  1. Jurko was asked about his thoughts for when to expect to see if things are working. He mentioned Johnson's first year with Detroit, they went 0-6 to start the season, then went on a heater. He thinks week 9 or 10 for knowing you have something. Previously, he mentioned week 4 for seeing growth with Caleb. I've thought about it myself and think the game 4 analogy is valid, but the game 10 is a little off. I'm thinking 8.
  2. This is my current fandom. As a lifelong fan, you understand the ebbs and flows. In the downtime, you want to know specifically why and that it's building to the flow. Get your life jacket if you don't wanna be in the boat. We ain't docking!
  3. Agreed. Smart guy, slow processor. It's nothing to be ashamed of. That's why QB is the most elite position in all of sports.
  4. I said slide sooner, not simply slide. The sooner slides probably took them yards off his stats. As far as open field running, the vision and explosiveness aren't even close. To see a path through eleven people solely focused on you is far different than eluding a pass rush and running into a spread field with 40 percent of the defense in the rearview mirror.
  5. That's actually false. They asked him to slide sooner to avoid those, late, bell ringers the DB's were laying on him. In actuality he didn't break the huge runs like the season before. After that, I abjectly disagree with any open field running comparison to Hester. Not even close.
  6. I agree that Minny won't be successful as last year. Their defensive scheme took a lot of teams by surprise last year. When you a blitz happy DC, they usually end up getting countered the following year. Kinda like when Justin Fields had record rushing and the following season he didn't.
  7. When your second best OL becomes your fifth best, that's a damn good thing in the NFL. Every team would love to have that problem. (On paper)
  8. If Braxton Jones is the floor, the OL is in good shape. No to Von Miller for me.
  9. Same. I think the most important jump needs to be with the pass rush, because I'm 100% convinced the OL is going to be a strength.
  10. This team has good team character. Even with Flus, they played hard until he list the team. Your mention of chemistry is key. My belief is that it will develop quickly, due to the new staff being quite the opposite. I expect extreme effort in camp. Some guys might get hurt feelings, but wouldn't that be a breath of fresh air.
  11. He definitely has value. 26 year old starting left tackles don't grow on trees.
  12. I would swap SF and Texans. Also swap GB and Pitt. One more thing, I think we'll be better than GB and equal to the Queens.
  13. Has anyone heard if Braxton has been able to strength train his legs?
  14. Wonderful...😤
  15. My problem is, the first two are signed. It should fall like dominoes from there. Either the Seahawks or the players agent are being assholes...
  16. Freaking ridiculous! These players should be signed already. It's cookie cutter stuff.
  17. One thing I gleaned, from the Bagent interview, was this quote when asked about the new process,"if I ever decide to get into coaching, that's how I want to do it".
  18. He needed to be out there.
  19. Burden worries me. He's already missed everything due to soft tissue injury. If he was truly jaded because he thought he should have been a first rounder, you'd think he would show up in shape. On to the second rounders. I don't understand what has changed from previous years. 30 second rounders have not signed.
  20. This is another year where we got the chance to glean from various organizational scouting resources. Hopefully, the cream will rise in our favor...
  21. I'm good. I just have fog brain and uneven temperament at times. Could be old age...
  22. I miss the old kickoff scenario. That being said, I fully embrace the new. The safety of the players is the key for me. CTE is a huge personal fear of mine. I've had numerous concussions and suffer from the results. Although there is no test, other than autopsy, I truly believe it's part of me. The little things, like players that have their mouth guards dangling, drive me nuts. Mouth guards were initially made for teeth. Studies have found that they have an impact on concussion prevention. It's not a damn Christmas ornament.
  23. I do like that Ben had praise for Dom Rob, Hyppolite and Monongai.
  24. I think Nagy thought he was the quarterback...
