  1. Actually I don't believe you. I don't believe you missed the post. You scour this web site for every possible crumb 100% of the time but THIS TIME you missed his post. OK, if you say so. But you have no credibility on this one man. You should just stop with all the insulting comments about others, apologize for being a dickish douche and move on.
  2. Well at least I hope (and I'm sure Jason feels the same way) it's been a little entertaining.
  3. It's not detailed at all. It's one article from one writer that got way too much attention from a certain drama queen. Otherwise I have little to argue with you about the starters. I hope Bostic challenges for the starting role but expect it'll take a season. He'll still get plenty of PT and that'll be good for the rotation. It'll be interesting to see how Lance handles the senior leadership role in that group.
  4. LOL! And I have reading comprehension issues.
  5. Cutler should be able to duplicate his best season with Denver this year with the Bears. That was 4,500 yards, 25 TD's and 18 picks. With that said, we have absolutely no idea how pass-happy Trestman is going to be as a first year coach (could mean he's more conservative, could mean he abandons the run more quickly because he hasn't developed self confidence as a HC and/or discipline yet.) We don't know what having a real threat at TE will mean. We don't know if the line is really going to improve. We're not sure how healthy Forte/Jeffrey will come into the season. We also don't know what distractions the team will face. Will Urlacher being gone cause the D to fragment if they have a bad game or two? His leadership will be missed. Does Briggs have the character to be a leader? Will Hester grumble in the press about his role? Will weather ground us late in the season? Too many question marks having not seen even a practice yet.
  6. Bullshit. This is a lie and I've already proven it. And in this case, the Pats cutting him as quickly as they did, YES, that should've sent out a signal to anyone with a brain. I posted about that in a different thread than this one. Maybe you should read my comments, get informed, and THEN chirp on about how smart you are. That way, next time you won't make as big a fool of yourself.
  7. 99% of the items on ProFootballTalk.com are a complete waste of bandwidth, this story is probably no different. But it's Bears-related and it's July 1st so we can either keep arguing about stupid stuff or discuss this list. Players 1-75 have yet to be released but I find the fact that Forte barely made it in at 100 curious. I guess he didn't have a great season last year but one would think they'd give him a little more love than #100 out of 100. This story is here. Other Bears making it are Melton and Briggs at 95 and 96, respectively. I'm interested to see if Cutler even makes it. Who else? Peppers, Peanut, Marshall, Gould, Webb?
  8. LOL! The Pats cutting him wasn't a clue for you? The evidence was NEVER going to show what your premise suggested. And don't talk to me about timelines because it was two posts ahead of you in this thread where someone mentions he was cut loose. And since you keep talking smack about my reading comprehension I'll just go ahead and call you a stupid dope for not being able to read the tea leaves that almost everyone on the planet saw clearly. And you think you're GM material... Dream on.
  9. Actually, no, you aren't allowed to respond to my comments. Thanks for asking.
  10. True enough. You asked if we should pick him up before the fact were in. If you were GM I can only imagine you'd have picked up the phone and started talking his agent.
  11. Training camp is at the end of the month, dude. Before you work yourself into a panic, let's see what actually transpires when it starts to count. At this stage the coaches and front office are still trying to figure out what they have to work with.
  12. I think I read that many draft guru's projected him as a tackle eventually. His height makes him more a tackle than a guard is what I believe I recall hearing. It's Monday and I'm too lazy to look it up now but that's what I think I heard. I'm not saying this is what the Bears have in mind but that as far as all the wild-ass speculation that's happened in this thread, it's a lot more plausible than most of the other conspiracy garbage here.
  13. As far as I'm concerned, it would have to be a person you'd have a jersey for in the first place. While guys like Weems might be favorite whipping boys on this board, NOBODY would ever buy his jersey. Same essentially goes for Carimi. No, it needs to be someone we had high hopes for who really smashed those dreams to pieces. Therefore, McNown and Mirer are the absolute best choices. We don't have anyone on the current team that fits the bill and let's hope we don't anytime soon!
  14. Dude, it's been pretty obvious for a while now that this wasn't going to be a case of mistaken identity or whatnot. But you didn't see it coming while instead throwing the spaghetti at the ceiling to see what sticks. Like usual.
  15. Are you and Jason married? If not, let her fight her own battles.
  16. For that matter, I wouldn't be surprised if Long ended up at RT this year. Competition may come from other sources if the coaches aren't satisfied with where they had things penciled in back in May. That's what resident genius Jason doesn't understand, among other things.
  17. I wonder if Jason still wants to sign the guy.
  18. Given that the Patriots have certainly proven over time to not be worried about distractions, this move is a clear signal that Hernandez is going to be charged with something serious.
  19. Why even speculate until the facts are in? I realize it's June 26th and there's nothing Bears to discuss (as evidenced by your 98 posts in that other worthless thread) but do we have to have a thread about every player that gets arrested/released/etc being picked up by the Bears? Silly season...
  20. Thanks for reposting your entire idiotic series of comments again. Appreciate it. You're still wrong.
  21. Then you should've stopped arguing with me after my Post #50 in this thread. If they don't have someone better to challenge him that's a problem at the GM level. The coaches can only mold the clay they're given. So if Pompei is saying "Webb is going to win this job because the competition at his position sucks worse than him" that's very different than him saying the Bears have settled the RT job despite there being other better options. You seem to be changing your position, which is fine, but don't pretend for a minute that you haven't been caught flip flopping.
  22. Ha! Glad we could amuse you. Just so everyone knows, I gave up on this thread a while back and just decided to have fun with it too. Jason, I apologize for being a tool to you. You're a fairly knowledgeable football fan with a somewhat inflated ego but I respect you. I realize that probably didn't get expressed in a few of my latest posts here. Peace.
  23. I think that's the obvious interpretation as I mentioned in Post #50 in this thread. But don't piss off Jason The Great or he'll tell you your grasp of English is suspect and that you're fellating Webb... Next thing you know he'll be starting posts with "Yo Momma's So Fat".
