  1. Today the Seahawks have signed FB Eddie Williams to their 53-man roster today. It was confirmed that he has been signed and TE Dominique Byrd has been released to make room for Williams on the roster. Yes the same Williams we cut

    Joshua Moore cut?

Ok it's no big deal ..to loose Moore..but this now gives our new safety his old number #31 without having to buy it.
  3. Chicago Bears Sign WR Kris Adams, G Ricky Henry, T Levi Horn, DT Jordan Miller, TE Andre Smith, LB Patrick Trahan and S Anthony Walters to the pratice squad ....and Marcus Harrision was signed by the Panthers today after being cut by the bears and chester Taylor is now a Cardinal. And in other news Tommie Harris was cut by the Colts.
  4. no they said he was walking after the game and its seems like just a sprain and nothing more
  5. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/...nee-will-be-ok/ Desmond Clark says his knee will be OK APWhen Bears tight end Desmond Clark was carted off the field Saturday night with a knee injury, it looked potentially serious. But Clark says he’s just fine. Clark wrote on Twitter that he doesn’t expect to miss much time. “Took quite a shot out there but feeling confident I’ll be ok and back on the field soon,” Clark wrote. Although he appeared to be hurt on the field, Clark walked out of the locker room without crutches and seems to have dodged a bullet.
  6. This is another reason we didnt sign this guy, McKinnie, 31, who is being listed by the Ravens at 345 pounds and was up to 400 in the Vikings camp, comes with heavy baggage, too. He has been charged three times by police since 2005 and he was kicked out of the Pro Bowl game two years ago for disciplinary reasons.
  7. Yes he is good enough for the Ravens and is going to get there QB killed.....and look how bad he was against us the Bears. I think that he is almost over the hill with Webb only in his second year. So why waste even more money on him when you have Webb already at the same price, and he has been in the system already, knows the plays and has more potential than McKinnie. Also Webb has not been hurt either..
  8. Having played football in high school and college the statemets made by Roy Williams are true. There is a big difference between being in shape and being in football shape. I can be in shape by running four miles a dat and go to the gym to lift. But when you are playing a sport that you have to sprint, cut turn and all the things the guys do in camp and in the games......... its like night and day. For example you go to the gym and bench press 200lbs about five times ...no problem. Try to block and push and person of the same weight around five time and you will see how tired you will be...there is a big difference.
  9. LOL........you just keep dreaming sir....lol
  10. LOL........you just keep dreaming sir....lol
  11. not great....but good news never the less
  12. Well this is what I took from watching the game. I'll start with the WR group. We have a real battle on who is going to make the roster. Its a given that Williams, Hester, Bennett, and knox will make it and Hurd for his dual role on special teams, but its going to be a battle between K Adams and Sanzenbacher and whats up with Frantuz? As for the RB position its going to be a major war between Barber and Taylor for second string and another between Bell, Unga for third.........if you asked me i would go with Forte, Barber and Bell. With the TE we have five but only need three and those should be Clark,Davis and Spaeth. Now when you aske me to look at what we need on the like.......i say this to you we need HELP!!!!!!! But other than that i would put Spencer at center and move Garza back to right guard and leave Webb, Williams on the left and Garza and Carimi on the right side...... this way we will only have two guys that are in new positions rather than four.So this in turns makes them gel together, because we are going to have the TE help either Webb or Carimi in the passing game or both in two TE sets. Now for the defense..we really dont have and option of being good with all the help we went out and got, but i see Peppers and Izzy starting with Wootton and Gholston as the #2"s and on the line i see Melton, Adama, Okoye and Toeaina & Paea fighting for a spot. I think Harrison gets cut. LB's we have the ones set in stone by numbers.....53, 54, 55.....then you have the battle between Thomas, Decicco, Iwuh, and the rest to make the second unit, but i think these are the six unless we get the guy from the Seahawks # 51. As we will be playing teams that like to throw the ball deep this year we need the back four to really show up this year. Starters will be Tillman, Jennings, Wright and Harris with Bowman, Graham, Conte and Steltz as the number two group. Now that leaves both of the Moore's D.J & Joshua in a battle for a spot with Jones and Bryan. The QB will be of course Cutler, Hanie, and Enderle and the FB spot is open but I see Williams getting the nob if we keep a FB
  13. Born and raised on the southside of Chicago... 117th and Loomis........joined the Army and retired at FT.Hood Texas and now I live in Killeen Texas. Two hours south of Dallas and Two hours north of Houston.
  14. Well what do you think about this, we offered our starting center (#57) 4 million to play this year and he wanted more.....so he signs with the Saints for 2 million.....but now he is the second string center....go figure
  15. To tell you the truth.... I hated the dance we he did it against us, but now that he is with us then this bring a swagger to the team and it will be fun to watch him piss off the other team.
  16. We dont need him....we have the guy from Ohio State to fill that void.
  17. The Bears need to be like the Patriots and take more chances on good troubled players. Lets get players like Dillion, Moss, Hayesworth, Chad Johnson #85 that may have a few issues but can play
  18. Not so upset with this....we got rid of Manunny-useless and got another 6-7 270 lb TE that can really block (and not play touch)to go with Davis at 6-7 who can block and also catch. We still have Clark also and the UDFA too.
  19. Even if we got Williams I still would go after Floyd from the Chargers. Picture this with the two big WR and the speed of Hester and Knox in the 4 wide set!
  20. The Buffalo Bills have agreed to terms with free-agent WR Brad Smith (Jets) on a four-year deal worth $15 million.
  21. Starting with the defense. we need to re-sign roach LB and Adams DT, then sign Lawson OLB and C. Jenkins DT and maybe Marshall at CB. On offense I would be trying to get either C. Nicks G from the Saints or one of the two guards from the Falcons...they cant keep both hopefully...since we are cutting useless # 86 at TE we have got one already now we need a big WR like Williams, Moss, Burress, or Floyd. I have looked at the list of undrafted players we signed and there maybe some talent that we can use. We got three WR'S two centers, 5 DB/S types and a few OL and DL players so we can be sitting pretty with adding a few players at some positions.
  22. well that might be true but this now gives us more room to get a bigger WR like R. Williams, or M Floyd , R. Moss or even P Burress
  23. How that Davis and D.A are goneto the Lions and Vikings we need to go out and get M Floyd. I think three of the undrafted free agents will be good pick ups Cobb,Adams and Sanzenbacher have a chance to fit in with the Bears
  24. With the new CBA coming up and free agency about to start who do you think we need to really go after? IMHO we need to go after offensive lineman such as either Carl Nicks from the Saints or logan Mankins from the Patriots or one of the two from the Falcons. And next would be a big WR like Malcom Floyd or V Jackson from the Chargers or Sidney Rice or Plaxico Burress. As for my i wish we would but dont stand a chance .....would be Nnamdi Asomugha CB from the Raiders.
  25. Ok now that the man will be free today.....the question is do we make a run to sign him once the lockout is over? IMO I would try in a heartbeat. He will be a perfect fit for the bears passing game and someone cutler can throw to. I like our WR's , but I say this all the time...with the tallest being 6'0 they are just too small to do real damage. Burress will make and have mismatches all day with the 6'1 and under DB's in the game. This will be a great advantage for the Bears, even more so in the red zone where we really need the height. If not Burress then Floyd or Jackson from the Chargers will do
