Since this is the first I've ever heard Forte's work ethic questioned, I'll take it with a grain of salt. For me, he was injured this year. Simple as that. I do like the Taylor signing to take a load off of Forte and now he wont have to play through an injury with another legit back on the roster.

I read the Bears dropped out after the seeking price was over 8+ a year. Fine with me.

I have reservations too, however, like someone said in another post, the fact that the Bears are going this hard after the top free agent is exciting in itself. Kind of like the Cutler trade. I thought we gave up too much, but I applauded the bold move.

i Hear ya man, Rolle is great at taking mistakes to the house, which inflates his value. I dont think he has the speed to be what we need. In fact, I think it is exactly like moving Tillman to FS. I'm just afraid we are going to spend big on Peppers and Rolle and Peppers is going to stop playing and Rolle will get torched. I am in the camp of Kampman and Atogwe

First, I dont think Lovie and Angelo will do that. The fact that we have already signed a giant TE, plus are rumored to be interested in another leads me to think that it will be business as usual for Martz. When has he ever adapted to his players? What do you think happened when Singletary had the almost same discussion about handing off to a running back better than Forte once in awhile or maybe throwing to a TE better than Olsen? The guy got fired. I think Lovie and Angelo have put all of their cards on the table with Martz and are going to ride with him til they die. For me, I was not for the Martz move, but I am interested as hell to see what happens. There is such a wide range of possibilities here that I literally have no expectations. I mean it wouldn't surprise me if Cutler dies from the pounding or he wins MVP with the greatest passing game the Bears have ever seen. I do , however, think the people who think Martz will run more because of the weather of now suddenly use the TE a ton will be disappointed. Maybe I'm wrong but history says no. YEah but he drafted Olsen to begin with, so.....

Yes but if Martz doesn't use him, where does his value go? So, in my mind you have a couple different options. 1) Martz makes the offense "stupid" good and sticks around more than one year. Olsen's value would be in the toilet, because in my opinion, Martz is not going to play him at WR. 2) Martz is here one year then we have a work stoppage. Then, two years later, maybe we hire a person that would work with a no block all catch TE. If its Cowher, I dont even know if he would like that sort of TE. 3) Martz is here for a year, no work stoppage, maybe we get a guy who would use him right, maybe not. For me, I would take the pick now and try to get a FS, DE, or CB. The draft is supposed to be deep at FS. So who knows. I think TE is a position of depth for us with Dez, Olsen, and Davis. IMO I dont think Olsen will ever be worth where we drafted him.

That was what I had read somewhere else too. One of NE 2nd rounders. We'll see if it happens.

Its all good dude. My point in starting all of this was to say that I would not be surprised if Olsen was gone based on Martz' preference for blocking TE's. Even if he is just to be here one year, I think that he should be bringing in people who he feels will make his offense successful.

Relax man. He calls himself "Your Boy Roy". He is obviously not your personal boy. I'm sorry dude. I think that guy is hilarious. Commentary aside, they are in fact examples of Olsen not doing things well, at the very least. You are right, though, that Roy makes them more than they probably are. The video is there though. And if I am "the guy who always seems to think the smartest fan is pathetic compared to the dumbest coach" then I am surprised that you dont like this since it always seems like you are the guy who thinks that all fans are smarter than all coaches.
