  1. There is no reason to save any money. The Bears are at a dangerously low level as we speak. The cap does take a 3 year average into account and the Bears will need to be big buyers just to get ahead of that 3 year average.
  2. I am not falling in love with anyone because if you do then there is no reason to move down, just take him. Plus, I don't think Arz let's him drop past #3. I do like the thought of moving down to 4, 5 or 6. 6 being unlikely because it's detroit. Those moves should provide a future first and addition 2nds and or 3rds. I think Murphy or Breese can be great players and taken there.
  3. Kancey has been sitting as a high 2nd. From Pit, like Donald, but he is small. Now I am liking Mazi Smith from Michigan. He is taller and heavier but as much an athletic freak and might make a better 3T. My mock tonight brings some size to DE and DT.
  4. Anderson round 1, Kancey DT round 2. If this can happen while moving down and gaining picks the better.
  5. I don't read too much I to blogs on fb or Twit because many commentators know little and only want to aggravate. Many times, algorithms are set up to aggregate you because you spend more time reading comments making yourself angry. If the Bears feel the same as I do, you give Fields one more year. You add around him to see if better talent helps him elevate. If he does not progress, then consider drafting QB in 2024. That is why trading down is key this year to make sure they gain an additional 2024 1st rd pick.
  6. I am in the same thought process. Monty is adequate but what would Alvin Kamara in his prime bring. If cannot land that weapon as a WR, why not try at RB or TE.
  7. I heard it on Chicago radio and did not recall seeing it mentioned on here. Could be a way to acquire a stud or two.
  8. We get first dibs after Superbowl until week 4. 2021 The waiver wire is ordered from worst to first. Following the Super Bowl until the day after the third regular season week. Then is goes off records worst to first.
  9. Think about it this way. If Washington franchises Payne hoping to trade him but have no suitors, then remove the tag and cut him. The Bears would get the first opportunity to sign him. What other players might be on the bubble to be cut? There are always good players teams are forced to cut to get under the cap.
  10. Good chance Indy is our trade down partner. This mock I land Quentin Nelson G, 1-4, 2-35, 3-79 and 2024 1st. Then at 4, trade down with Vegas for Devontae Adam's, 1-7, 3-30, 2024 3rd rd. Oline gets revamped, WR a strength, nee blood on Dline especially if they add a high FA like Payne.
  11. Not sure if this was mentioned, but another huge advantage for losing is the Bears will get first chance on waiver wire claims. If Poles holds off on spending huge in the first wave, it might be because he feels he will spend a hefty amount on cuts.
  12. All I can go off of is Washington stating they are signing him. Could all be for show but maybe they find a way.
  13. The Bears did a lot of 3-4 with him. In nickle, they went 4-3 and he may line up 3t or 5t.
  14. This what it tells me, must be my phone Webpage not available The webpage at https://twitter.com/hashtag/DaBears?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc^tfw could not be loaded because: net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_RESPONSE
  15. From pff, 3T are rarely over 300 and usually on the shorter side and always quick. Main assignment is to be in the backfield creating havoc. Here are some player to compare. Eberflus doesn't mind the non-typical 3T Justin Jones 6-3 305 - 5.09 40 yd Larry Ogunjobi 6-4 395 - 4.97 40 yd Deforest Buckner 6-7 295 5.0 40 yd Tommie Harris 6-3 295 4.78 40 yd Aaron Donald 6-1 280 4.68 40 yd
  16. I think these are being blocked by tweeter. Everyone I try to open says link is broken.
  17. Photo pulled down, but was a nice Weber grill.
  18. We would just keep checking but glad you fixed it. You know you're an addict when you pop in every few hours.
  19. Poles knew the assignment. He razed the house and nailed it. Not only did he get his hands on the top pick, he has the team sitting 1st or 2nd with open cap space. That is a great status to see. Williams taking over as team President is even more refreshing, they nailed that too. Listening to him today, I have no doubt he will layout his blueprints and this team will soon be the best franchise in the league not by just having the best loyal fans but having the best stadium and a team that takes hold of the division for good. So trading Mack, Quinn, Smith, and letting Hicks and Goldman walk was tough and I wish them well but the assignment was to rebuild the Bears from ground up.
  20. Watch out because the next 3 months there will be a lot of hype created around Will Levis and Anthony Richardson who both have better tools.
  21. Not a fan of using first round picks at LB/RB but rd 2 you can consider.
  22. I mention that they add 1 or 2 FA and draft 2 and that was too many with the other holes. We know we need RT, C and possibly G. Poles was in KC when they revamped the line there by drafting C Creed Humphries 2nd rd and Trey Smith G 6th rd and bringing in 5 FAs "led the Chiefs to add Brown, Thuney, Austin Blythe, Long, Humphrey, Smith and 2020 opt-outs Duvernay-Tardif and Niang" I think Poles keeps bringing the talent in until they are great with solid depth.
  23. I project Poles to sign 1 or 2 top Oline FAs and then draft 2 in the first 4 rounds. If Jones is one of the best 5, then he stays. The oline can run block but is terrible in pass. That has to change.
  24. Jones held his own as a rookie but if Poles can bring in someone better, then Jones has to beat that guy in TC and elevate to hold his spot. I'm good with that. I want Getsy to put his offense in that doesn't have restrictions because of holes on the line.
