I don't see it and see that will be a high pick next year. He is vulnerable against the bull rush and he needs to improve drastically there to get the extension.

What I do know is Poles is not committing to anyone until he knows them. He passed on one of the top DTs when we needed one because he didn't check Poles boxes. After he gets to prod CW, he can decide. For all we know is he can trade down for a haul, take MHJ and Nix if CW turns out to be a turd ?

It will be close and if one makes it to 8, I can see someone leap frogging the Bears to get Nabers/Odunze if there. That would leave blue chip LT/DE, but not the Bears top needs.

I don't see that and see it being a difficult fire if they win 10 plus and either miss the playoffs or are wildcard losers.

New England - or trade with Denver for huge draft haul 4. Marvin Harrison Jr WR Arizona 5. ? Brock Bowers TE LA Charger - fans want Bowers, they should draft LT Alt. Seeing Nabers/Odunze WR too but have Allen, Williams, and Q Johnson. 6. ? Malik Nabers WR NY Giants - their QBs got killed, OT would be smart. QB? 7. Joe Alt OT Tennessee 8. Dallas Turner DE Atl- they have QB and WRs 9. Rome Odunze WR Chicago - trade down if WRs are gone 10. Olum Fashonu OT NY Jets - if Bowers is available, I can see him here too.

It takes all phases. One reason the Bears most likely stayed with Flus is because a new HC can change all the personal needs with different schemes. That would set the team back and if they do take a QB, make his life more difficult to develop. The QB needs his offense players to know the plays and execute near perfection to be successful. What I do see is Waldron taking over possibly at the end of the year and Washington learning as much as he can to keep the defense on par.

Houston is on superbowl or bust mode. They will be a team to reckon with.

At the time, Dan Marino was considered the greatest QB to play and never won the Superbowl. It takes the GM, coaches, and a team to accomplish that. The Bears might have the right GM, but I am skeptical about the coaching. Waldron, I hope, is the secret weapon to get us there.

Poles hasn't had his chance to really dive into CW yet. He wants to push his buttons like he did D Wright. If CW can run through the brick wall, he will be a Bear if he thinks he is too good to buy into the team culture, they will trade down. They might bend a little, but they need to get this evaluation along with medicals. This is why they cannot shop the QB they have under contract. Sometime after March 20, they will get this done and can make their decision.
