  1. There’s definitely something going on with Davis. https://x.com/cassiecarlsontv/status/1699880773371793815?s=46&t=KrpJmhSTc4DI1sACtjisOQ
  2. Out of the gate and both safeties are “limited”. Ugh… One redeeming point is that Brisker is the only one listed as “questionable” on ESPN’s depth chart and not Jackson.
  3. I suspect Stevenson will be the opposite CB when they run Nickel which I thought was more Flus’ style? I predict Feeney starting at Center before long.
  4. I think although Rodgers is in a better place with the Jets (HC Saleh is a damn good defensive coach) the odds are against them with a desperate Bills team needing to do well before the window closes, a Belichick coached Patriots team and an improving Dolphins team. And thats just in their division. To make it long into the playoffs they have to get past teams like KC and Cincy. I don’t think Rodgers is up to the task.
  5. Meanwhile in Green Bay, they predict the Bears are “terrified” of Jordan Love because of the unknowns. They cite his ‘spectacular’ preseason stats of 21/33 for 183 3 TDs as one reason. Meanwhile all Fields did was throw 5/9 for 180 yards and 2TDs. https://wisportsheroics.com/bears-fans-nfl-are-already-terrified-of-green-bay-packers-quarterback-jordan-love/#google_vignette
  6. This guy lives and breathes orange and blue. I’m looking forward to seeing how he does.
  7. In case you missed it, both Leatherwood and PJ Walker we’re picked up by the Browns and put onto their practice roster.
  8. FWIW, Hester was picked in the 2nd round and was technically a CB. Things worked out for him as a returner.
  9. I like (and prefer) where our skill players are at right now. I'm a strong believer in Fields and how well this offense succeeds will rely heavily on how well he does overall. My two main concerns are with Herbert as the #1 and the oline. I think he's (Herbert) a better back that Montgomery but not sure on his durability. In steps Foreman and Johnson who I think can sustain more punishing direct contact runs. Foreman has already proven his ability with 900 yards last year and averaging at least 4.2 yards a carry since he came into the league in 2017. Johnson is a bit fresher (being a rookie) but also as the backup to Robinson while at Texas. I find it interesting that both Johnson and Foreman are Texas Alums. Usually known for the hard nose style of play. The concern I have with the line is the uncertainty of its members. For one I don't know who'll be staring where across the front five. I know Jones and Wright will be at the ends but who will be along the interior? Is Nate Davis going to show up and actually play? Will Patrick, Whitehair or new guy Feeney play Center? And who will be the other Guard assuming Davis shows up?
  10. So no truth to either Gipson or Mooney being traded. Poles confirmed as much during a presser earlier today .
  11. Uhm…this is a head scratcher to me. Looks like he was a decent player in college where he played for Notre Dame. But since coming into the league in 2020 he has 29 total tackles (including combined tackles) and 1 sack. If all the highlight film you can find of him is from his college days, almost four years ago, that’s concerning.
  12. Someone else asked the same question after Gipson was cut. I’m not a fan either. https://x.com/imbearingdown/status/1696742761263706521?s=46&t=KrpJmhSTc4DI1sACtjisOQ
  13. Tevis Gipson sent a nice closing X-itter to the people of Chicago. Saying ‘thanks’ for supporting him during his time as a Bear. Then he followed that up with a second xweet.
  14. Yeah I've seen discussions elsewhere that suggested Tyler Scott would be a good alternative to Mooney should he be traded. Considering his rather dubious preseason, his speed probably is what helps him stick around.
  15. For some reason my Twitter stuff isn’t automatically saving the links with the pictures etc. So I did a screenshot of a Tweet I saw recently. Gotta admit I’m proud to be a Bear fan for a lot of reasons, one of them is the family-esque vibe I get with them. This is classy and worthy of note:
  16. Welp, so much for the Trevis Gipson trade scenario. And Vildor moving on. https://x.com/chisportupdates/status/1696626551985434958?s=46&t=KrpJmhSTc4DI1sACtjisOQ
  17. And FWIW, with both Mooney and Gipson (more Gipson) still being talked about as trade fodder, there's a chance to still get back a 6th round pick or better.
  18. Somewhere else I saw someone mention that on the last throw he made (a screen pass I believe) he got hit pretty hard by an advancing DL-man. He was pulled immediately after that play and Bagent finished the drive. Still to your point, if they needed to see more he would've been back out there afterwards.
  19. For me it comes down to he and Gipson at this point. I personally think they're interchangeable. Gipson (IMHO) has reached his ceiling whereas (as Adam mentioned) Lewis still has some space to go. And throw in that Gipson has some 'actual NFL tape', performed well during the preseason and is being considered as a trading chip, he has more value in being traded now rather than later.
  20. Coming out of the gate slow today but there’s this about Vildor and his potential of being on the bubble(no real shock). https://x.com/bradbiggs/status/1696513617833701615?s=46&t=KrpJmhSTc4DI1sACtjisOQ
  21. Some Xwitter-verse stuff about it. Evidently he played some TE for the Jets…very briefly. And is another Chicago native. https://x.com/kfishbain/status/1696368395334168925?s=46&t=KrpJmhSTc4DI1sACtjisOQ
