right now, all the rookie QBs seem to be better players than CW. This team falls on the GM. I'd give him one more year and if he cannot make an instant winner, he needs to be fired.
  9. He deserves all the criticism along with the receivers not being on the same page on where to be. CW has been hit many times (oline) and his timing is not the greatest either. Not sure how well his feet are planted since I haven't looked too closely there
  10. How about Allen in the slot, he is a little slower and has a niche to get himself open. Put DJ at the Z and Odunza at X.
  11. I was thinking accuracy not really the long ball, but he does need a lot of practice there and needs to make that a strong part of his game too.
  12. But he wants looks with the D out there. And he want to see those routes against different coverages
  13. Listened to that. He said they need more reps in practice. He wants looks with different coverages. That had me wondering what that has to do with his accuracy. But I did take it as a jab at coaching.
  14. DJ stepped off the field because he became an ineligible receiver by stepping out of bounds. Did he step out on purpose? Was he injured since he limped a little? But since he was not forced out, he couldn't be a target.
  15. Herbert will rack up the yards and the Bears will look foolish again. At least we got a 7th, we might find our future LT again.
  16. I heard the Bears gave Herbert permission to seeka trade. We will find out tomorrow if he finds a team.
  17. The whole world knows he can play but the Bears. I see so many forced plays to Allen and his hands are MIA. Why don't they scheme to get the ball to kmet instead. With this dream team offense, they seem to be lost on what to do. Such a waste of talent.
  18. I starting to get tired of watching CW drop back, dance, try and scramble and then throw too deep. The guy has no timing. What happened to 1 sec, 2 sec, 3 pass.
  19. Flus gave them 3 points. Stick a fork in this team and the development of CW could be lost. Hell, Daniel's and Nix both look good regardless of the types of systems they are letting the play.
  20. Words of encouragement...from coach Flus:"I told the guys we at least have each other"
  21. Then I'd say Davis is riding the pine. Everything I heard (the Score) is Borum is ready and they will play him.
  22. Borum is ready to go. Jenkins will give it a shot. Davis better put in some good tape if he wants another job. Bears need to establish the run to help the line and give CW balanced looks.
  23. In a way, it was tongue in cheek. But realistically, they might need 3 interior olinemen if Poles reads this forum. It would be dangerous to spend all that draft cap and plan to ride 2 or 3 rookies. That is why I think Jenkins sticks. Kiran displayed some good traits (w some mistakes) in his emergency action. I think they get him and Borum ready if Braxton cannot go and he cleans upnon Blitz reads. I am not finding my Frazier type Center yet in this draft, but hopefully one emerges. RG should be an easier find. If they go 3 lineman, I hope it's for LT rd1, C 2A, and RG 2B. If no LT, get a DE to pair with Sweat.
