  1. I read that Poles matched the Falcon's offer of a 3rd rounder. The Patriots chose the Falcon's 3rd, thinking it will be a better pick than the Bears. It's pretty cool to think that they think we'll be better than the Falcon's.
  2. Cheers brothers! ? You are appreciated...
  3. Wheeler can scoot. Has hands like a rattle snake though...
  4. This is is a polarizing topic. I'm on the other end of it, with believing guys need the time to develop muscle memory and thicker skin.
  5. We are solid everywhere except C1, RG1 and EDGE 2. Fingers crossed on Booker
  6. I'm excited to see him this weekend. He'll get more than a handful of snaps with the starters. We know the pass rush promise is there. If he's going to be our "rookie" Micah Parsons, the run game has to get up to average. He acknowledged that he has a way to go on that regard.
  7. Totally agree. His interview, after the game, was great. Surprisingly, it's kinda coming naturally to him. That's a really good sign.
  8. Jurko said he looked great against guys that will be mowing lawns in a few weeks. He's looking forward to seeing him work with the first team next week, as Sweat probably won't play.
  9. Run play was the correct call. It should not have been a deep set slow developing run play. The OL win the LOS and Waldron blew it.
  10. He took a sack cause he couldn't find a guy, then threw a check down on third and long. Same player...
  11. I like that Flus is listening to Saban. I really liked his advice. It was clear that Flus got the message.
  12. His initiation tribute to America was hilarious. Flus calls him the eagle...?
  13. I saw it more as, the team really loves this guy and Poles was hoping he got a steal. Now, the young man has next year to try again.
  14. My guess it's for giving him RB training for the new dynamic kickoff. His footwork, timing and acceleration in hitting holes will be crucial.
  15. If there is no stunt and/or blitz, the EDGE rusher usually goes on feel. If you get a tackle with happy feet, you bull rush him and put him on skates. If you get a QB like Fields, scheme rushes are best to keep containment up the middle and outside. There are so many factors and I'm only speaking D1 level in college. I didn't play in college, but my best friend was a D1 EDGE and played in Europe until he was 35. Each level is a huge elevation in complexity.
  16. Same. That's why I asked, because it seemed intentional.
  17. This guy does a decent job breaking down Booker from the HOF game. It's almost like they are wanting Booker to practice the QB moving up in the pocket as if Sweat will force that response. Tell me what you see.
  18. It's all very plausible. Without a doubt Poles leans on Cunningham and Flus as his main sounding boards. With the picture being painted of Warren wanting some love, I can view his interjection as a way to grab his share of the win.
  19. Around the 24 minute mark of the 1920 football drive video, Poles and Warren are talking after Cunningham and Flus. The conversation brought up patience, then Warren came back and said that the conversation of 1 and 9 happened days before. Sounds like Warren was the sounding board.
  20. Loving the Aikman gush over Caleb! I really respect his opinion...
  21. Lloyd Cushenberry and Andre James come to mind. You say fourth rounder, I say 23 million salary. Don't get me wrong, I love that he got Allen. What I will argue is that a good center would be more valuable for Williams' overall development. Problem is, we should have had both. Poles hates to over pay. I simply don't think it would have hurt in this situation. My whole point is what we've seen in the past. We get Cutler and we complain that had no weapons, we get weapons, then he gets killed because of JMarcus Webb. And so on and so on for Trubisky and Fields.
  22. That's what I saw too. I remember that Kevin Warren was his wise counsel. Patience was rewarded.
