  1. My bad. I didn't see the sarcasm. When in English Comp, they taught us that the written word is way easier to construe than the spoken, due to inflection, body language and facial expression.
  2. What's the use of finding the podcasts? She said trying and price was too high. Game over.
  3. Same. I think she's fantastic.
  4. We need to remember, BJ said "get comfortable with being uncomfortable". With athletics and military, there is a tear down and build up phase. It's how greatness is built. I live being uncomfortable for once...
  5. That's a great find AZ. This is also precisely why PFT sucks. They have no idea what the play call and/or protection was when they write performance.
  6. 💯 It's coaching 101. Nobody is bigger than the mission. BJ wants excellence on execution.
  7. Waddle was at practice today and echoed some of the expectation of excellence. He personally saw BJ chew Caleb's ass in front of the starting offense. He says he hasn't seen that type of command since Lovie. Of course, he said Lovie had his own way with established vets like Olin and Url to keep everyone in line. He also commented on the leadership of Grady Jarrett, saying he did burpees when other players were being punished. Love it!
  8. Definitely balls out for the best edge we can get. They are ridiculous to pay these days. Gotta come from the draft!
  9. I agree with most of this. Generally, if you can get it from the front four, it makes the rest better. Until we see it from the front we won't be as effective as it weakens the secondary efforts.
  10. You forgot to mention how those Superbowl teams got their sacks. Front four. For us to generate pressure, we had to blitz at a higher rate than the defense was built for. The result was a regression from the previous year. Do I see a stronger DL? Yes. Do I see it translate to pass rush with the front four? Maybe. While I enjoy the optimism, I'm gonna keep it real until I see it.
  11. Yes. And to Stinger's point; Poles usually doesn't divulge anything unless he has to or wants to. Respecting his vet's privacy.
  12. Poles said it was a training injury and he'll be another three weeks out.
  13. Braxton is a full go per Poles. Open competition on left side per Johnson.
  14. JJ has a really good arm. (Not elite) I've seen it in person. Quick release and very accurate in tight windows with good zip. My comparison is an athletic Curt Cousins and/or Matt Ryan.
  15. Run your mouth when you've done something is kind of an unwritten rule when it comes to respect. This team has done nothing to talk about. If it is about culture change, I'm in. Hopefully, it's just depth.

    Lots of

Not sure if you heard, but ESPN 1000 put together a trip to Vegas for the Raiders game. The whole cast is going plus Briggs, Thayer and Joniak. Private tailgate and swag. And Mongo is going! Wifey hooked me up for an early big 6-0 gift. If interested, look at TrueFan Travel...
  17. I like Kmet, but he doesn't have the wiggle that Loveland has. Cole has great hands, but rarely makes progress after the catch. Loveland is a weapon that can line up wide. I love the pick. He should be a difference maker.
  18. If you look back at my post, I was not overreacting. As a matter of fact, it was hopeful that Poles would be creative. This dude is calling unknowledgeable, butt hurt, fans and I ain't that dude. Anyway, this guy made the video on the premise that he expected the second rounders to be signed before June 19th. Being that was mandatory minicamp, I wonder what his thoughts were before yesterday. It's obvious from his statements that he expected results sooner than they occurred. That's I why I blamed the Seahawks for digging in and log jamming the process. It just takes a trickle before the dam breaks. Glad it happened. I don't expect Burden to take much longer, now that Trapilo and Shemar are in.
  19. It was also irrelevant, as it was made before June mini camps.
  20. Great news! Looks like Poles did some of that creative negotiating I was wishing for yesterday. Can't wait to see the terms.
  21. The first two picks of the second round got guaranteed contracts like first rounders. Now, the next guys up want the same. It starts with Seahawks. After that, the Browns with Judkins and we know he has issues. If the dam breaks at the top, the rest will follow either way. I would love to see the Bears be trend setters and get our guys signed to guaranteed incentive based deals before the rest. A creative GM could orchestrate this, especially with having three of the thirty two picks...
  22. I'm growing weary of the second rounders holding out. I'm fully blaming the Seahawks for holding this process up. We have the most to lose in this situation. Our potential starting LT is being held up. Then, we hear about Luther Burden needing motivation to stay in shape. Lastly, our most explosive DT, when our greatest need is pass rush. Rant over. It's just sucks because these dudes are expected to get major minutes...
