Team notes
Pass rushers are constantly setting things up for the crucial downs. Defenders talk and guys in the box see. They didn't always bull rush Braxton, because the other guy is running his thing. That's why Braxton couldn't tell a thing. Pressure was really bad for us when things counted. Caleb also played his best during this, which gives me hope for him. It won't be the same disaster this year.

Coach Dan talked about how he believes Kiran has really good lower power and length. Braxton's weakness.

On a non football note: Ben Johnson the out the first pitch at the Cubs game. Did a good job...

#10 Pick Prediction
I do too. He's been asked to bulk up versus stay lean like Flus wanted. That will help his anchor. He'll have Thuney next to him and helps in several ways. He finally has a good OL coach that will hold them all accountable for proper strength and conditioning. If not, I heard Thuney will. Lastly, your mention of his contract year tells me that he's all in. He saw what happened to Jenkins and shouldn't want a prove it contract, when he can get a long term deal with life changing dollars.

I think you're right. 10-50 are about the same. Should be all about fit and need, unless one of the studs falls...

Bears Sign TJ Edwards to 2 year extension
I'd like to read the article. Do you have source or link?

Bears Sign TJ Edwards to 2 year extension
OLB's aren't meant to cover RB's downfield for very long without safety help. Using Roquan as an example is a little off since he's the ILB, with the primary responsibility of the inline TE. Varied schemes and coverage can be an outlier in responsibility.

Bears Sign TJ Edwards to 2 year extension
Yes, on the contract details. I'm confused on your concern with this signing. He's our leading tackler and covers the area you say he's too slow for. As far as Edmunds is concerned; I would bring him in for a pay cut or outright cut. He quit on the team last year, so that showed the football world his character.

Good signing with solid value. Same with Gordon.

Worst Mock Draft ever
Very true. Any player invited to the combine gets all the medical stuff out of the way. Could you imagine getting full medical eval on multiple team visits? That would be hell...

Adam Rank is a comedian. Nuff said...

#10 Mock Draft Selection
I like him and believe he's only 20. I'm getting excited for this draft.

#10 Mock Draft Selection
I like Kiper's 2 round mock for us. Tyler Warren Walker Nolan TreVeyon Henderson If we follow that up with Tate Ratledge or Wyatt Millum in the third, I would be impressed...

#10 Mock Draft Selection
I remember. It was during the Cutler era, when 75% of our cap was going to the defense. Too many square pegs and round holes. It was maddening.

#10 Mock Draft Selection
Narrowing things down, I think you are on point. EDGE is a known huge need for us. OG, 3 tech, RB and TE are tremendously deep. It makes me want 5 picks in rounds 2 and 3.

#10 Mock Draft Selection
Random note on Jeanty. Louis Riddick was on Waddle and Silvey today and loves Jeanty. He said it's between the Penn State DE and him to be the top players in the draft. Also said that Pete Carroll is obsessed and will probably pick him. He would definitely draft Jeanty if he falls to us. He likes Campbell, Membou or a DE for our pick.

#10 Mock Draft Selection
I didn't think you were trying to trash him at all. You just made a false statement when you eluded to him being one dimensional. I also don't think we should draft him, but would be excited if we did.
-
#10 Mock Draft Selection
Jeanty is not one dimensional. He's generational at what he does. I can't wait to see what he does. Even though I want the Howie Roseman approach to drafting, I would welcome Jeanty with open arms...

#10 Mock Draft Selection
I don't think we draft RB at 10, but Jeanty is the real deal. He's not a scat back either. Weights 215, so that's a low center of gravity load to bring down. Adding in, that he has the best contact balance I've seen since Sweetness.

Same with me. I'm glad to have brothers to keep me in check. Especially when rum is involved...🍻

#10 Mock Draft Selection
This is an utterly ridiculous statement. Jeanty is a problem, just as Saquan Barkley. When a back is so good you have to gameplan against every play, it's far more valuable than platoon guys. It's literally the opposite of what makes sense.
