Love out, tweaked his knee. Let's go Jags!

I see it more this way. We want Caleb to have a great line to protect him, but putting 2 or 3 rookies in front of him will only put him in harms way. I see it more as they draft a good G and maybe a Center, stick with Jenkins if he survives this season. The you have Kiran and Braxton pushing for LT, a rookie G, Bates and rookie C, Jenkins and Wright. Integrate small pieces so the players don't all have to gel amd they can start 2025 closer to were they left off.
 -
The clips of Jenkins pancaking the Jaquars, especially when he was questionable to play, was impressive I do not see a huge turnover on the line, but a gradual one. Bates has not been available due to injury and has played only sparingly in his career, basically one year as a starter since 2019. I would look at him for depth only. I think Poles keeps Jenkins unless he is too expensive. That puts C, LG, and maybe a LT if a good prospect is available rd1 as finding replacements.

From the Athletic, Bears that are drawing some trade interest: Nate Davis G, Khalil Herbert RB, and Dominique Robinson DE. Not sure who is looking at Robinson but with Jacob Martin coming off IR, someone will probably get cut.
 -
Yeah, if detroit figures the Bears to be involved, they probably wouldn't waste the time offering them their 2nd and start off with their 1st. To be honest, if they can fit him in cap wise, I'd go with our 1st. But, but, but... they have to still build a top oline. Since I see major needs at G/C, I could be fine losing the 1st rd pick for Maxx and addressing those in the 2nd.
 -
That thought is enticing, especially having the two 2nds. Would Detroit give a 1st? Right now our own 2nd is worth more than Detroits, so if the Bears are interested they can spend the own 2nd or force Detroit to use their 1st.
 -
One issue is they cannot sign a practice squad RB off another roster unless they pur him on the 53. They have to trade Herbert and then sign an active roster rb.
 -
Cam Robinson LT JAX- seems like a potential player who could be traded. I believe his contract is coming up and Jax could look to tear down and rebuild. They also drafted a LT high in 2023. Would Robinson be of any interest and would a 2nd Rd pick do it? I haven't looked in to his evaluations. Can Kiran, Braxton, or a 1st-2nd round pick in 2025 be better?

The luck of the schedule helped the Bears dominate the Jaguars. Jacksonville opted to leave late and the hurricane didn't make matters better.
 -
If he falters, the fan base will be calling for Fields. Let's hope he has rust.
 -
They get a choice after the London trip. They can even deny the trip. Last year the NFL had KC vs Bears for Frankfort Germany and one of the teams opted not to travel.
 -
Let's hope some of these players we don't see now can be surprises down the stretch when teams haven't accounted for them.
 -
Seems a bit early but this was the Bears choice to take it after London. Otherwise they would have had a home game this week. A bye in between the coming gauntlet might have given them the time to heal and better prepare.

I don't have NFL network and live a mile south of the Chicago/Champaign cut off line. So I missed the game but seen highlights. Sounds like Caleb had another progression in his development. I feel he passed the test and now it's on the oline and defense to bring us to the playoffs. The talented weapons on O is there and the QB can play.
 -
The key is after this year, the contract is not guaranteed. Sounds like he will be traded to the Jets. Will it be a one year and cut situation is to be seen.
 -
He signed there to play with his college QB Derek Carr. Now that he is in New Orleans and the Raiders don't have any hope to win anything meaningful, he wants out. I don't blame him, he is 31 and probably wants a shot at a ring. The Raiders would be better off getting draft capital to help rebuild too so it could be mutual.
 -
To be honest, I wasn't a huge fan when drafted. I had other positions higher in my priorities. He turned into a gem.
 -
Chase mentioned they need to ditch the pro offense and spit the field in half for Caleb and let him work under a college format. Heck no, if they change their plan it might make him look better for a few games, but eventually defense will scheme to take that half of the field and then what. Let him learn how to play the whole field now and when the game starts slowing down for him he will be harder to contain covering 54 yds compared to 27 yds (width of field). Next year they can reinforce the o-line and they need to really dig deep into blocking assignments and make sure the players they have know them amd can do them. Otherwise the player(s) or the scheme needs fixed.

I threw the comp out for Herbert but it slipped my mind on Keenan Allen. That is also in the formula with Poles as they seem to cover their bases even if they have made some mistakes. Allen is practicing today, so will be a go Sunday. It would be good to see Caleb spread the ball and get Moore, Allen, Odunze, and Kmet involved and a breakout game is had by the O.
 -
No feet and long arms. He only knows how to use the arms. Make him do quick chopping drills until he learns to use those feet.
