Surly you dont cherish ALL human life over animals. There are shades of gray for these types of things. Like you wouldn't choose to save someone who murdered your neighbor over your pet dog. I dont know about you but my dogs are part of my family and I absolutely value their lives over some of the scumbags who inhibit our planet.

Usually I would agree with you, but in this type of discussion its relevent as a maturity and ignorance issue. Think back to when you were in school. Surely some of your views and beliefs have been changed by life experiences and interacting with different types of people. Hopefully he can learn something from you.

Well the first thing is, he was being compared to George, not because of the similar trade, but because he has all this talent and there are the leadership questions. The fact that the first thing McDaniels did is trade to trade for Cassell, who has a ton of questions himself, is crazy to me. If Cutler is so damn good, why would you do that? The second thing is that I wouldn't be opposed to getting him as I think he is better than Orton. But some of the proposals in this thread are crazy. Give up our whole draft. And then trade away the best running back we have had since Neal frikin Anderson. Like I said, if we can get him for our first this year and a player like Harris or Hester, I'm good with it. But some people are acting like this guy is Dan Marino.

I like to move to get Pace.
-
So if Cutler is so good why did the first thing McDaniels try to do is trade for Cassell?
-
Yes but Pace is not some third rate hack like Furrey. The WRs that compare to where Race is are Holt and Harrison. So would you bring in Holt or Harrison to the WR core?
-
Sorry guys. I am not sold on Cutler at all. When I hear the name Jeff George brought up in comparison, it scares me. I know he has a big arm, but I'm not sold his being able to be a leader. Especially with how he has acted during this whole deal. Look how Orton acts when rumors about Cutler are brought up. He doesn't act like a little b*tch. He takes it in stride and with some class. The most I would give up is our first this year. There is no way I give up a 1, 2,3. And if you want to ship Forte away I think you are insane.

I disagree on some and agree on some. I would like the signing of Pace, as I liked the signings of Omi and Shaff. The reasons I like these signings is that it makes our oline better for next year as we would be upgrading 3 and possible 4 positions along it. I think Omi is young enough to be a starter for awhile. Shaff I think could upgrade us for 3-4 years or until someone else develops. Pace I would like for a couple years to bring some, IMO, much needed leadership to the Oline. I dont believe Kruetz gives us much from that standpoint. And in speaking of Kruetz we need to start looking for a C. Maybe the idea is to move Beekman inside in a couple of years. Anyway, it makes us better immediately for next year, which is going to be a key one for Lovie. A draft pick or picks would take longer to make a positive impact IMO. Plus Omi and Shaff can be plugged in at different positions to solidify things. I also agree that we need to spend a high pick on an OL. We need to get that guy learning and ready to take over for someone. The good thing about the deals for Omi and Shaff is that they are easy to get out of if a draft pick develops. I also agree with you on the type of receiver. I would love to see Robiskie here. If that means we trade down so the value is better, then so be it. IMO we also need a FS and a DE like Anderson was his rookie season. We really need an edge rusher who is going to bring the fear.

Bush> Harvin Hester > Harvin

I agree with nfo. I think the animal cruelty issue is not one for the boards. The whole cruelty to men vs animals has tons of grey area that is probably not worth getting into.
-
ummmm I'm pretty sure if he signed here he wouldn't be riding the pine.
-
The problem is you have no basis for that conclusion other than ignorance. Where do you get he thinks blacks are still being oppressed, other than from your "observation"? What has Lovie ever done for you to think that if Vick was white he wouldn't say the same things? Nothing. Its pretty obvious you have some stereotypical views of blacks and minorities in general.
-
You get the feeling he thinks blacks and minorities need extra help???? From what exactly??? You are walking a very fine line here and you would be well served to shut it down. I get that you are a high school senior so you have it all figured out, but your immaturity is speaking volumes here.
-
Agree. We need WR who can catch a bad ball or a ball in bad weather. We already have a speed guy with suspect hands (lol I watched the NFL replay of the philly game and I forgot Hester dropped that post that would have been a TD ).
-
Yeah, I meant before this draft. Sorry, I wrote it a little weird. So do you think we may be able to find some cover two types--quicker DT, bigger CB, faster S--that drop because of the new run of 3-4 type players. I assume that most of those teams will be after the tweeners like you say or the 2gap DT's.
-
Another interesting note was that players who fit a 3-4 system could be found for bargains. Now with more teams going to that, I wonder if some cover two players could be found later for bargains. Interesting to think about.
-
You have to remember Bearsox is in high school still. At that age, the maturity level and the life experiences are just not there. So he may think there is anything is wrong with that comment. As for Vick, I dont want him. As to wanting Lovie gone for commenting on him. Thats ridiculous.
-
Yeah he was also a running back. Thats not gonna fly in the league.
-
With Peyton you also have to consider the system too? Would he be as good in Chi? A guy like BRady might be better.
-
Well BPA for me would be in a select group of positions. If you read Biggs Blog, you can kind of tell what positions we are scouting: OL, S, WR, DE, maybe TE. In any case, I dont think this signing will mean that JA ignores OL until the fourth round. But now maybe we go WR first and OL in the second. But who really knows with JA.
-
Plus I dont know why anyone takes anything JA says as fact. I would believe none of it.
-
Well that is sort of what I was saying. The real way Marinelli is a great hire is because he can take a veteran group and get them to buy into what he is doing. I think that is tougher for a college coach with a group of vets and I think that it didn't happen for us.
-
I agree. He seems like an upgrade to last years tackles. We still need a couple of OL in the draft. But these types of moves let us consider BPA
-
He might, but I doubt he doesn't show up for stuff while he asks.
-
I agree its not as much, but I just looked and C Williams made 4+mil last year ranking him 11th on the Bears. That didn't cripple them but there wasn't much value there.
