  1. The trade was made. Panthers are now on the clock Compensation update, per sources: Bears trading No. 1 overall pick to Carolina for: ?pick No. 9 ?pick No. 61 ?a first-round pick in 2024 ?a second-round pick in 2025 ?WR DJ Moore
  2. Not that you did anything wrong, but PFF site is bugged and not working right. Players ranked are not getting picked and available rounds later. Josh Downs 30 rnkd plyer - selected 43 AA ranked 40 -selected 44 Steve Avilla 41 - selected 54 Dalyan Henley 37 - selected 55 Ty Stevenson 45 - selected 64 Luke Wyper 46 - selected 66 And so on.
  3. JSN had a solid combine showing great agility. Maybe moving to the middle of the 1st. Once he runs at his pro-day, he might move up a few slots. Do the Bears take him at 9 if they trade down? I know they need D-line and O-line help, but JSN at slot would fit perfect with Claypool and Mooney.
  4. If the Bears run a Lovie style D, then using your premium draft pick on a CB would be out, imo. I said this earlier, but Justin Fields said he would like the Bears to get JSN, but he understands they need to get the big guys in the trenches. I would not be surprised if they take his boy.
  5. From a piece on nfl website by draft analyst Chad Reuter, he says he compares Chandler Jones. Same body and athletic type. He is the most ready to play edge player. His personality is supposedly off the charts as he will become a face of the franchise. Andre Carter = Brian Burns Isiah Foskey = Matt Judon
  6. I just do not see that character fitting Poles, Eberflus and for sure not the McCaskeys. There are many teams that will take the chance but the Bears are not.
  7. Agree. Left his teammates/friends to die, fled the scene, and lied to authorities. He needs to speak the truth and admit he made a mistake. If he can stand up to it publicly, then maybe I would be okay if the Bears take him. Mistakes happen, just come forward.
  8. I was happy to see the Bears end up at #1 overall more so to get the extra draft capital to bring in more players and do so for many years rather than take a generational player that can be hurt multiple times through theit career. Look at Mack, we gave up a lot of capital and he made a huge difference at first but faded.
  9. Answers above. I hope this don't drag out and the courts can let the public know.
  10. Supposedly he has played more 3T than edge. Maybe the Bears like him there?
  11. It is too bad. I've been hearing and reading many people say he is only a kid and it is a misdemeanor, like it is okay. Imagine being the parents of the kids that died. Knowing he didn't even call 911, that would be public record if he did. He may get exonerated, but that won't erase concerns of his character. I do not think the McCaskeys will allow Poles to draft him. This seals in Tyree Wilson DE as my defensive player to build around. Trade down and gain the capital.
  12. It is huge news today. I did not know this before. If they are now making the arrest, they were able to link him in the area possibly with cell phone records to pin him in the vicinity. Not sure how the NFL will handle this, but I am sure the Bears will avoid him.
  13. Looks like Jalen Carter can be scratched off our big board if reports are true he was arrested for reckless driving after a fatality.
  14. I would do it. I knew there was a newer chart but had the old one saved.
  15. Using the ole NFL trade value chart, Detroit value: Rd1-6=1600, rd1-18=900, rd2-55=350 and a 2024 2nd rd pick = 250-300. Chicago pick 1 = 3000.
  16. The Bears will need to spend money though. They need to get their salary cap at the high end of the limit since over the past 2-3 years they have been rolling cap over since they have been under. The key is Poles getting his targets and not missing this year like he did on Bates.
  17. I would love to see Lovie Smith announce the Bears first pick. That would be savage. It would be even better of Houston has to trade up fearing Indy will take their QB.
  18. Getting a future 1st from a bad team needing a QB means it could potentially be a slot 1-5 pick again. If so, imagine being able to trade down again in 2024 and gain more assets. That is patriot power moves
  19. Or if he drops to 22-28 range, move up with some of the capital we gained from moving down I don't want to miss out on a D line playmaker.
  20. Jaxon Smith Njigba is a great slot WR....just saying.
  21. They didn't but did. Going off Claypools college tape and his first year, he was worth 32. He will be much improved year 2 since he will know the playbook and have some chemistry built with Fields. He potential is still more than most WRs in the 23 draft.
  22. If it takes pick 33 and 92 and a 6 or 7th, why not get one of the better WRs that the QB is comfortable with.
  23. Poles is not handcuffed to not trading up. We know he is trading down with pick 1. Don't be surprised if he moves up and down to get his players or Fields players. Fields said he would like JSN and I don't think it was all love talk to a former teammate.
  24. I can dig this. I am finding some additional 3T/DT that are listed primarily as edge players. I think that position is a little deeper if you add them.
  25. Let's say we kept the pick and take a WR at 32. Who would you rather have? Claypool or any WR slotted after 32. I would trade up with that pick for JSN if that is an option.
