  1. Uh . . . do you have a clue for how to get Soldier Field Tickets? Ticketmaster is damn near impossible. Although in previous years I've been trying over the phone & Internet with very limited success. I might actually try going to a Ticketmaster location this year. Do they still sell them like that? Last time I went was 2007 when I bought two $68.00 tickets on e-bay for $330.00. That was pretty much the standard Stub-hub/e-bay price.

What I love about it is that it makes games meaningful. I remember last season it was New England vs. Denver on MNF. I couldn't have gave a damn less, except I was tied with someone, and he had Cutler & I had Moss. Moss scores 3 TD's and Cutler breaks his hand. I'm jumping up and down hooting and hollering. Awesome.
  3. Agreed and agreed. My guess is that with Orton, Eddie Royal goes for 300 yards this year. Just a hunch.
  4. Thanks for posting that Pix. I've read about the cover 2 a ton, but that's the best description I've ever read.

Jockstrap??? Wow that's weak NFO. I haven't been called that since 3rd grade. You could at least go for something better like Jock-itch, Jock-less, or jock-ass. I've been on money leagues not associated with this site, and they are not nearly as ruthless as the FREE leagues associated with this site. Apparently, most people have better things to do then obsess about FF, but we at talkbears.com do not. So bring it!!! On a side note, 2 years ago I won $250.00 in a money league . . . when it was all said and done I figured I made $1.00 per hour with time invested. Some would say that's a waste . . . I would say that's one helluva an investment!

Sign me up for the $20 league. I'm at bradjock@yahoo.com
  7. Agreed Lemone. Not to mention, from what ESPN is saying, Plaxico will likely be able to play this year, but after that, he'll spend some time behind bars. JA has been great about bringing in guys who make an impact for the present and the future. Plax would be one and done. Lets get Jones.
  8. How the hell did Dan Orlovsky get paid 3 million per year??? WTF??? Rex could actually dominate with the Texans. He's got one helluva an arm and that offense is very explosive. They have the guys who can go deap and Rex can definitely throw the deep ball.
  9. This would explain why we're not more anxious to go after a guy like Matt "Moonshine" Jones. Although I'd still like to see us get him.
  10. Except Berrian's 6-1 . . . Berrian's not short, but he's definitely lean. But I know what you're saying. Like you, I was thinking Know was more around 5-9, similar to Rashied Davis.
  11. How did Hunter perform on special teams last year? That could be the one thing that saves him. Although spending 1.6 million per year (I could be wrong about that) for him to play special teams is kind of high.
  12. Agreed. I never realized he's only 41. Why did I picture him as being 70 years old with huge coke-bottle glasses?
  13. Is anyone worse at signing autographs then Urlacher? At training camp he refuses to even walk out with the rest of the players. Instead he has a golf-cart sneak him in the back. The only time I ever saw him come out with the team was when they were visiting the Rams TC at Western Il Univ. He was surrounded by 6 other players, and if I remember correctly he was wearing a helmet. Very strange. As long as he produces, nobody gives a damn. Loved the Nowitski story.
  14. Agreed. I don't see anything wrong with bringing him in on a one year "prove it" deal. Heck, I love the idea that we brought in the CB & LB from St. Louis (both names I've forgotten). We want to add veteran depth, and why shouldn't we? It's the smart thing to do. So why aren't we doing the same thing with the WR position?
  15. McBride's one of our key special teams players. IMO that gives him an advantage over Afalava. I look for Afalava to start on the practice squad, but the way our safeties get hurt, that won't last long.
  16. I love the idea of Graham playing FS for several reasons: 1. This should solve our FS problem & our greatest defensive weakness. Graham's good in run-support and as least as a cb, he rarely got beat. 2. This greatly reduces the chance of Danieal Manning playing FS. With Bullocks as the #2 FS, we can leave DM at the nickel permanently. 3. This helps free up room for Vasher to return & for more to compete with him. I think Moore will be a stud. Great move.
  17. Interesting note from ESPN: His name is pronounced PEES-oh tee-noy-SAW-mo-ah Wow. And we thought Wale's name was tough. Love the fact we're bringing him in. He seems ideal for our system. I like the fact he'll be 28 in July. We know he can tackle, but can he cover a TE??? If he can, sign him up.
  18. You've gotta love JA for making the call to Arizona and trying.
  19. Agreed about Wale. Right now he's a mediocre starting DE who doesn't get many sacks. Does he want us to pay him as a mediocre DE who doesn't get sacks? Idonije is definitely worthy of "mediocre money." He's far from great, but he's a warrior who plays special teams and works his ass off. I hope he gets a deal.
  20. Agreed completely. Not to mention, it's a numbers game at this point. Most teams keep 8 defensive lineman on their active roster. Last year we kept nine. As of right now we have 10 who seem likely to make the roster: DE--Wale, Alex, MA, Idonije, Melton, DT--Tommie, Adams, Dusty, Harrison, & Gilbert. We don't need a "fill-in" defensive end.
  21. That's awesome!!! Seriously. We've lacked a "heavy" run-blocker since Gilmore left. Nice pick-up. I do wonder if it spells the end of McKie. Gaines is like McKie in that he has the ability to run-block and occassionally catch a pass. The only difference is that Gaines is much bigger, and we couldn't utilize him as a running-back the way we did McKie. Considering our "McKie trickery" often failed miserably . . . I just don't see the point in keeping him. Why not keep 4 TE's & utilize more multiple TE packages?
  22. Dez Clark is getting older, and Davis is the ideal replacement. To me this indicates we're eliminating the FB position, or at least having a TE play that FB spot. That makes all kinds of sense to me. Intead of carrying 3 TE's & McKie, we carry 4 TE's.
  23. Haas looked great when I saw him in TC. The worst part is, that poor guy might spend the rest of his life thinking, "What could have been?" I'm still trying to figure out when Brandon Riddeau became better then Haas.
  24. How does he fit? We currently have quality and depth at OT. Starters should be Pace at LT & Williams at RT. While they're both injury prone, Kevin Shafer makes one helluva a back-up who can play either side and hasn't missed a start in years. Not to mention Frank Omiyale can play LT. Personally I like the depth and personal we currently have and don't see any need to add to it.
  25. Agreed Connor. I never had a problem with his performance on the field. Heck, he beat out Danieal Manning for the nickel-back spot last season. I'm guessing a few forgot that sense it didn't last long. He just needs to be able to stay on the field.
