Micah Parsons
I just dont see the Bears dropping all the picks and then the cash. If the Bears show they are contenders this season and someone like Parsons is available next year that will put the Bears in that drivers seat, I'd be completely on board. Also, if it is only one 1st, id be fine. But it will more.

Ha, I just did. I guess we see his fit different but I don't watch Dallas close.

Micah Parsons
Taking a player like Parsons means changing the scheme from a 4-3 to 3-4. Parsons is great player that would be awesome to have, but then you have the rest of the D that may not fit. Would Parsons fit a 4-3 and be as effective? He would be small at 6-3 245. But Austin Booker was 6'6 245, so maybe. Sweat is 6'6 260, dayo is 6'5 280, Sherman Turner 6-3 290. He would probably become the weak spot for teams to attack with the run. Parsons is a special player but the cap cost, draft cost, and the change of scheme seems too much to risk. If we have to add the pass rush now, offer the deal for a Myles Garrett type.

This is it and I believe we have our DEs for now. (Sweat,Dayo, and Booker,Turner) When they go to a Nascar package, I wouldn't be shocked to see Edmunds step up and play that situational pass rusher to add juice.

Pass, what did Adewale, Peppers, or Mack bring us? No trophies. Trophies come from QBs and I would hold on to all of our assets until we know if Caleb can get us there or not. Caleb has a dream team around him, so we should find out sooner than later. If he doesn’t produce this year, I might consider drafting one to sit behind him for competition or replacement. If Caleb comes out and produces as a top 10-12 QB and Parsons is still a holdout, I might consider. I just dont want to see the Bears go back to trading picks for that final piece like they have for decades.

Camp tidbits
I think the best part is this could burn GB, who went WR Matthew Golden. Who really only had 40 speed going for him. He might work with Love who likes to toss the ball to locations and hope his guy gets there. Burden will have more value in time playing slot, x, and maybe some RB.

Camp tidbits
It sounds like Luther Burden is emerging as a playmaker. Two days in a row being the camp highlight. The Bears going to have so many options.

Battle at LT
I think Kiran should be swing OT and getting him reps on both sides all tc may show their thinking. Jones/Trapilo battle LT and hope are for a team needing a LT pops in this process and offers good compensation.

Camp tidbits
The Bears inquiring only drives the price up which helps them. Every draft pundent said they needed RB and Jeanty was a generational prospect, so play it. The beat writers asked if they inquired and the Bears said yes. You do that in case the price is right and to drive it up for all teams interested. As for CC, she was only relaying info she gathered. She was all in wanting the bears to take LT for her personal wants.

From Bad to Good
Kmet was limited last year because Keenan Allen took his targets and more. Some of the blame goes to Caleb because he wasnt getting through all the progressions and seemed to look DJ and Keenans way. This year, Rome will get Keenans targets, but I predict Caleb's efficiency will improve which will help feed the other mouths.

Season starts / Shemar Turner signs
Nice! These two are more important imo. With DJ & Rome, Burden and Loveland will see fewer snaps. Figure 5 OL, QB, RB, TE, and WR1 and 2, these 2 are left splitting that 11 opening

Season starts / Shemar Turner signs
Glad Turner is in and can get started developing. This guy will be key fixture in the future. I expect Trapilo to be next and soon. Burden might be the clog, you know he will want the 100% and the Bears are going to want some protections based off of his perceptions.

Im 50/50 on this. It will make teams be a little more cautious which is good, but it gives players who dont give a sh!t protection. The Bears better win quick bc once they go on stream only, im done. I believe that is 2027. Im rural and not paying for satellite internet to stream and paying subscriptions.

Nope and they won't risk injury. I bet the owners are banning together too. Otherwise teams below Seattle might say screw it and pay the guy.

If he is removed before TC, he can be active game 1. If not removed, he is out the first 4 games.

Bears Extend Poles
That and how many hires (gm/coaching) have they fired early by going the cheap route. Eventually they have to realize they are losing more than money

Braxton is expected to be on the PUP list to start the season. Glad the Bears decided not to bank on him being healthy and drafted a LT high.

Chicago Bear surprise Defensive Player
I guess that never crossed my mind. Taylor had the 2nd most punts. Im okay not having a high average as long as he is pinning them at the 20 or less. He was tied for 4th best with 34 punts behind the 20.

Chicago Bear surprise Defensive Player
I believe he will improve solely on experience as most rookies do. The ST coordinator was the only retained coach, so it's hard to imagine he will gain much from him. The teams performance and swagger will fuel him helping him the most. He's almost a forgotten weapon.

Chicago Bear surprise Defensive Player
He has got recognition from BJ, I can root for that. Always a fan for the underdogs. He has the athleticism and it takes time to get the body which looks like he nailed. My guy right now is Tremaine Edmunds. Moving him to Will gives him more flexibility and DA likes to be creative. I see him being a big moment sack man. Edmunds has enough size 6'5 250, to line up at edge too. I see them moving him there from time to time with Hippolite and Edward's able to cover nickle/dime.

Chicago Bear surprise Defensive Player
We are in the quiet period of Bears talk since most beat writers are taking vacations while coaches and players are doing the same before camp. It is a good time to make your predictions on players who surprise or emerge in this new DA scheme. Let your imagination out and lets hear who your player is and some reasons why.

From Bad to Good
If Keenan Allen was not here, this may not even be be in discussion. Allen was Caleb's safety blanket. 121 targets and 70 receptions. If his #1 read wasnt open, then all eyes went his direction. DJ with 140 targets and 98 receptions Those target/reception percentages will improve with a better oline and Caleb being more settled. Kmet has shown he can produce with less and will rebound if the QB has time, which I believe will happen.

Caleb Story...
The nice thing if this system works, it is easier to get those DEs than the Abdul Carters. Not saying teams dont value bigger DEs, but the more explosive quick guys usually get picked earlier. I wouldn't be shocked if they draft another LB with speed next year to eventually replace the Edwards/Edmunds in the next year or two.

Caleb Story...
I think DA wants the DEs to set and contain the edges because the havoc will come from DTs, LBs, and DBs and the QB will try to run. We have seen Sweat do well getting to the QB and holding the edge. Dayo, might surprise and be similiar. They will get their Sacks as the QB tries to roll or run away from the inside pressure. Thats just my speculation.
